HahnSolo Posted July 16, 2018 Share Posted July 16, 2018 I'm not very familiar with the original reborn league before the games release, so i'm not at all prepared for a E4 challenge at the moment. With the testing of E18 taking probably another week, I thought I would probe the community a little bit for what I could expect so I could get a squad ready for when that rolls around in the successor episodes. Is Reborn E4 the same as the base games? 4 leaders + Champion? What are the leaders types? Are they each mono-type? Did any of the leaders have a pre-set team? If not, What sort of 'mons would be likely for each? Would the leaders each have their own fields? Would we have to fight all 4-5 right after the other? What do you guys think the likelihood of a PC being available to switch 'mons between fights? A healing mechanic? Spoiler If Ame was the champion for the reborn league, it's doubtful shes going to make a re-appearance for obvious reasons. Who would likely replace her? Lin? Fern? Trufa Posted July 16, 2018 Share Posted July 16, 2018 I think only Ame knows all the answers. But let's wonder. First, as far as we know, Benett wil be part of Elite 4, so expect Bug mons. Also, we know that El is part of it. I don't know what mons he's going to use, but he's a trick one, Ditto, Smeargle, something like this. Maybe Anna (I read that another day over the forum) but I don't know what's up with her. The last one would be Laura, but she was kicked out, so I don't know the last position. It's said that she's a specialist on Grass mons. For the champion, I think Fern won't make it. He's always, at maximun one badge ahead of us. Thinking that he's at the same point (16 Badges) he would have to battle Saphira and Hardy, but after siding with Meteor, I don't think both will want to battle him for a badge. They'll battle for his head I don't remember if Cain stopped collecting badges at all while he was running after Heather, but he would be a candidate. Victoria is also out of question (I think) because she stopped after Kiki's death. Lin would make more sense, since she, well, won against Ame. Spoiler Now hear me out: what if, by any chance, Ame is part of Meteor and all that happened on Devon Raid was just they scening to take Ame out of the flashlight while she works behind the curtains? I mean, they could have a Pulse machine that can create Ilusions or somehow used a Zoroark to do the job. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks! I think the E4 have 2 type-specialties since it was mentioning about registering Bennett's "types" during E16 content. And where did you get information from about testing only taking another week? Egzample Posted July 16, 2018 Share Posted July 16, 2018 Bennet (bugs), El (normal), Anna (psychic), Laura (grass), Heather (flying) are possible and strong candidates for E4, maybe Arc (electric) too. To me, the final roster will depend on our choices, but who knows. There are fields, like starlight arena, that looks just perfect for Anna and her Jirachi, or this one with plants growing under certain conditions and changing the effects, that would fit Laura or Bennet. I'm not expecting any of them to be fixed very strictly to their typing. That's pretty much all we know, I can recall stuff like Ame not liking the need to beat all E4 members in a row without stops, but I'm not sure about it. It's strongly suggested that Anna (psychic) is also a member. Laura (grass) was originally a member but was notified that she was removed after a fake letter of resignation was sent in. The common theory as of right now is that depending on our choices in the game, similar to how our choice to battle Taka alters the storyline, Bennett could be replaced with Laura once again. Depending on the path you take, it will change the outcome of one of the E4 members. If you go the Zekrom path, I predict you'll fight Bennett. If you go the Reshiram path, however, I predict El will be exposed, and Laura (the previous grass member) will get her spot back. If I'm wrong, then it's definitely going to be Bennett. Gheist Posted July 16, 2018 Share Posted July 16, 2018 Well the E4 should be Anna, Heather, El and Laura (likely replaced by Bennett at this point). As for the champion, I'd guess Lin since she beat Ame who was the previous champion. Another possible candidate is Amaria since I'm pretty sure she was the champion at some point during the IRL league. Or I guess Ame could go all old school and make Fern the champion like Blue was the champion in R/B. There is also a chance that our choices change who the champion is (or E4). Spoiler My prediction as of right now is that you will defeat Lin first in some other capacity (she'll probably use some abomination) and then fight young/true Lin (regular team) for the champion battle. Regarding the actual E4, I imagine it will be the standard where you have to beat them all with 1 team and no healing or maybe Ame will let us use a PC depending on how generous she's feeling. As for the teams, Anna will almost certainly be using psychic types. Expect Alakazam, Metagross (mega?), Reuniclus, Slowbro and probably something from the newer generations. Of course Jirachi if Ame gives them legendaries or if not then maybe in the rebattle. Bennett, obviously bug types. We already saw his team but I expect some changes. Probably Scizor, Volcarona, Heracross/Pinsir (mega?). Genesect for his legendary if they have them. Or maybe some of those new Ultra beasts like Buzzwole. Heather has the Salamence.
