Godot
So when Ridley and Inkling went live, they were launched to the public in the e3 demo, so learning their movesets wasn't a problem.... but now that Simon/Richter Belmont and King Krusha Rool are out, we have a lot of questions that I honestly forgot would be getting asked... So I decided to do what I used to do with Smash 4... Try and predict their movesets! Let's Start! Simon and Richter Belmont I don't know a ton about these two history wise... but here is what I can decipher from their footage. By the way, they clearly share the same moveset. Neutral Special aka Axe: Throws an Axe at an arc, hits multiple times. (might actually be side special) Side Special aka Cross: Throws a Holy Cross that acts like a boomerang. (might be Neutral or Down Special) Down Special aka Holy Water: Tosses a vial of Holy Water. The vial locks down the area doing damage over time or creates a wall that acts as an obstacle for your opponent. Simon's Vial burns RED while Richter's burns BLUE! (Might actually be their side special) Up Special or Recovery aka Uppercut: Performs a rising uppercut attack. Edit: It's been found that Simon and Richter's up Special have different physics and Hitboxes. Simon uses a Dagger and Richter uses a Sword. Jab: I had a difficult time deciphering this move... but I am pretty sure it is a jab. What's weird about it is that it is a straight strong attack (just like in the original games) and if you hold the button down, the chain will stay out and go limp, allowing you to swing it around freely. This attack has the versatility to act as a defensive option as well. Some footage has been shown nullifying some pretty strong projectiles. Forward Smash: Flickers and puts their foot forward unleashing a powerful whip attack after flicking the whip. Down Tilt: Slides across the ground. This attack that has a follow up attack where they spring off of the ground and perform a flying kick. Up Tilt: Performs a circular motion above their head. Seems good either as an anti-air or a platform bully tool controlling the space directly above their heads. Up Smash: Flicks their whip and attacks straight up. Dash Attack: Moves forward while spinning their whip around them creating an area of rapid fire damage around them. Neutral Aerial or Nair: Spins the whip in a full moon motion encompassing their body. Seems to be a decent combo starting tool like most nairs. Footage makes it look like Richter can combo Nair into grab. Forward Aerial or Fair: Flicks their whip and strikes it forward. It can apparently attack straight ahead or diagonally. I can't tell if the attack tracks or has to be aimed. Backwards Aerial: Similar to their fair, they flick their whip and swing it backwards. Interestingly Simon is seen using this attack as a tether recovery. There is no footage of him using his Fair as a tether recovery. Their grab is not a tether, just in case you are wondering. Up Aerial: The Belmonts' flick their whip and swing it straight upwards. Downward Aerial or Dair: Performs a dive kick attack. If the attack connects the Belmonts' springs into the air bringing their foes into the air with them. Up Throw: Throws the opponent up air then immediately follows up with an upwards attack. Down Throw: Slams their opponent onto the ground bouncing them into the air. Final Smash: I was originally going to leave their final smashes out.... but I felt it would have been criminal to do so. There is no evidence proving that Simon and Richter share the same final smash. But Simon's Final Smash is called Grand Cross. He starts the attack by imprisioning his victims inside a coffin, launches them in the air with his chain, and summons holy crosses upon them. Edit: I heard from places that this attack is pulled from Richter's game Rondo of Blood, so he may as well have the same Final Smash. Lastly King K Rool There isn't a ton to analyze with this guy, but this is what we have seen him do minus idle and taunt animations. Neutral Special aka Blunderbuss: K Rool puts on his Pirate hat from Kong Quest and uses his Blunderbuss to shoot a Cannon Ball at his opponents, then starts sucking in close by enemies or items with it and shoots what he gets at an upwards diagonal angle . The Cannonball is incredibly slow moving and swirls all weird like how it does in DKC2. If something collides with it being either a body or another projectile, the cannonball will go limp and drop on the ground. If K Rool sucks in his own cannonball and shoots it, it appears to gain more power. There is footage of him using the cannonball as a hazard and hits his opponents into it. The opponent went flying in the direction the cannonball was going in. Forward Special: Throws his Crown akin to how he does in the original Donkey Kong Country. He can act out of it when it hits max range. If K Rool isn't able to catch his crown, the crown will go to the place K Rool threw it from and remain there and become an item. K. Rool's Crown can then be picked up and used as a projectile by anyone in the facility. It seems to be able to be used as a projectile multiple times and will return to K. Rool's head after around 10 seconds of none active play. His head will glow green when it is spawning back onto his head. Down Special aka Stomach Attack:K Rool Stick out his belly and counters his opponent's incoming attack. Up Special or Recovery: Activates his helicopter from Double Trouble to ascend upwards. Jab: We have yet to see if his jab has a third jab, but the one time where we see him jab it resembles Bowser's jab which only has 2 jabs in it. If this is K Rool's full jab combo then it is a double claw swipe attack. Forward Tilt: K. Rool lifts his leg over his head and performs a powerful Sumo Stomp. If this attack lands on a grounded Opponent, it can bury them. Forward Smash: Throws out a giant punch with Boxing Glove in hand, similar to Donkey Kong Country 64. Dash Attack: Performs a flying belly slam. Has Armor allowing him to use it to punish mistakes made by cocky opponents. Neutral Aerial or Nair: K Rool sticks out his belly and performs a belly flop/body slam hitting anything around the lower end of his torso, similar to King Dedede's Nair. Forward Aerial or Fair: Performs a heavy dropkick forwards. Looks like a Backwards aerial, but it is not, there is a lot of footage of him performing this attack while facing forwards. Upwards Aerial or Up Air: K Rool jolt's his head straight up. It looks like he is looking behind himself, but he is just making a funny face. Downwards Aerial or Dair: K Rool performs a heavy stomp towards the ground. Backwards Aerial or Bair: K Rool turns around and throws a Haymaker punch behind himself. Back Throw: K Rool slams the opponent into the ground, grinds their body across he floor and throws them behind him. Up Throw: Does a jumping Argatina Back Breaker. The opponents fly upwards once the attack concludes. Similar to Charizard and Kirby's up throw, if there is a platform above K Rool, he will land there instead of where he initiated the attack. Final Smash: King K. Rool's Final Smash is called Blast-O-Matic. He starts by pin tackling his opponents launching them into Kong Island. The then boards his ship from Donkey Kong 64 and sits in his throne laughing maniacally while sending the orders to shoot a giant death laser from under his ship's chin to destroy Kong Island with his opponents on it. Passive: K Rool appears to have Bowser's Tough Guy perk. There is footage of him taking weak damage and just powering through it while glowing white. Aaaaaand that is all I can find on the newcomer's movesets. If you guys find anything else, hit me up.
Zargerth
Belly super armor hype! I hope K. Rool's recovery doesn't leave him completely vulnerable.
Godot
Updated for now.... I may hate it later and update it again.
Wolfox
Simon and Richter, thus far, give me a bit of a Brawl Ike vibe. a bit slow but really strong with good range (or in this case, amazing range). I feel like Simon will be the slower one while Richter is a bit weaker yet faster, to really make a difference between the two. as for King K. Rool... never really cared so I have little to say
Lorisaur
Simon and Richter are likely to be mid-high tier. All I say is just speculation of course. I have to recognise that they have very good tools like Nair and Fair/Bair if they can be angled USEFULLY. They also have spacing tools that work very well and can easily lead to a grab possibly, altough the speed is not really the best and maybe he will have worse matchups aganist faster characters as Bayonetta, Sheik, Zero Suit Samus or others able to play well from the distance such as Snake, Duck Hunt, Lucas, Dark Samus. Speaking of her, I think that she is far superior to regular Samus and possibly she will be an high tier. She has A ROLL. AFTER ALL THESE YEARS Finally Samus gets a roll. Also, uptilt dash attack and downthrow seem to work very well to make combos, don't forget that grab frame data has been greatly improved and uptilt is now an option out of a dash. Oh god, she is gonna be so good... King K Rool instead is really a low tier character but I swear, he will be even more fun to use than Dedede and Ganondorf I'm so HYPED. I only have one last desire for character in Ultimate... PALOSSAND. Just kidding, I think that Fawful will be fine
Godot
Dark samus looks way better then samus and it makes me sad. #make samus great again. the roll, the morph bomb, the dash attack, the faster missiles...

OH, YES! Think about samus, take away 80% of her weaknesses, change the colour/idle animation and you get DARK SAMUS. Way better than in corruption. I'm only disappointed by the final smash as I would have liked a cameo of her soul-devouring form but that's ok, really
Wolfox
If Dark Samus is a bit faster than regular Samus she might be decently high in the tier list
Godot
She landed up upper mid towards the end of 4 iirc.
FraRPetO
I'll play King K. Rool for the super armor. He looks sick.

I think he'll be just slightly better than dedede, that's the character design. They are also pretty similar now that I think about it. They have very similar dash attacks and both can inhale On 8/11/2018 at 10:26 PM, Wolfox said: If Dark Samus is a bit faster than regular Samus she might be decently high in the tier list I think she actually is, the only downsides imo might be a slightly lower aerial speed and a taller hurtbox. We don't know about screw attack and regular missiles, either
Godot
There is no real way to confirm whether Dank Samus is faster or not. Iirc the only differences spotted in the current list of new echos. Daisy's Up Air hits twice Daisy's Hitsparks are flowers instead of Peach's Ribbns and Hearts Daisy has a Blue Toad Richter's Up Special has different hitboxes, Simon uses a Dagger, and Richter uses a Sword. (I'm editing the post to include that) Richter's Holy Water is blue rather then Simon's Red. Chrom doesn't have fire. Chrom's up B is similar to Ike's Chrom has a unique Final Smash Dark Samus has different physics in her Dash Attack, Morph Bomb, and Missiles. Dark Samus has a normal dodge animation and doesn't go into her Morph Ball. I've also seen a lot of people complain about K Rool saying that his projectiles look terrible and that his recovery makes him objectively bad and doomed to low tier. Maelstrom
yeah, it does look like he sits there, waiting for his crown to come back, wide open to attack. And ofc, dhd, snake, and villager's third jumps have always made them particularly vulnerable so I don't see this being any less of a disadvantage for K Rool. Godot
Some new footage went up showing off K. Rool, Dark Samus, and Chrom. Added to K. Rool's moveset based around some of the new footage shown. We now know what his Jab, Back Throw, and Aerials are. As well as some interesting new info regarding special abilities and perks. Zargerth
That K. Rool's combo into the cannonball was dope. Edit: Would like to add that the tough guy perk on a character as big as K. Rool is very nice, considering that tough guy got buffed in Ultimate.
Teach
Gotta say, at first I thought it was just K. Rool being quicker than I anticipated--and he still might be--but man, it might just be that the game is so much quicker than I thought it'd be. Kind of weird to see. His grab range is kinda insane tho, if the match is anything to go off of when he up-threw Snake. 11 hours ago, Zargerth said: That K. Rool's combo into the cannonball was dope. That was sick. I wonder how viable those types of combos/setups will be for him.
Godot
The grab was a pivot grab. Pivot grabbing usually increases your range. Snake kinda looks like Sam Fisher in that shot.
