Lspaceship
Pokemon Rejuvenation: Fallen Glory A Write-A-Long playthrough of Pokemon Rejuvenation By Lspaceship Chapter 0.5: Dreamed Beginnings "Can you tell me the story about the Zorua and the Pangoro again, Mommy?" A young girl with blond hair was snug in her bed, with her mother chuckling above her. The story had been told to her for years, and she essentially knew it by heart, but the joy it gave her was unmatched. After a moment, the mother replied with a laugh. "All right, I will." She launched into a storyteller's tone of voice, weaving a tale that they both knew well. "There once was a lonely Zorua living deep in the darkest forests. He was a mischievous one. Transforming into other Pokemon and beings that lived around. He would often use this ability to trick others into handing over food or using their homes to sleep in. Because of this, he didn't have many friends. I'm sure you can piece together why? But one day, this changed when Zorua met a powerful Pokemon called "Pangoro." They were fighting over a rare and coveted golden apple. Many hours later their fight came to an end and no victor was revealed. They knew they were evenly matched. One could not take out the other. With both staring at each other intensely, they knew that they were destined for friendship." Taking a breath, the mother continued with her story. "The two became quick companions. They were two peas in a pod if you will. They travelled the world together. Overcame hardships. Went on thrilling adventures... Life was good for the two of them... until one day Zorua went too far. Zorua planned a devious prank on Pangoro. 'I shall transform into Pangoro's fallen mother. That would surely give him a spook!' Zorua said. 'It'll be my best prank yet!' So while Pangoro left to find food, Zorua put his malicious plan into action. When Pangoro returned home he was greeted with the sight of his dead mother. Paralyzed with a mixture of extreme emotions, Pangoro dropped his collection of food on the ground. in that collection of food was-" The girl interrupted her mother with an excited declaration. "A golden apple!" The mother laughed and continued. "Yes, that's right. A golden apple. When Zorua saw this, he transformed back into his normal state, looked down at the food and said 'Hey, where did you find this golden apple? It looks fresh and incredibly delicious!" Zorua raised his head to see a face filled with fury, sadness, but most importantly, disappointment. Zorua quickly realized that he hurt Pangoro very deeply and tried to apologize. But Pangoro wouldn't hear any of it and immediately ran into the forest. Shaken and worried, Zorua ran after him, but Pangoro was nowhere to be found. Zorua realized that he repelled his only friend with his selfishness. And Zorua became lonely once more." Finishing her story, the mother leaned over to plant a kiss on the girl's forehead. "Sleep tight. Maria." Some time later A young man awoke from his bed on a cruise ship in a cold sweat. He was just in a nightmare....but it was more vivid than any that he had ever seen before. Heading out of his cabin and onto the balcony that was standard with his room. The wind brushed through his black hair, as he reflected on what had happened next. The Dream The girl woke from her sleep, yawning. "Morning already?" She mumbled to herself. "Better get up...." Getting to her feet and stretching, she looked around her room, noting the flowers that seemed to be everywhere. A book laid on the table, 'The Tale of the Lonely Zorua.' She smiled at the sight, before heading down the stairs. Making her way into the grand living area, she yelled out to the house. "Mommy, I'm up! I'm up!" Noticing her from the kitchen, her mother smiled and responded. "Ah, good morning Maria! Did you sleep well? I'm preparing breakfast right now. Do you mind fetching your father? He's working in his study. Don't take too long! I don't want his food to get cold." With a cheerful tone, Maria exclaimed: "You can count on me, Mommy!" She ran off to see her father, past the living room and the great big painting of her and her family. Heading into her father's study, ignoring the other room, she ran in and to her father. "Ah, Marian- Maria. How are you doing?" Her father said with a smile on his face. Maria, not catching the stutter, told him about breakfast waiting. He glanced to his work, then back to her. "I do love your mother's cooking. All right, I'll be out in a few moments. Go tell your mother that, you hear?" Maria happily headed back to the kitchen, so she could report back that he'd be right out. After hearing this, her mother instructed her to head to her room and freshen up. Everything seemed fine. However, as she walked back into her room, a blue glow came over the house and a giant crash came from downstares. Worrying for her mother, she rushed down to check on her parents. When she got downstairs, she saw a woman in red and black armor. "Who.... who are you?" Maria stammered her fear not quite having overpowered her curiosity. "How many times?" The armored figure demanded. "Wh-what...?" "How many times are you going to make this little girl suffer? How many times are you willing to put her through this chaos?!" "I..I'm... I don't know what you're talking about..." Maria stammered, unsure about what exactly is going on. "I'm not talking to you." The armored figure snapped. "O-oh... well, do... you know where my parents are?" The armored figure fell silent, before responding. "They're downstairs." "Oh...! Okay, well... I'm going to go to them now." She didn't seem hostile, so Maria started to head down to her family before the armored woman spoke up again. "Maria." "Yes...?" "No matter what happens. Don't you dare lose hope. Don't lose who you are and don't you dare forget what's about to happen. You understand?" "Y-Yes, I understand!" "Good. Go to them now. They're waiting." "O-okay!" With that, she ran towards the door to the basement, to her family. Throwing open the doors to the second room, she was horrified to see her mother, bloody on what looked like an altar. "Mommy!!" She runs towards the altar, trying to shake to her back to the land of the awakened. Her father stood staring at the wall, silent to the endeavour that was unfolding behind him. "What are you doing to mommy?! Mommy, wake up! Mommy, wake up! Mommy, wake up! Daddy, get out of the way! Get out! Why won't you say anything to me?! Why?!" Tears were streaming down her face, as she screamed at her impassive father, who just stood near the wall. A strange voice was heard from behind Maria, calling to her. "Marianette, your father wishes to see you now." The young girl turned her body to try and see what was going on but saw nobody. "What... are you talking about?" "Marianette, your father wishes to see you now." "What are you doing?!" "Marianette." The dream faded to white, as the voice continued to call for Marianette. But before long, Maria found herself in front of a mirror, with two plush pokemon next to her. A Zorua on her right, and a Pangoro on her left. Looking around, she was in a temple. But why? And where? "What?!" A maid came up and tapped her on the shoulder. "Now, for the fifth time, Marianette... Your father is waiting for you in the East Wing. You're making him wait longer than he has time for. So get to it." "Wh-What? What am I doing here again?" "Marianette, I won't say it again. Just hurry along then." Marianette was confused, shaking her head. "M-My name's not Marianette... It's Maria..." The maid left, and Marianette found herself alone and confused with one direction to go: The east wing. So, she went, passing many identical maids before finding herself in an amphitheatre, with a strange symbol on a platform suspended over water. Maids filled the room, surrounding an altar with a maid on top of it. The young girl saw a figure that resembled her father at the end of the platform and decided to speak. "Where's my mom?!" "Mommy is sleeping with our lord now, Marianette." The figure spoke. "Stop calling me Marianette! It's Maria!" "What is with this disrespect? Your name is no longer Maria. Now, as I was initially planning to do-" The maid on the altar spoke up, interrupting him. "No need for explanation, sir. Demonstration may be the key to this girl's mind." "Hmph, very well." The figure spoke, raising up a hand as the ground started to shake. "Arceus! Capremdum Garuganisu oru'ma'! A'd seberus L'orufogeo!" At those words, the maid disappeared from the altar, leaving no trace. Marianette was stunned into silence. The figure took that opportunity to continue speaking. "She's gone now, Marianette. She is with the lord now. She won't need to suffer the calamity that soon befalls this earth. Marianette, it's your turn now." "No, you can't make me do it..." Marianette's voice trembled as if she didn't believe her own words. The figure sighed. "Maids, bring Marianette to the altar." He commanded, and two maids grabbed the girl, tying her up and dragging her to the altar. "Let go of me! Let go of me!" Marianette screamed, all through this. Resisting as much as she could, but ineffectively. "You said the same to my mommy! She's gone because of you!" She yelled to the man, not having accepted what was going to happen to her. "Enough, Marianette. Go with dignity." "I don't want this! Just let me go!" Ignoring her, the figure raised a hand again. "Arceus! Capremdum Garuganisu oru'ma'! A'd seberus L'orufogeo!" As this was happening, Marianette continued to yell and struggle at her bonds. "I hate you, I hate you! Someone, please don't let him do this to me! Someone, please help me! Anyone! Mommy! ...Please...!" Some time later Shrugging off the dream, he wandered back into his bed from the balcony. Tomorrow would begin his Pokemon journey, and that's something that he would need all his energy for. Tomorrow, he'd reach the Avium Region, and They had better be prepared for the next big trainer in the region, Tayn Karrels. Author's notes So, I've decided to do the thing! Yes, the beginning isn't quite our main character, but these things take time, and I'm sure as we go on it'll get better and better. Well, we haven't started the Locke yet technically, but I believe I'm off to a good start transcribing the adventures of Tayn. For those interested, here's his Trainer Card Merry Christmas, and I'll see you all in the next chapter, where I do the boat. That'll be fun, right? Lspaceship
Pokemon Rejuvenation: Fallen Glory A Write-A-Long playthrough of Pokemon Rejuvenation By Lspaceship Chapter 0.75: Tragedy of the Oceana pt1 The girl at the registered sighed and passed along the trainer card to Tayn. "It's not registered, so you'll have to visit Gearen Immigration before you can actually get a starter from the professor. Other than that, you're all set. Enjoy the rest of the trip, and good luck on your journey." Her disinterested voice didn't bother Tayn, as he took it with a smile. Ignoring the other people in the room, he stepped out to the room onto the corridor. As he did, a woman in a white dress with purple hair came down the stairs, smiling warmly at him. "Ah, there you are, Tayn! Did everything go smoothly? Since you're done with registration, do you mind taking a quick stroll with me?" Tayn nodded, flashing his card as he walked towards his mother. They had come on this cruise together, deciding to take it from their home region of Unova to Aveum. Walking back up the stairs to see a doorway between two flights of stairs. "You see those doors?" Tayn's mom asked as they came to a stop before the very doors. "How could I not?" The young boy responded, rolling his eyes a little bit. With a chuckle, the woman shook her head. "When the ship is close to docking at Gearen City, a feast will be held behind them. We still have some time before we get to that point. Why don't you visit Augustus? He's actually the Captain of this ship." Tayn mock-gasped. "How would I have ever figured that out, especially with that picture of the captain of the ship having Mr Augustus's face and everything!" His mother responded with a playful slap. "Don't you sass me! He used to be a very powerful trainer back in his day, but he's retired now. I'm sure you can find out some neat details about the Aevium Region by talking to him." "Go to meet with your old friend, get some tips on how to be a better trainer for it. All right, mom, I got it." His dear mother's face softened. "I know it's been difficult ever since we left, but we can't become depressed. So you have fun, okay? Go and meet new people! I have some stuff I need to take care of. I'll meet you down here once I'm finished." "All right, mom. Love you." His mother headed towards the stairs but stopped at the top of them. "I'll see you soon, okay? Don't take too long!" After those words, she walked down the stairs, leaving Tayn alone to do whatever he wanted. Authors Note Spoiler So, I will be doing authors notes as things in the story come up that the player knows about but the character shouldn't be able to, such as the Blacksteeple Neved/Emma talks and the Crescent/Mother (Nancy) talk on the Oceana. So, in those times, I'll put my own thoughts in notes such as these. So... The Crescent/Nancy talk. It brings up a lot of stuff, such as introducing Crescent as a benevolent character towards the player. It also brings up that Nancy can't feel emotions, and that is a can of worms I'm not sure if I want to go into concerning the maids. Personally, if you miss it, it's no big deal as all the information here is referenced later. So no strong feelings either way. Second optional scene thoughts time! The Xen bombers one. Honestly, same as I feel about the Crescent/Nancy talk. It basically confirms what we all knew about the ship: It's gonna have a bad time. Though it does give us the name Nastasia, which is a really fitting one. Also, for stuff like talking to random NPCs, and battles. If I did that, then we would be here all day, so I'm going to go forward transcribing only plot-critical elements and battles, such as Catching a 'mon, the death of a 'mon, sidequests, etc. Any others are going to be done, but not written for the sake of my sanity. 2 As Tayn headed up to the second story of the ship, a beautiful piano melody drifted through the air. Looking down at the grand piano near the balcony overlooking the deck, Tayn smiled. The Captain could wait. He walked down the stairs towards the lady whose fingers danced over the ivory keys, nodding at the Jigglypuff that sat on the piano. As the song came to end, he clapped to show his appreciation. "As beautiful as ever." The piano lady stood up and did a little bow. "You know, playing the piano is something I'll never get tired of. I'll never get tired of the wonderful audience that takes their time to listen to my music either! Maybe next time you can hear me on the mainland. I hear Grand Dream City is always in need of musicians." Tayn nodded. "Wherever you end up, I wish you well. I've got to talk to the captain now, but I'll see you at the banquet." With that, he turned and walked back up the stairs, ascending to the top of the boat, where the captain's office was. Knocking on the door, he heard a voice say "Come in." An old man looked up from his desk to see Tayn walk in. "Ah, you must be Tayn, correct? My name is Augustus. Augustus Briney. I am the Captain of the S.S. Oceana. How are you enjoying your voyage to the Aevium Region?" "It's been smooth so far," Tayn replied, taking a seat on the couch to the right. "There's a lot to do in Aevium, so I don't think you'll ever get bored. I've heard from your mother that you've registered as an official Pokemon Trainer?" "That's correct. I'm aiming to take on the Gym Challenge, or at least get a stable position in it." "You do know how it differs from other regions, correct?" "Yes, there are 18 gyms. One for each type. Also, an Elite 8 instead of an Elite 4. There's also the truancy, which is curiously linked to the number of badges you have. That shouldn't be a problem, as long as it's fair." Augustus let out a booming laugh. "So you've done your research, eh? yes, that about covers the lesson I had for you. How about we head on downstairs and start this banquet? I'm sure all the guests on the ship are just dying of anticipation to see what we have in store." Opening up the door, the captain and young trainer headed downstairs. The doorways were oddly silent, as everyone was waiting in the banquet room. As they approached the room, Tayn heard his mother call out from behind him. "So eager to eat that you're willing to leave your poor mother behind?" He turned to see her come up from their room and laughed. "No, I was going to wait here for you. Captain's almost ready to start, so we should probably get going." "Don't worry, I'm only teasing you! Let's get seated, shall we?" WIth his mother, Tayn pushed into the ballroom. It was a relatively small room, with a podium at the back, and tables all around it. The piano lady was playing a small tune to help provide ambience, and people were waiting for it to officially start. "Our table is just ahead. The banquet won't start for a few more moments. Feel free to wander about until you're ready. I'll be waiting for you, Tayn." "No need. It'll be good to eat, so let's get ready." Tayn sat down at the table, and directed his attention to the podium, waiting for it to start. Augustus came down from his place from the podium and started to give a speech. "Greetings everyone! It is my pleasure to host this lovely banquet on this magnificent day! This marks the end of our week long journey together. I hope that this trip will stay with you in your memory forever. And perhaps one day we shall see each other again! And with that all said and done, I'd like the banquet to commence!" The room erupted into applause, either from the speech or for the fact that the food would finally come out. While this was happening, three people slipped into the room unnoticed. When the cheers faded, their leader, a girl in a black and red uniform, cleared her throat. "Sorry, but I'm going to have to postpone this little party." "Who are you three? What is the meaning of this?" Augustus asked, signalling that this was not, in fact, a regular part of the evening's festivities. "We're going to need all of you to stay put and listen very carefully." The girl began, ignoring Augustus. "We have explosives on board this ship. Any act of rebellion will result in a calamity none of you can afford. So let's just get through this nice and easy, okay?" "Y-You're hijacking the ship?" Augustus asked, horrified. "Hijacking? No, no, that's too barbaric. We're here to pick up someone." She replied, looking pointedly at Tayn. Realization flashed upon Tayn's mother's face, as she yelled: "G-Get Tayn out of here now!" "Don't make any funny movements!" The uniformed girl snapped. "No one's leaving this room, you hear?" Across the aisle, a woman in a white dress hmph'd. "I said don't move!" "Get him out of here right this instant!" Mom insisted as the woman instructed their pokemon, a shiny Gothitelle. "You know what to do." At that, the Gothitelle raised her hands, and Tayn vanished from sight, from a teleport. The uniformed lady sighed and then spoke up. "You're all going to regret this." And then she pushed a button, and the ballroom exploded. The last thing Tayn saw was his mother, a smile strangely on her face. Authors Notes An update the day after the first post? Meh, I'm just waiting till the boat section is over. Honestly, after I figured out I could skip it, I did that for almost all my playthroughs. You don't get anything, so it's just a pain to get through. And writing it? Even harder, as you have to pause after each line to copy dialogue. I'm gonna go finish up all the sidequests on my main save. You all have a good after-Christmas coma day
Lspaceship
Pokemon Rejuvenation: Fallen Glory A Write-A-Long playthrough of Pokemon Rejuvenation By Lspaceship Chapter 1: Tragedy of the Oceana pt2 Tayn landed on his feet after the world phased back into view. He seemed to be in the captain's quarters, but he'd never seen it like this before. There were cracks all over the area, and the lights were off. As he looked around frantically, trying to find some other person who knew what was going on, weird orange tentacles rose up from the ground. They seemed like eyestalks, and they twisted around, almost as if they were looking for something. Tayn decided to stay out of their sight, as the person they were looking for could be him. The doorway to the outside corridor seemed safe, so when the eyes were turned away, he bolted out the room. The doors were knocked off, and as he ran into the corridor, the whole boat started to rock, as if it was sinking. He bounded down the stairs at this, trying to just get out. Two tentacles blocked the stairs to the main deck, but the piano lady waved him over. "Hey, aren't you that kid that disappeared out of thin air? What happened to you?" She asked, ducking behind the piano to hide from the stalks. "I was teleported. Don't know why, but it was probably done by that Gothitelle." Tayn whispered, not knowing if the eyestalks could hear. "That's not important at the moment. We need to get off this ship. Right after you were teleported, some guy detonated an explosive on the hull of the S.S. Oceana. Water's coming in at an alarming rate. If we don't find a way out soon..." "We'll drown. No need to sugarcoat it." "Well, yes. That coupled with these weird tentacle things... They seem harmless, but they seem to be watching our every move. It's almost as if they're trying to observe us, or look for something." "If I may pose a crazy theory," Tayn started. "they may be looking for me. My mom's reaction and the fact that I was teleported makes that a logical decision. I'll try to get out of here without them spotting me, and maybe that will help you guys get out." She nodded. "I'll stay here and see if anyone else needs help. Good luck." Tayn hurried around the bag, and to the stairwell down. If he was desperate, he could have thrown himself over the balcony, but he wasn't. He was greeted by the sight of the other passengers just mulling around, not wanting to help patch up the holes that water poured out of. Scoffing that they don't even care enough about their lives to even try and fight, he elected to ignore the idiots and poke his head into the ballroom to check if anyone was there. The only one that he could find was the captain. "Tayn! I'm glad to see that you're doing okay. It seems like... this perfect day has taken quite the turn, hasn't it? Who would do such a thing?" "Desperate people. Where's my mother?" He demanded, not willing to put up with the seemingly carefree attitude of the captain. "I don't know. When the bomb exploded, it knocked me out cold. When I came around, everyone in the room was gone." "So, you came to after a bomb exploded, there was nobody around, and you decided to just say 'Hey, guess I'll stay here!' Water is coming in as we speak, and we're all going to drown if you can't do anything. Don't you have some pokemon that can help?" Tayn almost yelled. The reality of the situation that he found himself in seemed to finally hit the captain, who just sat on the floor. "I... I think I'm going to stay here in my own misery for a bit. Look for the other passengers, they may have seen your mother." Seeing that he couldn't get any more information from the poor captain, Tayn stormed out of the ballroom, and down towards the people just sitting there. As he came down to the only people trying to actually stop the flow of water, he heard them whispering to each other. "There's nothing we can do... We're not strong enough to stop the water from entering. Our Pokemon can't do it as well. We should just try to find some life rafts and escape." The first person mumbled. "Yeah, we shou- Hey, wait..." The second one walked towards the hole. "Do you see that dark figure in the water?" The first man stepped up as well. "Yeah... it's very faint, but I think I see it as well! Maybe it's a res-" Before the man could finish his sentence, they were both dragged out into the water by tentacles. Tayn backpedalled immediately, trying to put as much distance between him and the figure. The way up wasn't any safer, so he went back up to the other area. There was a painter who blocked the way down, but as he pushed Tayn back, citing that it was safer up here, a strange pokemon grabbed him and dragged him towards where Tayn just came from. Seeing as the way wasn't blocked anymore, Tayn bounded down the stairs. As he rounded the way to the cargo hold, water started to gush in. Tayn, seeing an opening in the hold with light spilling from it, ducked inside. He heard a familiar voice and ran forwards, overjoyed. "It's no use, the water can't be controlled." His mother said, her Sylveon beside her. "There's just way too much damage." "Mom!" "Tayn, you're all right!" They rushed to meet, and in a big hug. "What are you doing here? I thought you were somewhere safe... Well, all that matters is that we're together again, right?" She broke the hug and put a hand on Tayn's shoulder. "The ship won't last very long, Tayn. We're going to have to abandon it. I have a pokemon we can use to surf to shore, but as for the other people..." Before they could leave, an unknown voice was heard. "What makes you think that you're safe from our onslaught?" An 'N' symbol carved itself into the floor, and a woman with pink hair appeared on it. "We came here for one purpose, and one purpose only. And we're not leaving until we've fulfilled that purpose." "Are you the one who's behind this attack?" demanded Tayn's mother, as her Sylveon growled at the woman. "Perhaps that is a possibility, but that's not something I'm comfortable sharing. The only thing that truly matters right now is your apprehension." "M-My apprehension?" The rage in her face faded to confusion. "That's correct. Did you think Tayn was our target? Maybe that's what they made you think, but that couldn't be further from the truth." "If all you wanted is me, then why go so far as to destroy the S.S. Oceana?! You've endangered all of these innocent people who have no idea what's going on!" The woman scoffed. "Witnesses can be such a bother. It's better if we just wipe them all out." "And if someone happened to get out? They would spread awareness." "Assuming anyone got out- Which they won't." The woman bragged. "Besides, it wouldn't be too bad considering most people think we're quite passive anyway. It's the time people woke up from this dream of safety that they have going on." The cargo hold went silent for a moment before Tayn's mom spoke up. "Heh, it's going down like this, huh? Sylveon, return." She put the Fairy-type pokemon back in its Pokeball, before turning and shoving all her pokeballs into Tayn's hands. "Take all of my Pokemon. They can help you escape. I'll be fine as long as I know you're safe and sound. That's all that matters to me." Tayn nodded, stunned at the development. The woman chuckled and shook her head. "Sorry, can't do it. That's not going to happen." As she said that, three of the pokemon that kidnapped the artist appeared between Tayn and his mother. "Don't think you're safe. I'm going to deal with you next, Tayn." A crash ran out, and everyone looked up. "What was that?" "Look out below!" The voice of the piano lady rang out as the wreck of a ruined piano slammed into the pokemon. "Wh-What?!" The confusion allowed for Tayn to bolt, and to make his way out to the deck. A dark-skinned man was waiting by the pool, however. "And where do you think you're going?" Before Tayn could respond, the woman from before came through. "Did you think that you were done with me? Be a good little child and come with me. There's no point in fighting back. That will just make things worse for you in the long run." Before any person could act, a Talonflame swooped down and grabbed Tayn in its talons. The confused young man let out a scream, as he was taken from the ship by the grasping talons. He passed out as the wind whipped at his face, and was carried eastward. Sometime later, he came to by the rain hitting his face. The Talonflame had carried him to a dock of some sort. The duo landed on a dock, by some sort of over-industrialized room. Tayn, still in shock, kept silent as a woman's voice rang out from the water. "Talonflame, did you find anything?" A yacht came into the dock beside the boy and pokemon, and a red-haired woman came out. "Oh dear... Are you all right? You were on the S.S. Oceana, weren't you?" Tayn nodded mutely and sat down before spilling all that happened to the woman. Before the end, he had become a muted almost-shell of a trainer, the trauma getting to him. Not noticing, the woman turned to the side. "I see... so that's what happened. I saw most of what happened go down. I tried my best to get there as fast as I could... Fortunately, my trusty Talonflame is fast. We got there just in time to rescue you. Oh, I haven't even introduced myself! My name is Tesla. Unfortunately, that ship has sunk to the bottom of the ocean. I wouldn't worry too much, though. I'm sure your mother will be fine in the long run. Team Xen isn't exactly the most competent group out there." "Competent enough to sink the ship...." Tayn muttered. "Oh? Is this the first time you've heard of Team Xen? They're a criminal organization that no one really knows much about." Tesla explained. "They're usually all bark and no bite, so this is pretty shocking to me. I wonder if whatever they're planning has finally gone into action? Anyway, you're all alone now... aren't you? If you don't mind me asking, what do you plan to do now?" Tayn looked up, taking his trainer card out of his bag. "I came here to become a trainer....I'll go to Gearen Laboratory." Tesla smiled. "That's a wonderful idea. You may be able to get your own Pokemon from there. You'll need one if you're going to be travelling around Aevium. I think I'm going to head to the wreck site to see if I can find any more survivors." She got on the back of her Talonflame's back, and she prepared to leave. "I'm a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Things will work out eventually if you're patient. Before I leave you... What's your name?" The young man looked up and got to his feet. "Tayn. My name is Tayn." "All right, Tayn. We'll see each other soon! Clear the way, please!" Tayn stepped to the side and braced himself for the shockwave that a Talonflame at max speeds would bring. Tesla blew past and left the shell-shocked young man just standing there in the rain. Authors Notes This may be counter-productive to writing, but I almost wish that I DIDN'T have an urge to play. Writing this takes a ton of time, as a few hours have basically just gotten me to this point. As we get into parts that aren't as dialogue-heavy, it'll get better, I suppose. Anyway, don't worry if you think that Tayn's going to be an empty shell, cuz his personality will be back when we get to Amethyst Cave by the latest. For now, he's just in shell-shock. So, rules for the Locke, as I realized I didn't ever actually go over it. 1: When a pokemon faints (with some exceptions) they die. 2: I must only catch the first pokemon I encounter in a new load of an area. What I mean: If I come into a new part of a route or cave, and the game has to load a new area, then I'm allowing myself to catch a new pokemon. There are a few examples, as following rules will explain 3: If I deem a battle too hard, or impossible (Madame X comes to mind) then there will be no deaths. Basically: If there's a scripted loss, I'm not going to count deaths. I think Madame X is the only one in the game currently, however. 4: Shiny Pokemon encountered can be caught, and if they are, can either be used or traded for reviving a pokemon. If revive is chosen, then the shiny pokemon CANNOT be used. Also, revived pokemon CANNOT be revived more than once. There aren't third chances. We don't do that here. 5: Non-story battles will be done, but not recorded unless a 'mon dies. This is to save me time. If a pokemon evolves, then I'm gonna just gloss over it. Give me your thoughts on the rules, and enjoy playing and reading!
