Arthur could do nothing as the knives dug themselves into his flesh, tearing through his coat and piercing straight through him to spin right back to Darcy's hands. The first strike was enough to bring him to his knees and drop his tome, but the second strike was too overpowering. He collapsed to the ground, bleeding and in desperate need of a tailor.

"Pathetic... You! Refresh me this instant!"

"Y-yes, sir! I-I'm sorry, sir!"

The dancer is sent into a frantic dance, seeing the corpses of the other three girls around her. Completely sent into a panic, she dances very sloppily and trips over herself a few times with her ribbons, only able to stop herself from completely falling to the ground through the need for self-preservation.

King Darcy moves again!

"Yes... That's what I need. Now..." Darcy gripped his knives once more, looking at Tabitha. "You see? That's what women like you are good for. Why let such talent go to waste? Just like that dancer I know you coveted so much... what was her name? Rose? She didn't know her place, and that's why she died! And you will have the pleasure of joining her and the rest of the women who don't know their place!"

Mim darted forward. She knew that this was dangerous, that she was leaving herself open, but she couldn't stop. She couldn't leave the poor girl scared and alone and stuck with this horrible man.

"Hey. Come on. He's not paying attention. You don't have to stay here anymore. You can come with us or just leave and live your own life, but don't stay here. Look around. Do you really think he cares about you or that he'll protect you once he's tired of you? He only cares about himself and getting what he wants. Give him the biggest fuck you that you can and leave him. For yourself. We'll keep you safe as long as you want us to. I promise."

The dancer braces herself, tears welling up in her eyes as Mim approached her. She looks as if she's prepared to die, but... she opens an eye at Mim's reassurance. She once again closes her eyes, bracing herself. She can already hear King Darcy beginning to scold her for even looking like she'd consider the proposal... only to hear a yell of pain as Justine digs her sword into his side.

"What-!? You dirty whore, how dare you turn your sword on me!?"

King Darcy drives his cursed knives into Justine, prompting excruciating pain as he twists the knife into her— however, she still stands. Arthur growls from the ground, seething with hatred at King Darcy hurting Justine and calling her that word. Despite the hostility, the rage... the air somehow turned warmer. Like there was a reassurance that all would be okay. That there would be... hope. And this was most prevalent with the dancer, who realized that she wasn't going to be yelled at. She looked up at Mim, for the first time, making eye contact and somehow crying more than she had cried when her life was threatened...

"I... I don't... I don't understand... h-how can you be so nice to me...? I'm unclean, d-dirty, I deserve to..."

She whimpered, looking as if her legs were about to give out any second once she took Mim's hand with both of her own... Though it looked like a clumsy stumble, it was entirely intentional as the Dancer fell onto Mim and crumpled onto her legs in a tight hug.

"But, I... I don't wanna die... I-I don't wanna be a slave anymore either, I-I just wanna be a normal girl... I just wanna be a normal girl..."

The dancer looked back up at Mim, all fear having left her eyes.

"...Please... Please help me..."

From afar, it was obvious through Kane's mask that he was very glad that Mim joined Virtuous. Even though Arthur was flat out on the ground, it was clear that he was thankful as well.

Lizaveta let out a little laugh as she watched Darcy rave and rant and try to fight back. Behind her mask, though it couldn't be seen, her grin took on a little bit of a sadistic quality.

"You still don't get it, do you, King Darcy? You're done. You're dead. Your disgusting reign is finally going to come to an end here. Your reinforcements can't make it in --good job, Ficus, and Knight, Phoenix, Mink!--, you yourself are being struck down piece by piece, and there are no signs of anything on the horizon to change that. Don't you understand? Not only is your reign going to come to an end here, you are going to come to an end here, and it will be a fitting punishment for such a vile being as yourself. Finally, the people of Ulux can have your oppressive weight lifted off of their shoulders!"
