RobinS
I can't beat Solaris. This is my team: - Ampharos with Signal Beam, Discharge, Powerg Gem and Electric Terrain. It has the Ampharosite. - Swampert with EQ, Waterfall, Hammer Arm and Protect. - Blaziken with Bulk Up, Blaze Kick, Brave Bird and Sky Uppercut - Venusaur with Toxic, Giga drain, Leech Seed and Venoshock. - Metagross with Meteor Mash, Agility, Hammer Arm and Zen Headbutt. - Flygon with Fly, Dragon Claw, EQ and Crunch. If I start the combat with MegaAmpharos, I can kill the Staraptor. The problem is, I can't heal it next turn because the next pokemon is Excadrill and if I waste one turn healing, it sweeps my whole team after a Swords Dance. So, I proceed to kill the Excadrill with Swampert. Then comes Gyarados and since I couldn't heal MegaAmpharos before, it cannot survive a hit and then the Gyarados sweeps my whole team because of Moxie. So instead I try to lead the battle with another pokemon and save MegaAmpharos for the Gyarados. I've tried it with Metagross, but before I can kill it uses U-Turn and there comes the Gyarados and screws me over again. There was an attempt where somehow I managed to kill the Gyarados, and then with my Blaziken I killed with one hit both Scizor and Tyranitar. But then there was M-Garchomp, my Blaziken had to miss its attack (though I doubt it would have killed it) and it wrecked the rest of my team with EQ. Any tips? Other pokemon I have at an adequate level are an Eelektross and AlolanExeggutor (I only have it for when I need Trick Room).
Sayia
If your Bkaziken doesn't have Speed Boost.. Well you basically kinda screwed with him here. You can change his ability by using Ability Capsule. Gyarados might be the problem.. You should try more speedy electric mon, or maybe.. The fairy one What mons do you have in your box? Norm
What I would do is after Ampharos KOs Staraptor, keep it in and pivot to Flygon as EQ does nothing, if you have any X items, use them. I cannot stress that enough. X speed (especially if you haven’t EV trained) X attack, and X Defend are all great on Solaris. You may want to replace Flygon’ Fly with a Move that hits Gyarados hard like Stone Edge. After setup with the aforementioned X Items, Flygon should have favorable matchups against most of his team. Watch out for Scizor cause without a defense boost, he could take out your sweeper. His final Pokemon is very difficult to one shot, so you may need to make it a team effort to beat it. Elektross and Exeggutor may be good as most of Solaris’ mons are spam-happy with EQ, and your team seems to have a big weakness to it.[\spoiler]

Yeah it does have Speed Boost, I forgot to mention it. In my box I don't really have anything remarkable other than the ones I mentioned (Eelektross and Exeggutor), I mean I have a Gible but I'd have to train it and I don't think it's going to be of much use this battle. I'll check later if I have anything else good. 18 minutes ago, Norm said: Reveal hidden contents What I would do is after Ampharos KOs Staraptor, keep it in and pivot to Flygon as EQ does nothing, if you have any X items, use them. I'll try using them! I'll swap Venusaur with Exeggutor as well, since it wasn't really useful on my previous attempts.
Tapu Fufu
Gyarados was a big issue for me, too. The best kind of electric type to use is one with Levitate or an Air Balloon, in my experience. Rotom had an easier time with him because of it and then a Bullet Punch from Metagross finished it off (luckily he didn't bother trying to heal it when Metagross was out, I'm still not sure why). RobinS
Thanks for all your advice! I've finally done it, after 2 more attempts. I started with Exeggutor and set up Trick Room. Then I killed the Gyarados with Mega-Ampharos. Afterwards I used 3 X Defense, 1 x Speed and 2 X Attack on Flygon and swept through Excadrill, Staraptor (on my first attempt, I lost because after setting up my Flygon, Staraptor landed a crit and KO'ed it ignoring the defenses boosts, it really pissed me off xD) and Scizor. For some reason, the Mega-Garchomp survived a Dragon Claw, either my Flygon is really weak or Mega-Garchomp is a lot sturdier than I thought. Luckily, he didn't heal it and I could KO it with Swampert after barely surviving a hit. I swear I would've lost it if he healed the Garchomp xD. For the Tyranitar I KO'ed with Blaziken and that was it. It felt a bit cheap having to resort to all those X Items in order to win, but if I'm ever struggling with another fight I'll definitely use it again. 1 hour ago, Tapu Fufu said: Gyarados was a big issue for me, too. I think he doesn't heal for this battle. Thank god, it would've been a lot harder.
