Seth
Hey everyone! Before I begin with my little intro, let me start by saying anything I'm about to say could be completely wrong. I could be about to ramble on about something without knowing what I'm talking about. If that's the case, feel free to reply with a simple "You're an idiot". It'd be greatly appreciated. Anyways, I was checking my sub-box on YouTube and had come across a video posted by someone I've been subscribed to for quite some time now. The video had been a playthrough of "Pokemon Reborn". Honestly, I absolutely hate most Pokemon ROM hacks. With most of them, three issues normally occur: Being made with little effort, the story being horribly executed, or the developers deciding to throw in 50-some fakemons that appear as though they'd been drawn by a five-year-old with a missing thumb. Yet, upon closer inspection, (Like, REALLY close inspection, I was determined to mine out some kind of issue with the game) I realized this is a work of art. The story is engaging, (as far as a Pokémon game can go) the characters are all unique and fun, and it`s extremely well balanced. Kudos, developers. I`m excited to see more to come of this game. And yet, from my original intentions of visiting this website to look into the game, I discovered something else. "An original Pokémon league simulation on PO with seventeen gyms?! WHAT?!" I apologize if there's more PO servers that do this and I'm just out of the loop on these things, but I felt astonished (No reference intended). It grabbed my attention almost immediately. I instantly re-downloaded PO and arranged my team once more. "Ah, here we go, Seth. Another way you'll get to meet the individualistic characters of the internet." I'm rambling. Before I go on about me, I'd like to honestly give a round of applause to those who run this whole project, to the gym leaders, and to the developers. You've, at least in my eyes, created a new and refreshing style of a community in which I'm excited to partake in. Here's a little about myself. I'm Seth. I'm seventeen and I currently live in Canada. Whenever I have spare time, which is frequently, I write. I've been working on a "mini novel", about 200 pages or so, for the past two-three years now. Yes, I'm slow, shut up. If I'm not writing, I'm either drinking maple syrup or smoking weed with beavers. Oh yeah, and FMA is the best anime of all time. If you think another anime is better and/or haven't seen it, WATCH FMA. You won't be disappointed. Pokémon's always been a favorite of mine, and I've been playing it for the better part of eight years. I can also kind of be an idiot. You've all been warned. If you've been able to maintain your focus long enough to get to this sentence, thank you. I'll be looking forward to getting to know the community and such. Maelstrom
Hola, Canadian comrade. /russian accent Welcome to reborn. It's probably awesome because it's not a simple rom-hack, it was created from the ground up using rpg making code and tools lovingingly made elsewhere. And cuz Ame has done the whole thing herself.
