Linkstones and Mining Kit

I've gotten the linkstone from the staircase for 10,000, just wondering if there was another and whereabouts its at.

Also where can I find the mining kit?

I know there is another, but I don't know where it is. As for the mining kit, go in the staircase and when you get to the jumping part, stay left. A black belt will give it to you.

You don't need rock smash.

The linkstone is in a rock "outside" the Yureyu Building.

You NEED Rock Smash, the mining kit it's after Shelly (I think), what you said was indeed the tm rock smash. To get to the mining kit, go to the staircase cave and when the path diverges to the left, south and right, go to the right, you'll find rocks blocking your way, smash them and go forward (up), you'll find a hiker that tells you about those glowing stones, and afterwards gives you the Mining Kit.
