Despite being rather battered, it would appear that Ceridwen was in good spirits.

“I’m fine ma’am,” Johanna WAS her superior, “the armor did its job precisely and partially deflected the arrows!  I think I may advance a little to help clear these two out.”

Of course, Ceridwen figured it would be a different situation if they were actually trying to seriously wound her, but given that they weren’t supposed to be taking this lightly, Ceridwen figured she probably ought not mention that.

Yn Ddiddorol, meanwhile, growled at the archer, albeit only halfheartedly; he could figure out that this was a play-fight, and he wasn’t very aggressive anyways.

"Rnnh. Nnnn!" Yn Ddiddorol, who had been kind of just keeping watch on the battlefield as his rider fought on foot, was looking straight at the incoming force from the north, and making urgent noises in Ceridwen's direction.

"...oh. Yeah. Good point, Ynddi. I'm going to prepare for the incoming advance!"

And she hopped onto her dragon, who swooped into the air, if not too high, and dropped Ceridwen off between their healer and the "enemy".

Mount, and then move to N7.

Fallon watched the man with the axe move towards him and decided that it was time as he did the same. He closed his eye, took a deep breath inward and allowed the spirits within himself to gain ground while removing a heavy book from his cloak. At that moment, all of his doubts and insecurities were magnified by tenfold, but there was also....power. The incredible power of the ancients that he sought. He channeled it for what couldn't have been more than a split second, and just like that, it was gone. When he opened his eye, it was replaced with a spear of black energy hurling towards the axeman.

 

He wasn't one to relish the thought of hurting another, but each time he successfully brought forth the power nearly brought a smile to his face. Mock battle or not, he knew that with each blast he was getting closer to finding the magic's secrets. And then he could do what needed to be done.

Verden still seems to be mostly just standing in the same place with a serene smile, humming quietly to himself and still with his head tilted down in what's probably prayer, up until he notices that events are happening. He glances up to check on things. Everyone seems to be doing mostly fine. Although he does notice a few injuries here and there. Mostly the obvious one, that being Ceridwen, and the degree of those injuries is... slightly unpleasant, he finds.

 

"Ah... You're hurt. And badly. You might not feel it, but..."

 

He trails off, then closes his eyes to concentrate for a moment. Then, he uses Heal to try and help Ceridwen recover a little more. Once he's done that, he opens his eyes again, fixing her with something of a concerned look.

 

"Please, do be careful out there. I might not always be close enough to help."

Rhian's satisfaction at driving off her foe with a well-placed shot was interrupted by the dragon flying over her head and alighting just behind her. She glanced back at Ceridwen atop her steed. "Greatest blacksmith of the Dragon Knights, eh? The armor looked well-made at this distance, she had to admit. Almost flawless, actually, as far as she could tell, at least from what she remembered from growing up, before things changed. She frowned at Ceridwen, before shaking her head. More important things to pay attention to than her, right now.

At the show of dark magic, her mount rumbles low like an incoming storm, and she tightens her fingers on the reins. She had so many questions. Is this what it was like, when people described being so close to someone, yet impossibly far away? Swallowing thickly, she decides to avoid it for another time.

Seymore's head followed Cerdiwen northeast, enabling him to see enemies trying to flank the crew, and his allies already engaging; so soon after forcing that previous squad to retreat, too.

"Oh, oh jeez. Hang on, I'm comin'!" Seymore shouted. He ran to O8, passing Rihan on the way, and took a swing at Soldier 1. Mock Battle or no, the sight of the soldier and his lance at a distance close enough where it was a consideration replaced all thoughts of his nerves about harming his fellow man.

Ceridwen couldn't help but grin again when Yn Ddiddorol hopped backwards, pulling her out of the range of the "enemy" soldier's swipe.
