"Mink! Hold on I'll be right there!" Baldur rushed over to the girl staff in hand. Once he was next to her he raised the blue orb end of his staff into the air before sending down a wave of healing magic onto her. "There, that should take care of it."

 

Baldur move to M6 and give nice heals to Lenore

Moving into a protective stance in front of Lenore and the others, Ferdiad stares down at the enemies, brandishing his lance. An archer, a mage, and two axemen. It's not at all an advantageous situation for him, but he'd sooner find himself in the chaos of battle than see one of his own allies surrounded.

 

"Come! You face a more suiting opponent."

Kane to M8 and attack Fighter B protecting Ferdy's flank like a bro.

"Not at all. I'm merely doing what I should for a friend." Ferdiad keeps his eyes on the advancing enemies in front of him, otherwise he might offer her a smile. "You are injured. After you've gotten your bearings back, I'd be grateful for your help. Ka— huerrggh, Phoenix! Watch my flank!"

"Mhm. You know what they say about good intentions, And don't worry, I can handle myself, Knight. I'm used to a little rough play."

"Ah, Mink, you know it's all business, but I won't deny that I hope to keep you safe... and I got your back, Knight!" Kane gives a little tiny smirk in approval of Ferdiad not giving away his name... at least not all of it. Either way, the only ones who might have heard the slight slip up won't be telling any tales soon.

After that harrowing bout, Ferdiad is surprised to find that, not a few moments after he had been trying to steady himself against the pain of his injuries, they rapidly fade away under the gentle light of Baldur's stave. He straightens up again, smiling down at the young man. 

 

"I owe you. Your healing magic is unprecedented. I have never felt anything like that before."

 

Indeed, what had before been nasty wounds have closed completely, with only the ache that comes from muscle and tissue protesting at having been knit back together so quickly. "Now, where were we?"

Just as he's about to raise his lance, a flash of orange barrels at the archer and overwhelms him quickly. Ferdiad blinks at the gloating display and lowers his weapon, moving instead to an open spot with the particular brand of silence that comes about when one is judging a friend for being a little too much, but is too kind to say anything.

From in front, the sound of hoofbeats and a glimpse of movement beyond the hills indicates a frontal assault by cavaliers. But a glance at the rear, near Kane and Baldur, tells him that the enemy has opted for a pincer movement. A flash of white feathers and the gleam of the dim sunlight off the curved edge of a bow. So this is their tactic, is it? It's not too late to throw a proverbial pebble into their gears.

 

"Towards the horsemen, everyone!" he calls, spurring Bradwr into a slight rear before cantering for the western treeline opening. "We'll group there and stop their advance. Let those approaching our flank come to us, and we'll strike back when they're within sight!"
