Help with Florinia

I swear, I've battled Florinia so many times, but have lost to her Ferroseed always.

My teams LVL 23 Noibat, Ivysaur, Minccino.

you can catch a makuhita (it evolves to hariyama at 24) in the obsidia slums

Or a numel in an event on peridot ward

They help a lot

The idea with ferro is to take it down while the sand tomb damage from its seed helps you, or just using a items ban mod so florinia doesn't spam heal him

Although your current team will be much better on later in the game, they lack the firepower to deal with Florinia's Pokemon. Koffing and Klink are ideal Pokemon whose typings will help sponge many moves from Florinia's Pokemon; you can catch Koffing in Obsidia Ward's Alley and Klink can be caught in Obsidia Ward's Underground Railnet.

 

If you want a shortcut to beat Florinia, capturing a Kricketot and evolving it into a Kricketune which will learn Fury Cutter, will rip apart Florinia's team. Kricketot can be caught in Lower Peridot Ward at an Apartment building near an alleyway.

But I'll have to train it up to the 20s. Isn't it received at lvl 5?

Unfortunately, yes, but only if you want to use this shortcut to defeat Florinia ASAP. Of course, Koffings and Klinks can be caught at around Levels 15-18 if you don't want to grind unnecessarily for one Gym battle. There is also the option of obtaining Slugma for 800 coins in Onyx Ward.

Swoobat works wonders with a bit of luck - Charge Beam on something that can't hurt it much to get +2 boosts 70% of the time and then Air Cutter to rip her team to shreds (at +6 it does around 75% to Cradily I believe, everything else is OHKO). (You can also switch train the Swoobat to level 29 where you get Calm Mind for guaranteed +2 to SpAtk and SpDef, then de-level it so it obeys you for the fight). You can catch a level 15 Woobat in the Obsidia entrance to the Railnet. Klink can also be found there and will take care of Cradily well. Toxic Spikes from a Trubbish will help a lot with everything but Ferroseed.

Right off-hand, you don't have enough Pokemon. The others have given great suggestions, but in Reborn you want to try and have a full team throughout if possible. Every gym leader is going to have six Pokemon, and Florinia is one of the more straightforward leaders.

 

If I was to add to any of the suggestions given though, you can buy a Nidoran IIRC at the Game Corner if you're willing to play enough Voltorb Flip, Its a good Pokemon who's Double Kick can deal solid damage, and it will also be excellent against the next leader since its a Poison type. Alternatively, grabbing a Trubbish with Toxic Spikes and setting those up early would hurt her team a lot since it would be consistent damage she can't deal with.

 

Beyond that, Kricketune would be a solid choice as noted, though you are at the end of its useful life in this game, so it might not be worth bothering to train. This would also be a danger with Trubbish.

The most important thing to know about Florinia's Cradily is that it only knows Smack Down as an offensive move (No grass move). Therefore, Pancham and Makuhita are certainly the ideal mons to have due to their type when you face it, even if Combusken with Bulk Up is also a good option (If you chose him as your starter of course). Also, if you do so, be sure to have Arm Thrust in your moveset. As she will spam Stockpile, you'll have to make a lot of damage in the shortest possible time.

^ You can also go with Mankey, as its STAB Cross Chop is not only by far the strongest Fighting move available at that point (tied with the same move used by Guts Teddiursa), it also has a high crit rate to get around Stockpile.
