Shiny Type: null

So I want a shiny type null in the lab on 7th street and i managed to quick save while talking to the lady right before the type:null attacks her. So my question is when is it decided that the pokemon is shiny? If it's decided before i even talk to her, could you show me how to delete my last save.

It's only decided as the battle starts, so you should be fine. otherwise you can load a previous save by finding your backups in saved games, and rename one to game.rxdata (replacing the current one)
