Nebulazure Posted October 21, 2018 Share Posted October 21, 2018 Ok, I reached the Onyx Trainer School, and need advice on what Pokemon team to use for Fern and Florina, as those battles will be challenging. Now, hear me out. Sunny day + Weather Ball helps clear a lot of Rini's team. If I remember correctly, you get Castform from a trade in the Obsidia ward by trading a Furret/Sentret. Taska Posted October 22, 2018 Share Posted October 22, 2018 Evolve Gulpin to Swalot. Swalot is broken with acid spray/amnesia/yawn/sludge. Trubbish is really good Numel is really good Evolve Hoppip to Skiploom. although it doesn't learn any good moves at that point in the game, it's a great tank and utility mon with the powders. Anyway, your Marshadow should do well against her Ace. It's probably one of the best fighting types. Also, if you have beaten Fern then go to the building next to the Casino in Onxy ward and one of Fern's lackeys will give you access to an area with some new encounters. If you are having a lot of trouble with the gym, there are some wild Tranquil you can capture. It makes the fight a lot easier. Well, at least until the end of the battle. As others mention regularly, if your Kricketune has Technician, this is a great choice. If you found Numel in rain, this is a nice choice; same goes for Slugma, in casino.
