Baki Posted June 3, 2018 Share Posted June 3, 2018 Hi, I wanted to use some mods. Everyone seems to know how to activate them but I have no idea. Can someone explain to me step by step how to implement them into the game? Im talking about this mod to be precise: I downloaded the zip file, i have the newest Reborn update, I have the PBS file, I have the trial version of RPG maker XP. Please help me by explaining it step by step I'll be happy to help explain it First you need the zip file for the mod, when you open the folder for Pokemon Reborn where you are greeted by 4 folders and the game.exe among other things, you need to open the folder named 'Data'. Secondly, copy or removed the scripts.dat file and place it somewhere safe that you will remember, this is so if you wish to remove the mod you only need to replace the script file back where it belongs. Next, extract the contents of the zip file for the mod into the data folder, the mod will come with a modded script.dat file which is why you had to re-locate the unmodded script file, in the Mods folder that the mod will come with you can check the file information provided to see what each mod is and what it does allowing you to remove any that you dont wish to have, for this mod it is important you dont delete the AdditionalOptions.rb file as that is the master file and the mod wont work without it. That should make it run correctly. to stop using the mod, you simply need to take the modded script.dat file out and return the unmodded one removed earlier back into the data folder.
