Shenzou
Have any of you guys ever had that moment when you question where you're going in life ? I mean that you just stop whatever you're doing and you just question every single aspect about your life and where you're going and where you're at right now. It happened to me yesterday, right when I was sorting out my laundry that I just finished. I literally questioned what I'm doing right now in life, like what I want to do and stuff and where I'm actually at. Like right now I'm 19 years old and I'm still trying to sort out my life and crap. And like I have this whole plan of wanting to move to Japan and be a mechanic over there and know Japanese and I'm not even anywhere close to getting that done. Instead right now, I'm stuck in community college in a class I don't really need to take because I don't even know why honestly and working at a temporary office job that I don't even know if I'll be working there when fall comes..... Man..... I really thought that when I was 7 or 8 years old that I would have my life sorted out when I was 20 and that's only a year away...... Administrators Amethyst Posted May 14, 2013 Administrators Share Posted May 14, 2013 You will probably never have your life sorted out, until you know how and when you're going to die. That's the point
Shenzou
Meh.... I guess nothing ever goes according to plan, it's such a pain...

Shenzou
Yeah, but brownies are delicious and we're people of the Internet, so it's expected of us..
Ashka
I think there's no need to rush...you'll never have your life completely sorted out, trying to have everything done by 20 is putting way too much pressure on yourself. I'm seventeen but due to the way my parents operate I have about as much free rein as the average four year old...for me, my 'life' will only really be set into motion in a few years. You'll get there if you keep at it, so try not to worry yourself too much. I was kind of upset that I'm getting so much work I have no time to study my school subjects, let alone Japanese, but I'm planning to do a lot over the summer to make up for it. Nothing ever goes to plan and there will always be unexpected hitches, but you can try to take opportunities and make the best of things. I sometimes question myself and my life right now, but I always keep my dreams in mind. Edited May 15, 2013 by Ashka
Yuki
i only read the first sentance and all i have to say is do you know who i am this is something i've mulled over to the point of redundancy
Shenzou
Mehh that's why I adopted the go with where the wind takes you and whatever happens, happens method.... But, yeah in all honestly I'm not stressed over it.. It's more like you know I could be doing "said thing" to make actual progress, unfortunately I'm just strapped for time with having to go to a mundane 9-5 office job three times a week, being a part-time student, and spending what little leisure time I have training at a dojo. If I dropped one of the three I most likely would already had been enrolled in a Japanese language course.
Ashka
I see what you mean. Honestly I've just been doing what I can - I don't have much time but I can do a bit if I self study. Get RtK, watch dramas, you know? I have no time to dedicate myself to it, but still whenever I listen to a song or something I hear a new word that I know now, so yeah, bit by bit.
