Smoke
I feel like with how little resources I can obtain in this game, (either because I can't get them until after the fact or they just aren't available), every gym leader is going to be a challenge for me. I've already admitted defeat and switched to easy mode before the fight. But I just wanna know, HOW THE HECK AM I GOING TO BEAT ANGIE ON NORMAL IF I CAN'T STOP THE FROZEN DIMENSION FIELD? The last part is in all caps to show how much I hate this battle. LemonJones
You gotta be more creative man. You are already deep enough to have a large pool of options for your team or better yet for this particular battle. Don't even know what's normal like cause I've only ever beaten the game on Intense Mode. Only thing about Angie that sucks is a potential miss on 100% accurate moves. Never even tried to stop the field. Hariyama does so well there. I remember using Magneton too, there was my Arcanine, some water type or something? Lycanroc wasn't a thing back then but I'd use that if I were you. Maybe add another close combat. Infernape is cool if you picked that, maybe Sawk? I don't know. The easiest 1v6 against Angie is a bulk up/double kick/blaze kick(or flare blitz) Blaziken. That's what I did in the latest episode. Decided to pick up Torchic just so I can check why is everyone praising it as the #1 starter. Keep in mind that you still may suffer from rotten luck if crits happen and if you keep missing your moves but yknow.. reset and go again! Good luck! ProjectIceman
You have two options: change the field temporarily using a terrain move or getting rid of terrain using moves like Heat Wave. That, however, turns the field into a regular Dimensional Field, so watch out for Dark-type moves.
DevR
As ProjectIceman mentioned, you should change the terrain as early as possible in that battle. For this, you could pick up a Swinub from her tower, train it up to 40 (or so) and make sure it learns Mist at Lv.37. Then all you need to do is lead with Piloswine and use Mist on turn 1, which converts the field to Misty Terrain. Alternatively, you could train up Espurr (if you got a Male one from the Goldenleaf encounter) to Lv.50 and use Misty Terrain. In either case, you should then be able to sweep Angie with ease.
