But alas, it's too late for that now. Moxie literally saves the early game, haha. That's how my Dark mono got all the way up to and past the TakaZEL battle with only two mons on the team. They better don't let those Mightyenas die for a while, it's a really useful earlygame 'mon. As for the Shiny clause, yeahhhh I didn't like the hints of trying to abuse it early in the vid, and hope they're going to set some rules for it. But this one? These guys need those extra mons if they want any hope of making progress. You saw what happened if you have to go up against Julia with two Pokémon, it's just not doable without cheese strats like Toxic Spike healspam. Plus, from the way they're talking and playing, I think they're going to call off the Nuzlocke part sooner rather than later; over half the players have already wiped and they're still going. Nappy talked about how all you need is to hit the level cap and you can make your way through every Gym, that's just straight up not true. There is a lot of potential for it to be abused and there should be a cap on it. With that said, it's a blind run so I can't entirely fault them. They're getting wiped across the floor so regularly despite how "easy" they say the game is, and if they didn't have some sort of caveat the series would end very quickly. These guys rely on views for paychecks. There are loads of Reborn playthroughs but only one Penta-Op. If they all wipe and drop the nuzlocke aspect they'll lose a lot of viewers who went specifically to see them nuzlocke but don't care for another standard walkthrough. It's also lucky for them they have the rule about any white-outs not counting unless everyone dies, because if they didn't have that rule nearly all of them would've crashed and burned. Twit and Mo found some because they were grinding literally like 8 levels or so which is insane early game. I think it's ok in Reborn because honestly even with those handicaps it's a hard game to Nuzlocke lul For the record, I wiped at the Fern battle in OTS Nuzlocking like normal. I'm also questioning if they'll even make it to Solaris; I at least want to witness their reactions to trying to beat a level 75 Garchomp with a team that's more ill-equipped to handle him than most teams. But still, Jay reminds me of myself a bit during my first time going at it in Reborn... I wiped so many times against Julia, so I sort of get his pain... The aftermath loss was still funny though.
