Speaking of Tokyo Ghoul, I kinda want CCG to win the battle against the ghouls, since Juzo and Amon are my favorite characters. ... that's not weird, is it? not at all, i actually want ccg to win over most of the ghouls too, not including kaneki, ayato, the yasuhisa sisters or the ghouls from the cafe (: amon and akira are just so interesting that it makes me root for them, and juzo is a pretty well written psycho that you cant help but sympathize with also this most recent death parade episode lmao, that was just great. fuckin hilarious way to end it. Support Squad Felicity Posted February 14, 2015 Support Squad Share Posted February 14, 2015 Aight, for all those who have given up on the Shounen genre, who see naught but Fairy tail and Naruto, lemme tell you (If you haven't heard of it) about a little piece called Psyren This shounen, limited to a manga unfortunately, is awesome and doesn't stick to the formula of "Seventeen arcs, one episode of actual plot" and has many,many interesting characters with not a sue to be found, nor an insanely hungry and stubborn protagonist. There is over-powered fights, but very few, if any, "Friendship" power ups. Furthermore, the powers are scaled and more oft than not stick to their own rules in the pretty good world that has been created. Durarara was amusing today, with the whole bit with Shizuo and Shinra. I'm curious to see what happens next episode with the cliffhanger they gave us. LITERALLY. i try to use the word LITERALLY lightly in order not to sound like a retarded 13 yo tumblr user this. the EXACT same characters, in terms of personalities, role in the story, like, NO changes whatsoever. SAME story. SAME type of plot twists. VERY similar moe art style and backgrounds used. EVEN the soundtrack is somewhat similar. AND THEY PRACTICALLY COPIED THIS CHICK'S DESIGN FROM SOME BLACK ROCK SHOOTER CHARACTER, ANOTHER magical girl show that tries to be dramatic, coincidentally. (pause) yea sorry i just needed a good excuse to finally bitch about this anime somewhere. i havent watched the second season yet, but the first one was a straight-up copy, except the "witches" on selector (you'll understand this analogy after the major twist) now have personalities and arent some dead souls wandering around. and also this one chick, who was the most entertaining thing about the show, since she wasnt as fucking prediCTABLE. also has numerous annoying plot holes; it feels like whoever was writing this forgot anything that had been written past three episodes and just moved along not giving two shits about it. SO, if you feel like going on the exact same ride again, go for it. the only difference, besides the ones i mentioned, is probably the way its going to end, since after the twist, a lot more happens in selector. or you can go ahead, be smart and skip this. and watch the third madoka movie, which ends on a cliffhanger, cause madoka isnt madoka without plot twists, ok? Meruem Posted February 18, 2015 Share Posted February 18, 2015 awww i was hoping this would get adapted with no changes ): (parasyte ep 19) (nsfw) also the crowd more or less at the end looked oddly creepy, especially this one kid with the purple shirt. the way they moved made them all look like drunk vocaloid characters designed with miku miku dance wtf. still, pretty good episode as per usual. not much happened in terms of action, though, this episode's cliffhanger tells me next episode will be full of that. also, again, im glad murano wasnt as useless as per usual (referring to her small speech to the detective guy). The whole thing about Uragami, Hirama, and the current situation with that crowd all gave bad vibes. Next episode should be interesting. I haven't heard the rest of the English Dubs for the "Dubble" thing going on, but the Tokyo Ghoul Root Dub is pretty interesting to say the least. I'll leave a clip below. Meruem Posted February 21, 2015 Share Posted February 21, 2015 assassination classroom is getting a lot better than id expected; i like how i find it so easy to sympathize with each character's emotions and enjoy the show so much. the fact that they're going in depth about the e class issue while naturally giving each character the right amount of development is being done really well. and, of course, the comedy is another thing thats great too (dat naruto reference at the beginning of this episode). death parade is another thing that didnt disappoint one bit. im really glad they actually broke out of that episodic structure and have started explaining some more things regarding the judgement and the characters. though, im missing the games a bit, we havent had a good one where decim and onna judged, for a while now. next episode will probably cover this, at least the preview made it seem like so. perhaps something crucial could happen during the game, like onna remembering her memories. also, the girl and ginty... xD. praise her, seriously.
