Mercia made sure to talk a little with everyone, but she tried to tuck in a little early as to prepare for the mission at hand.

 

When she awakened, she was up and out as soon as possible, trying to be punctual and showing up as soon as she could. Seeing the group of soldiers, Mercia clutched her tome, hoping they wouldn't have to fight... but unfortunately as Rosanne said, there was a language barrier. Mercia gave a little sigh.

 

"Let's make short work of them, hopefully they'll learn that they made a grave mistake in trying to stop us."

 

Mercia moves to H10 and blasts the Fighter.

Rosanne moves to L9 and attacks the Myrmidon.

Blodeuyn didn't get much sleep the night before the mission between talking with the others and...other reasons but she was use to that so it didn't bother her that much.

 

It took a bit to convince her that she didn't need bring a bag full of books along for the mission but other then that she spent most of the travel time being rather quite or her nose in book. She tisked her tongue when i became apparent that they would have to fight. She really didn't like to fight but she knew she needed to.

 

"You know Mercia, we are the ones trying to stop them not the other way around."  Blodeuyn said as she followed the half-dragon girl following pulling a time the others wouldn't of seen from under her cloak and launching a orb of slithering dark energy at the fighter.

Gwyn took flight on Gaheris, the scintillating green wyvern striking an unusual profile against the morning skies. The creature sported streamlined purple markings along its body not dissimilar to the ones his rider possessed, and they almost seemed to make his scales ripple as translucent wings carried him skyward. 

"Watch out, bad guys! I'm the strongest around, so you'd better start running away!" Gaheris, playing along for once, let loose a startlingly loud bellow. Simultaneously with this, Gwyn hurled a hatchet towards one of the enemy soldiers; the man flinched at the noise, and then nearly toppled over as the axe slammed into him while he was distracted. "Take that, evildoer!" Gwyn laughed as Gaheris pulled into the air, wings almost invisible against the sky.

Candide strode forward, and he didn't draw a weapon or blast with magic -- he had neither sword nor tome, after all. Instead he approached Mercia, from the right, and began to sing. He was not singing in the language of Tameloc, so it was quite likely that she could not understand what he was actually saying, but his voice was rich and deep. His baritone tone likely reached the ears of many, but the confident tones of his words were meant primarily for the half-dragon girl. Even if he could not likely be understood, there was a spirit behind his singing, fortitude and vigor and the enthusiasm of a fresh start conveyed through clear tones that slid smoothly between words, the nature of the man's native language allowing for his deep voice to keep its tones with only brief, metered interruptions, syllables sliding together into the careful structure of not a song, but a poem.
