Maelstrom
I wanted to see this before, then this video came out: I'm definitely gonna go see this when it comes out. Tfw Glados is controlling Jaeger launch
Shenzou
They're American versions of Gundams/Mobile Suits, that's all they really are. Still I want to go see this, it would be nice if they broke out a Mecha that used a scythe.
Maelstrom
More like American version of Mecha-Godzillas/evangelion.
Shenzou
Well they pretty much used every detail of Mecha/Gundam Anime as a reference point.
Maelstrom
I finally got a chance to go to the theaters and saw this. It. Was. Epic. The battles were awesome. The drama/storyline fit in really well and didn't drag down the movie. So many throwbacks to anime. So many throwbacks to classic Japanese daikaiju genre (aka Godzilla type stuff for you laymen). Being a fan of both... I frigging loved it. But trust me, you don't have to be a fan of the old stuff to enjoy this one. It ain't your slow mo, guy in a suit stuff your grandpappy used to watch. Notch up another one under the category of movies that were good that Mael totally called beforehand.

This movie was excellent, and lived up to all the expectations that the comics set up.I'm looking forward to Del Toro's work on the sequal.
