Ceridwen took a moment to apply a touch of medicine to herself -- this battle wasn't lethal by any stretch due to its nature, but she was getting bruised up. Still, that hardly dented her good cheer.

Two shots of light magic bring the knight to his knees at last.

[ ENEMY PHASE ]

 

Knight 3 to Q15 and attack Kerr.

 

The next armored knight walks up to Kerr and delivers a crippling blow with his axe. The counterstrike bounces off the steel plate.

Merc 6 to Q17.

 

Futch to S14, attack Kerr, Canto to T15.

A spinning hatchet from the base of the hills follows up and strikes Kerr as well.

A last blow from an approaching axeman knocks Kerr to his knees.

Knight 2 to R13 and attack Ceridwen.

Another armored knight approaches Ceridwen and lashes out at her with his lance. She retaliates in kind, though the armor absorbs most of the impact.

[ ALLIED PHASE ]

 

The sound of soft, rhythmic wingbeats drawing close takes Joshua's attention from the last skirmishes of the training battle to the sky overhead, where a shadow blankets the treetops briefly before a familiar dark-scaled dragon descends through the canopy and onto the cliffside beside him. The dragon rumbles low in greeting to him and his own mount, but he knows from a glance that this is not a pleasantry visit.

The Captain casts one more glance at the faraway battlefield, then back to the other, and nods. "Very well." He sits up straighter in his saddle, and they both lift back into the air, becoming no more than specks against the clouds within a minute.

Kris skips down to the where the fallen Dulci was and pulled out one of many things of medicine that she had acquired during the skirmish. Opening it she waves it in front of the fallen bowwoman and started to sing a little tune. "It's time to get up, Its time to get going, gotta wake up a Dulci. Hey Dulcie. it's time to wake up Dulcie. come on little Honeybee." she sang as she applied the medicine to the other woman. Kris's singing voice wasn't the best but it wasn't bad by any means and Kris sounded like she was having fun singing it.

 

Kris moves to O17 and Vulns Dulci.

Argos overreaches on his first blow, leaving him open for a counterattack from the fighter's axe. Fortunately, he manages to right himself and land his second one.

Michi's spell knocks the remaining nearby knight off balance just enough that his counter whistles by her, close but harmless.

"Oh runes, is that Johanna?! Is she watching me?! Oh no, what if I mess up. I'd look so lame. Just stay focused, stay focused. Just, whatever you do don't mess this up!" In his panic trying to not make a fool of himself Argos did exactly that and missed the axe man and even received an attack in return. Though he was able to get a blow at the last second. He glanced back at Johanna to see her reaction.

Ceridwen was in good cheer, as she usually was, but that said she DID see the troops with bows coming her way and it would be practically criminally negligent not to at least dismount when faced by them — Ceridwen hopped to the ground, Yn Ddiddorol once again electing to circle defensively around her

Now, with all the madness of combat out of the way, Verden feels like he can safely leave the forest area. He does so, moving to Q15 and stopping to catch his breath, pretty obviously exhausted from moving that far. Once he's had a moment, he turns and drops a heal onto Argos just to make sure he wouldn't be going down, just giggling a little.

 

"Don't worry too much if you make a mistake. Everyone makes them. What matters is that one learns something from them."

 

...Then, he turns his attention to Rhian's recent shot. There's a pause.

 

"...Well, uh. Good shot. I can't quite see who you took down from back here, who did you hit? All I can see is that... he went down to a single arrow."

Seeing that Johanna is still mounted, he stuns her with one sure shot, piercing through Idriss' scales.

Seeing his chance, the knight attempts to bring the acting commander down, but she sees his arrow at the last minute and narrowly avoids it.

Ceridwen manages to dodge the incoming strike from the axeman and retaliates soundly, putting him on the back foot.

One whack of the spear shaft knocks Rhian into the grass.

Fighter 8 attacks Argos.

A little overzealous from the last matchup, the fighter lashes at Argos again. This time, however, the swordsman is able to redeem his earlier blunder, and the axeman is forced to retreat from the field.

The two swordsmen trade blows, each landing a strike on the other.

Merc 5 to R11 and attack Johanna.

Thinking himself well-concealed in the forest, the swordsman strikes Johanna, but she quickly makes him think better of the decision, sending him off the field to tend to his injuries.
