Lord Drakyle Posted July 30, 2018 Share Posted July 30, 2018 Welcome to Highschool DxD Mafia, after much time it is finally ready, please read the rules, there is some non standard rules for this game and for those of you who are new and want to check out the Reborn Mafia Discord here's the link: https://discord.gg/reK2yFc What is Mafia?: Reveal hidden contents Mafia is a game in which the players will attempt to win by achieving a wincon that the faction they are aligned with has, the major factions in Mafia are: The Town: They are the uninformed majority and Jon Snow knows more than they do, the means for them to win is almost always wiping out all threats to the town, these are the Mafia and 3rd Party. As a town player your key skills are your analytical skills and ability to co-operate and spot lies as well deduction of who seems to be intentionally sabotaging the towns efforts or misleading the town. The Mafia: The Informed Majority, they are few in number but they know their allies....usually....they win when their numbers equal or are greater than that of the town players remaining, they attempt to achieve this by misleading to cause town players to be lynch, using their roles and their mafia kill to kill players or sabotage efforts of the town players roles during the night. Key skills as a Mafia player is Luck and your ability to avoid suspicion, either by finding ways to seem trustworthy or not be noticed. Some mafia are very talkative to try make it seem like they are giving plenty of information when really it is little to none being provided while others may try to remain silent for as long as possible, only speaking when people are less likely to take notice of them or when it is easy to follow what someone else is saying or bandwagon. 3rd Party: Their wincon varies heavily, from the easiest to achieve to the hardest to achieve and all in between. 3rd party could be friend or foe but usually the only person they favor is themselves and no one else, common 3rd party roles include: Cultists/Cultist Leader (Converts people of other factions into their alignment until they have enough people to outnumber both factions combined), Survivor (wins if alive at game end) and Old Maid (can switch roles with another player, the Old Maid role cannot win and so they gain someone else's role to gain their wincon. Opening Narrative: Reveal hidden contents The battle between the Khaos Brigade and the house of Gremory and their allies has reached it's final stand, the last remaining forces of the Khaos Brigade remain but they are the last for a reason, they are the strongest and not to be trifled with, they also managed to evade detection by possessing players of a game called Mafia but the allied forces are struggling over whom has done more to aid the faction and now though working together The Angels and Devils both wants to claim responsibility for victory in this final stand...if they achieve it. Factions: Reveal hidden contents Gremory Alliance (Town): They win when all mafia are eliminated. Khaos Brigade (Mafia): They win when they outnumber or equal the total number of none mafia players alive. 3rd Party: Their win conditions are secret. Roles: Reveal hidden contents Gremory Faction (Town) 01. Issei Hyoudou (The Red Dragon Emperor) (Devil): He has two powers he can use, Boost and Transfer Boost is a passive and any night he does not make an action he will gain a Boost stack. This is capped at 3. Transfer allows him to transfer all his boosted stacks to another player. When someone has stacks from the effects of Boosted Gear, they can use their NA as many additional times as they have stacks, allowing them to choose to use their NA on up to 4 different people. 02. Rias Gremory (Devil): Rias shares a chat with Akeno Himejima, who is her most trusted ally and best friend. She can form a court of 3 people, without her. She can choose 2 of them but everyone else votes privately for whom they think should be placed in the court. The 3rd is the highest voted applicable player the town voted. 03. Akeno Himejima: Akeno is Rias' Queen Evil Piece, a half fallen angel. She shares a chat with Rias and is the only one who knows who Rias is even when she is disguised. Due to her status as Rias' Queen piece and advisor, her votes count as 2. 04. Koneko Toujou: Koneko is Rias' Rook Evil Piece. Each night she can opt to perform a kill attempt or use all her energy as a rook to ensure a kill. If she attacks, she lowers all her defences and even protection will fail to protect her from an attack. Once she can opt to use all of her strength as a rook to make a kill attempt occur no matter what. After using this, she becomes too exhausted to defend herself or make any further kill attempts. 05. Yuuto Kiba: Kiba is Rias' Knight. With his Sacred Gears, Blade Blacksmith and Sword Birth, he can create Holy or Devil swords. Kiba can visit a player and give them a Holy Sword or a Devil Sword If a Devil tries to use a Holy Sword they will break the sword and reveal themselves as a Devil. The same applies for Angels trying to use Devil Swords. Holy Swords attack during the Day and Devil Swords during the Night. 06. Gasper Vladi: Gasper is a Vampire and Rias' Bishop. They possess the Sacred Gear: Forbidden Balor View. Their Sacred Gear gives them control over time, allowing them to stop time preventing their target from moving. 07. Asia Argento (Angel): Asia is one of Issei's Bishops. She holds her Sacred Gear, Twilight Healing. She is able to visit someone to provide them healing each night preventing their death, regardless of faction. 08. Xenovia Quarta (Devil): Xenovia Quarta is formerly a member of the church and wielded the Ex-Durandal. She starts the game with a Devil Sword Being a member of the church who defected and joined forces with Devils, she is able to identify the subtle differences of the aura given by someone who is a Devil or an Angel, provided she visits them. 09. Rossweise: Rossweise used to be Odin's bodyguard before he left her behind, but that doesn't mean she gave up on her skills. she brought along her armor to start the game with but she can also act as a shield to take the hit for someone else. If she visits someone and that person is attacked, she will take the hit instead. 10. Michael (Angel): The highest ranking of the angels, his ability as an Archangel and his incredible Holy Aura lets him change someone's aura to be that of an Angel. He can grant a stronger aura once to make someone immune to being a Devil and they share a chat with him. 11. Sirzechs (Devil): The highest ranking of the devils, his ability as an Ultimate Class Satan Devil, coupled with the Devil Aura that is as intense as his destructive power, lets him make someone become a Devil. He can give one person a stronger Devil Aura to prevent them being made an Angel they then share a chat with him. 12. Azazel (Angel): The highest ranking of the Fallen Angels He has done a great deal of research into the Sacred Gears. Because of this great deal of research and knowledge he can easily identify people who have a Sacred Gear. He can also make more Artificial Sacred Gears of his own. They are strong enough to shield someone from a single hit. 13. Ravel Phenex (Angel): Ravel is of the Phenex clan whose speciality is fire She can choose to track someone finding out where they go, or monitor someone to see all the visitors they get. Khaos Brigade (Mafia): 14. Vali Lucifer (The White Dragon Emperor) (Devil) Vali Luciferis a Ultimate Class Devil who wields the power of Divine Dividing. His active power is Reflect: He's able to force a player to reflect their own NA on themselves This however will fail on NA that attempt to attack. He also has a passive ability: If the person visited has received transfered energy from Issei, Vali will steal it. 15. Ophis (The Infinity Dragon) Ophis is the Dragon of Infinity Ophis will be unaffected by all non lethal NAs and Attacks attempted on her during the Day. (Vulnerable to lethal attacks at Night) she will not resist a lynch though, as sending her to the void is sending her home. She does not share a chat with the Mafia 16. Loki Loki is the Trickster God Loki can Curse a player with a choice of curse, he cannot use the same curse twice in a row. Curses: Curse of Restriction (Afflicted can only make two posts for 1 Day Phase) Curse of Contrary (The Afflicted speaks backwards (the words and sentence is written backwards)) Curse of Magnetism (All NA (except the Afflicted's NA) are lured to the Afflicted for that Night). This Curse is only able to occur if Loki's Curse rule is broken. Curse of Lost Control (Afflicted's next NA target is chosen by Loki (he isn't told what their NA does or if they even have one to use he just picks a target) This curse can only occur from breaking the rules of Loki's Curse 17. Fenrir Fenrir is a beast and can slay even Gods If he guesses someone's role correctly, he becomes immune to harm until the next night and the target dies. If he gets it wrong, he becomes revealed and will be more vulnerable than ever. He cannot attack without guessing a role name of his target (basically he can only attack using his ability and not the mafia kill attack) and can only use his NA when he is last mafia alive. 3rd Party: 18. Irina Shidou (Angel) Irina is Michael's Ace she is also something of a lover She can at any one point in the game choose to propose to someone If they accept, she joins their faction, shares a private chat with her spouse and they learn each other's identity and role. Thing is she never got the death do us part bit, so when one dies, they die together. If her proposal is rejected the player she propsed to is revealed to have rejected it publicly and Irina is given a Holy or Devil Sword of her choice. 19. A Ghost The Ghost player is able to travel freely, binding to people. He does this to survive in our world By visiting a player, it binds to them. Each night it can opt to stay with the player or choose someone else to visit. If the one it is bound to dies before it can pick a new host or the target it wanted to possess dies, it will vanish from this world too as it cannot survive the day phase without binding to someone. It cannot bind to someone it just unbound from. Items: Reveal hidden contents Sacred Gear Armor - Blocks a single kill attempt automatically, is used up and destroying blocking the attempt. Holy Sword - A sword capable of killing during the Day, it cannot be used by players who are Devils Devil Sword - A sword capable of killing during the Night, it cannot be used by players who are Angels Rules: Reveal hidden contents (1) The Reborn Forum rules apply here. (2) All Player Discussion must be kept in the thread; mandated special private chats may also be utilized. Other forms of contact outside of these such as Private Chats without the Host’s permission, IRL contact, and other methods are not allowed. (3) Day Phase lasts for 48 hours. Players must make at least 2 posts and vote per day phase. Failure to meet this requirement for two day phases (even non consecutive) will result in replacement or mod intervention. (4) Voting is done in the format: [Eliminate] Player Name or in similar formats. Changing of votes may be done in this format: [Unvote] Player Name. All votes must be placed in bold or they are not counted. You must vote every day and the most voted player will be lynched.  (5) Night Phase lasts for 24 hours. Players are not allowed to comment in the thread. Violation of this rule will result in warning (1st offence) and disqualification (2nd offence). (6) Sharing of Role PMs – through screenshots, verbatim copying, or other forms – to other players is illegal. Consequences will be given to violators. (7) If you are eliminated in any way, you may have a final post, that will not reflect critical game information such as night actions and the like. (8) Actions – day or night – should be sent to me via PM (Forums) or DM (Discord). (9) Editing of posts is discouraged. Please keep editing to a minimum short of minor errors being corrected. (10) Roleclaiming is limited to only one roleclaim per day, discussion and counterclaims are allowed to that one role though during the same day phase. (11) Roleclaiming within private chats is forbidden except for the mafia, discussions on Night Actions is only allowed in the Court Chat or Mafia Chat. (12) Respect the host and other players! Have fun! Other Important Stuff: Reveal hidden contents The Court of Gremory: Rias' court of 3 chosen players, Rias chooses which power they will be using each night (the decision is made during the day), the 3 in the court decide who to use the court power on, each member of the court is assigned an evil piece which while that court member is alive allows usage of the court ability: Bishop grants Protect power (the bishop will die if they try to protect one of the Mafia, Rook grants Attack power and Knight grants the power to swap two players positions. The same power can't be used twice in a row. Role Priority of Actions: Court Knight > Gasper > Vali > Asia = Court Bishop > Azazel = Yuuto > Michael = Sirzechs > Xenovia > Rossweise > Loki > Koneko = Mafia Kill = Fenrir = Court Rook = Devil Sword > Issei > Ghost Roles do not get revealed upon death! Lord Drakyle Posted September 2, 2018 Author Share Posted September 2, 2018 In 24 hours the game will begin, as the player count is reduced the following changes will be in place: Ophis will not be immune to NAs and will be apart of the Mafia Chat (she is still immune to attacks during the Day) Fenrir (Mafia), Irina Shodou (3rd Party), Xenovia Quartz (Town) and Revel Phenex (Town) will be removed from the role line up. Looking to each other in everyone's minds fingers were being pointed. What more would this day bring, the next night seem so close and yet so far away.... purplecicada has died, they were ???
