Seymore sees a few of his allies peg a Cavalier closeby in retaliation, and Seymore thinks that might be his best option-the Cavaliers seem rather imposing with those swords of theirs.

[The Nonexistent Tazz]

Seymore doesn't quite understand what comes over him in that moment, swinging that Hatchet-but he throws it, and he throws it hard. The back-end of the Hatchet goes careening into the horse the cavalier rode upon-right in the head, leaving quite a black eye. This apparently knocked the horse out immediately; the horse's gallop stopped gracelessly and the cavalier tumbled off of his mount without an iota of dignity, though thankfully the Cavalier recovers quickly enough to get up shortly thereafter-and start hoofing it. After a moment of sheer shock at his own strength, Seymore recovers his politeness enough to apologize to the now-fleeing cavalier.


"Uh, my bad, sir!"

Still, that is a clean way to end a fight. The Cavalier was close enough to retaliate, as well, and Seymore has some feeling why the sword-wielding Argos seemed to favor going up against the axe-wielding foes they fought... As well as why his target looked quite assured of himself prior to the blow.

Ceridwen watched as the fight whirled around her -- darn, they really had just gone around her, huh? Oh well, no time to sulk, the others needed her help!

"Hyah! Let's go, show me the style of the Calissian horsemen!"

And Ynddi leapt at one of the cavaliers with a growl, Ceridwen lashing out with her lance as he did.

Ceridwen and Ynddi descend on the horseman. Her lance deals a sizable blow to the man, who manages to get past her reach and retaliate with a smaller one of his own.

Verden watches the clash between cavaliers and comrades, humming quietly to himself and just eyeing up what might need to be taken care of. At least, in terms of what he actually could take care of at all... He then promptly begins stressing out as he sees Argos get taken down. Still, he can do something to fix that... He moves to enter the forest at O13, taking refuge among the trees, peeking out for a moment so he can quickly boop Argos with a heal and get the fellow back on his feet.

...Verden also can't help but feel like he might get targeted if he ends up too close to the enemy forces. He begins glancing around, clearly watching to see if any of them decide he'd be a good target...

Rhian whipped her bow around to face her foe for this combat, not even taking a moment to aim as she drew. She loosed her arrow with a roar, and it whistled toward the soldier at an alarming speed. The blunted practice arrow struck his breastplate with enough force to shatter on impact, actually physically lifting the man slightly as it threw him backward and down to the earth. 

"HAH! You thought you could stand up to me? Rest of you should just give up now, it'll hurt a lot less!" Exhausted as she was, she still pumped a fist victoriously at her shot.

Verden's still watching everything. Absolutely everything. So when he sees Dulcibella get taken down by a hatchet, he visibly flinches, just eyeing up the distance that hatchet traveled through the air. Unfortunately, he realizes he can't exactly go down and help her back up without risking getting smacked with a hatchet himself, and he's definitely not the guy who should be taking those. He's also still quite worried about Rhian going around in as bad a condition as she is, but again, can't go out to help her out without risking getting hatcheted. So, he does the next best thing...

 

Verden stays put, turning to see who he can reach with a heal right now. Argos is definitely the one more in need, so Verden baps a heal his way.

 

"You're healed up. Uh... get in there, maybe? And by there, I mean... well. You know."

 

He smiles a little, then turns to check southwards just in time to see Rhian oneshot Soldier 5. There's a pause as he just takes in what he saw... Verden briefly moves to rest his staff on one foot, then begins clapping quietly, albeit loud enough to make it clear he's doing so. He seems to be smiling a little more than usual.

 

"Um... Impressive shot. Heh..."

"Gah... I was, Careless" Argos muttered as he took two blows from the incoming Cavaliers, falling to his knees and clutching his chest. He wouldn't stay down for long as Verden had already made his way over towards him.

 

"There you go... Um, try not to get knocked down again too soon, okay? You're healed up. Uh... get in there, maybe? And by there, I mean... well. You know."

 

"Oh, I know what you mean and don't worry, I was already planning on it. Thanks a a bunch by the way!" Argos gives Verden a nod before heading down to where their boss man is. If anyone is gonna take him down it's gonna be him! Well that's what he would say were it not for Rhian's recent show of power.  "W-wow, I knew she was cool before, but that's amazing!" The awe struck lad shook his head,  "Keep it cool Argos, can't let her see you like that. Aw jeez, did she see me just a moment ago. Gods I hope she didn't, falling over after two blows surely doesn't look good! Now is not the time to be worrying about this just focus on the battle!" Once he made his way down, he stood in front of her and the light mage. Blocking the foes from even attempting to strike them. He looks back at Rhian, "Ya know that really was amazing what ya did back there! I'll stay in front, you just keep shooting like you have been! With the two of us working together nothing can stop us!"  He then noticed the girl's state and how greatly worn out she looks. He grabs his vulnerary bottle and tosses it her way.  "Also here, take some of this if ya need it. Don't want you collapsing on me ya hear?" He ended it but giving her a big goofy smile.

Kris frowns at the Knight who struck her along with a flash of annoyance when her knife couldn't find any kinks in their armor. She grumbles a bit before dashing away down south. She takes out some of the Medicine she had collected and applies it to herself as she watches Rhian launch a poor Soldier off his feet.

 

"......Well, that explains why the bow wanted me to agitate her.......though I think I won't push it too much further. I don't think it will beneficial to my health if I keep it up." She said to her once the soldier hit the ground again.

Rihan's impressive shot on the Soldier catches Seymore's attention, but the rest of the fight around him has caught it better. He opts to position himself to better cover his teammates and fight a bit more defensively for the time being.
