Pokemon Reborn: Ask Your Questions: Quests, Pokemon/Item Locations, and Other Information

The Fush

Question

Since there seems to be an array of topics on individual questions everywhere, I've created some general topics to ask them in, just for neatness.

In this topic, you can ask about any problems you're having regarding in-game quests and pokémon locations, along with anything else of the sort. Have at it, you phoenixes.

Do you know where can I get more Link Stones? I got 3, but I need one more to evolve my Porygon2.

(I can't go back to Reborn...yet xD)

PS: Totally off topic now: How can I hide messages here (The "spoiler" thing)? I'm not used to forums.

You can't buy any Link Stones, even not in Reborn City, but there's a Link Stone available after you're locked out of Reborn City.

Ametrine Mountain B3F, start by reaching Ametrine F1 by climbing up the Waterfall in Celestine F1 (Celestine Cascade entrance) or jumping the ledge and climbing down the Waterfall in Ametrine F2 (Calcenon/Route 3 and Route 2 entrance), open the ice-Strength puzzle by pushing the boulder from one side of the Waterfall and going through the path from the other, go through the Dive spot and through the cave opening at the right (surf over it downwards), resurface to B1F and go to the left in the ice skating puzzle, go into the Dive spot and through the cave opening at the low left into B2F (the Lapras location), go through another cave opening at the bottom left to B3F and find one hidden on the lower left rock. (From the In-Game Item Guide v2)

Also, to make spoilers, it's

text [/ spoiler] but without the space between the / and the spoiler in the second brackets.

Check the In-game Item Guide V2 (E15-proofed) for the spots where you can find more Link Stones.

And to answer your question about how to use a Spoiler, look below at the Pokemon {{Reborn}} Forum FAQ and Useful Tips on how to do so. But an easier method to do it would be click on the "Special BBCode" right next to the Font in your post. From there, you can just scroll down til you see Spoiler as an option.

Ametrine Mountain B3F

Thanks for the tips, and the Ametrine's Stone is the last I picked up. It looks like I'll have to wait until EP. 16 orz

You have to find an old download of the game (the breeding guide is a good place to find these) then replace the files in your Reborn folder with the ones from that episode. Make sure you are saved inside a pokemon center before you change episode.

i was just going to ask about that where can i find old episodes to download if posible??

i chech the breeding guide but didnt found anything :S

This part doesn't work?

Also, here's an actual link to E12.

To go back, don't load from any area that was changed or didn't exist back then (so nothing past Route 2/Celestinine Cascade), have the last time you saved be in a place that is the same as it was back then. The majority of outdoors and many indoors locations were changed (even the daycare itself doesn't work for me), so it may take you a little while to find a spot you can load from, but the Sweet Kiss Candy Store oughta work and it's very nearby.

Also, since people seem to keep having trouble with this, for E12 breeding, leave whatever you want on the daycare, go to the Candy Store, save, then go to E12.

yep I just got it :D

is there any other pokemon u can get in old game and not in new?

As far as i know, Mudkip, Gastly and Azurill(fixed mystery egg content, but it is now randomized, still can get azurill, the odd is 1/18), the former two are each replaced by Squirtle and Misdreavus respectively, oh and also Vulpix could be obtained in previous ep, now the event has been replaced by Litleo.

Hey Guys :D

I have a question relevant to ''breeding''. I want to breed a Joltik, which should know Thunderbolt and Cross Poison.

Cross Poison was easy to breed – I catched a male Skorupi and trained it 'till it reached lvl. 49 and learned Cross Poison. Then I bred it with my female Joltik. The result was a Joltik, which knows Cross Poison.

But how can I breed a Joltik, which knows Thunderbolt?

It has only one Egg-Group: Bugs.

There is no Bug/Electric Pokemon, which learns Thunderbolt through level up. :(

Is it possible to breed a Joltik, which knows Thunderbolt?

@ Mrslouzifer

With the current breeding mechanics for Reborn, which is Generation VI, it is impossible to breed to Thunderbolt onto a Joltik. However, by going back to an episode with Generation V Breeding Mechanics, aka any episodes before Episode 13, will allow you to breed Thunderbolt onto Joltik with this chain: Male Electabuzz w/ Thunderbolt (learns at Level 49) + Female Illumise -> Male Volbeat w/ Thunderbolt (must hatch a Volbeat with the move since Illumise are female only) + Female Joltik -> Joltik w/ Thunderbolt. Also, I suggest using Thunder instead of Thunderbolt with Galvantula as its ability Compound Eyes increases the accuracy of Thunder from 70% to 91%, but it is up to you of course. For more information, please check out Etesian's Breeding Guide / Recommendable Sets.

@mikimos

That means you need to progress further into the story, aka beat Aya for the Gym Badge so you can use Strength outside of battle.

Oh, I see. Hmm. Did you interact with a grave that should be infront of the building where you meet the scientist inside of it? If you didn't, make sure to do that. If you did, I guess watch this video and if you still can't do it, then let me know.

I have no idea what happened with my game and the Kricketot event. I don't own a Kricketot and I played through that part of the game years ago, so idk if I released it or what. The girl that gives it to you isn't even in the building, so I was questioning whether I even did the event

wondering if there is a certain weather to get it or am I just trippin and already activated the event years ago and just released the Kricketot

As far I know, the event has no necessary weather conditions to be met and can be done whenever I think.

Perhaps you did do the event and released it like you suggested as after you complete the event, she is no longer in that building anymore for Episode 15.

It could be that you can only get it at the start of the game. The event involves Shelly coming to see the Kricketot's trainer, so if you're past the point in the story at which you start to interact with Shelly then it's likely too late to do the event.

"Tyrogue: Trade for Dunsparce wit the guy on top of the roof at the nature center on Route 1 (must be clear weather)"

Based off the information from the Pokémon Location Guide v3 (Episode 15) by Lostelle, which I recommend checking out if you have any future questions regarding the location of a mon in the game.
