Gainery
So due to the recent postgame blog addressing how quests for legendary pokemon are to be a large part of the postgame, I've decided to theory craft what these quests could entail. I would first like to say that these are MY opinions on how I would go about making the quests, if I could, not how they should be done. I'm not trying to come off like my ideas are what I expect the end product to be; I'm just listing my ideas for the quests. Also, keep in mind that I'm not a book writer that can come up with amazing plots. Anyways without further ado, these are my ideas of every legendary and their quests that mentioned in the dev blog: Cresselia/Darkrai: I paired these two together because I feel that the quest could involve something similar to what happened in gen 4/gen 5 where we go on a quest to get a lunar wing for a child having nightmares, find Cresselia for the wing, then go into the kids dream to fight Darkrai. Does Reborn have a spooky house? Regice/Registeel/Regirock/Regigigas: tbh, I feel that there shouldn't be a quest just for the first three and that they could be found in their respective regions after completing a puzzle for each. However, Regigigas should get a quest involving the byxbysion corruption or something, where you need the three regis to save Regigigas or something. Raikou/Entei/Suicune: My boy Eusine needs to make a comeback to help us track down Suicune. The story can have three parts, one for each dog. Maybe the dogs are roaming after their specific quest? [Mesprit/Uxie/Azelf: ] Articuno/Zapdos/Moltres: Adrienn says that there's something going on at Shade's power plant, once we get there we find that someone is trying to reroute the electricity from the power plant to below Dr. Connal's Orphanage in an attempt to power up Zapdos. We eventually find out that there are two other people who are trying to use Team Meteor's pulse machines to recreate Pulse Camerupt and Pulse Avalugg to power Moltres and Articuno or something. Thundurus/Tornadus/Landorus: So I really like these three, and I would make a quest based around Tornado Hunters where we follow Tornadus, and we have to go to a weather station to find where Thundurus is. Afterwards, we become archaeologists and we go deep into a cave in Tourmaline Desert to find a Shrine to get Landorus. [Cobalion/Terrakion/Virizion/Keldeo: ] Celebi: We go to the Aevium Region and since they like time travel sooooo much, why don't we help them with some stuff in the past and find Celebi (or not cuz time travel is wack and makes everything harder). Meloetta: So Hardy likes guitar, and Meloetta likes singing, so why don't we put two together and have a sidequest where we help Hardy make a band. [Victini: ] Volcanion: Since Volcanion is said to live in mountains where humans do not tread in its Pokedex entry, there could be a quest where we go to Teknite Range to investigate high moisture levels (because Volcanion can produce steam) in an area that is close to a desert. Hoopa: "In its true form, it possesses a huge amount of power. Legends of its avarice tell how it once carried off an entire castle to gain the treasure hidden within". -Bulbapedia quoting the oras Pokedex. Hoopa is about to Z-Snatch Vanhanen Castle and get triggered when there's no treasure because Radomus is broke. Zeraora: Chrysolia Cave (Joke lol). Anyways, if we do fight it, it'll probably be on the Factory/Short Circuit Fields since Zeraora needs electricity from outside sources "Zeraora lacks an electricity-generating organ, so it gathers and stores electricity from outside sources." -bulbapedia quoting the official pokemon usum site's entry for Zeraora. Magearna: We could have a quest involving the scrapyard where we assemble a Magearna or follow it around until we corner it and Magearna's mans (Melmetal) comes to beat us up. Jirachi: Idk, ask Anna nicely? I seems to me that Anna would be the one that has Jirachi, and fights us with it during our Elite 4 challenge. Tapu Lele/Fini/Bulu/Koko: Not sure about Lele, Koko, and Fini, but Bulu's dex entry says "It commands plants to immobilize its foes and then deals them a savage blow with its horns." Jasper and Beryl Wards: "Ah shit, here we go again. " Diancie: There might be a quest involving a Gemologist going into Iolia Valley's caverns. It would be cool to have a puzzle involving the direction of light through crystals. Heatran: I'll be honest, there is only one place in Reborn that Heatran could be, and that's at the center of Pyrous Mountain. If it isn't there, then I don't know, maybe Tanzan Mountain? Genesect: This seems like something Shelly would love to have, so I assume the quest will involve teaming up with her in Aventurine Woods. Lati@s: Maybe in one town you meet a silent girl who's suspicious, and you trail her as she visits a bunch of places, then goes to Latios, and they have a team battle against you. Not really much to go off here. Marshadow: Reward from FITE Shaymin: I would have a quest involved around getting the Gracidea flower which might start in the flower shop in the Lapis Ward, and maybe go to the flower place before Titania's gym. Maybe there's a quest involving Sandy, which could have been alluded to in the postgame blog, pointed out by Imperial. Mew?: under trash bin in Peridot. Idk if there's a truck anywhere in Reborn. Dialga/Palkia: I feel like we could find Dialga under the Grand Staircase, as Adrienn was moved from the past to the future, and find Palkia in the glitched world that we fought tErRa in because space is warped, or some other place, hell, maybe in the black hole that Gardevoir made. Groudon/Kyogre: Kyogre has to be under Azurine Lake, which is why there's a lake there, and Groudon has to be beyond that sandstorm which is blocking us from advancing north of the Scrapyard, which is why there's a desert there. Lugia/Ho-oh: We could need Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres to find Lugia, and Raikou, Entei, and Suicune to find Ho-oh. Don't know where they would be though. Reshiram/Zekrom/Kyurem: The only place where we've seen Reshiram and Zekrom are in Titania's Fairy Tale, which could be where we find them again, but get a chance to fight them based off which route we took with Taka. I would imagine Kyurem being somewhere in Ametrine Mountain. The quest could involve gathering the three legendaries and finding the DNA splicers from remnants of Team Meteor. Xerneas/Yveltal: I have no idea how Ame is going to add this many quests into Reborn; there isn't enough space to even think about where these two would go. Like are we going to have to fight in the streets of Reborn or something? Not to mention, there still has to be room for the ultra beasts too. Lunala/Solgaleo: "It is said to live in another world" -Solgaleo's dex entry. We're going to ultra space, there's no other way. Deoxys: Willing to say that we might see Deoxys during the main story, when we eventually get past THE DOOR because Reborn got smacked by a meteor a long time ago right. Giratina: Distortion world incoming. "Legends claim that Giratina appears in cemeteries" -Bulbapedia. The portal to the Distortion World might be in that cave with the totem near Beryl Cemetery after or during Giratina's quest. I also agree with Cadmium48's idea that Giratina could be found in Chrysolia Cave due to the similarities with Turnback Cave from DPPt. Rayquaza: Probably going to come down from the Ozone Layer during the Groudon/Kyogre quest. Personally think that the quest will just allow us to access the quest for Rayquaza, not catch it. Zygarde: Help me if we have to do the Zygarde cell collectathon bs from Rejuvenation. Isn't this thing supposed to wake up if the ecosystem is screwed up? Then why did it do jack shit when Reborn was on the verge of being uninhabitable!? It's definitely not in the region. Will probably show up during the Xerneas/Yveltal quest with the same idea as Rayquaza, where we won't catch it, but be able to unlock a quest to catch it. Necrozma: It looks the exact same as the dark crystals in the caves of Iolia Valley. Necrozma could have just not gotten enough light and stopped moving. "Light is the source of its energy. If it isn't devouring light, impurities build up in it and on it, and Necrozma darkens and stops moving." -USUM Pokedex. Mewtwo: I could see Mewtwo being in Byxbysion in one of those weird tubes with switches. I always thought they looked similar to the things that held the clones in the Mewtwo Strikes Back movie. Arceus: We probably fight it at the end of the story, and then after obtaining every other pokemon, Arceus could allow us to fight and catch them if we go through a bunch of trials/battles. Thank god I'm on Summer break, that took close to four hours to write and research. For now, I left the Lake Guardians, the Swords of Justice, and Victini without anything because I really don't know where they would go. In fact, I kinda ran out of steam near the end, because at that point there were so many legendaries that didn't have any leads to where they would go, and some legendaries would be going in the same places as others. However, for now, I rest. I might come back to fill in anything if I get new ideas from myself or others. Either way, I'm sorry for the big essay and I'm not even sure if I'm in the right place to post this, but I hope you have a good day. Peace. logintomylife
I am thinking that we might, several times, travel to different regions to obtain certain legendaries o: Would certainly make it more logical
Egzample
Ah, I was waiting for theorycrafting topic. I guess the mapping won't be too big, so dont expect new cities or so. And I wonder if Ame has already detailed plan for all of them, or she will collect ideas from such topics.

Especially with Rejuvenation, if we're allowed access to a few areas like East Gearen, Ame has no idea how many times Jan will change the layout and graphics of those areas over time, as Rejuvenation will continue after Reborn ends. It would be a pain to redo all the quests just because Jan changed something.
Outside Indoorsman
My crazy one minute ideas on this! The Lake Trio - Amaria, Florinia, and Julia are trying to find them to get additional help recovering their - (will to live, ability to normally feel emotions, knowledge on what she should do with life). As for where that'd happen... I have no idea. The Musketeers: The Fairy Tale Field boosts their signature move Sacred Sword. So... Maybe they'll show up at a place with that field, like Adrienn's or Titania's gyms. And their fighting type, well, maybe if they do go to the coral ward they'll take an interest in Victoria? She's in Reborn a lot and Apophyll could fit them. Victini: the Victory Star ability is fitting for the Starlight Arena we will probably fight Anna on. Maybe Anna will give us a lead on Victini? Conkeldurp
@Gainery: thx for the threat, mate. Now that you are writing this, the legendary quests (especially the one with legendary trios involved) will need to be behind somewhat lengthy quest(-chains) to avoid the perception of some kind of legendary-overdosage (and quite frankly I think noone would really enjoy catching 2 or 3 legendaries right after another). The real task is in my opinion to give the player a sense of accomplishment for most of the legendaries, not hand them on a silver platter. For that matter I really like your take on getting Marshadow after like 100 wins in a row at the nightclub, or after finishing the boss rush (which will be quite a challenge). and dislike the "sudden appearance" of Zygarde and Raquaza during the adherent legendary quests (since these Mons are recieved like .."oh you got two, take the third one for free"..). Guest Relinquished
I seriously hope there won't be "roaming" legendaries, like generation 2 dogos... I wasted an entire summer hunting them back in the day, before utilizing a Hypnosis Gengar and Max Repels.
Cadmium48
The two I most disagree with are Zeraora and Giratina, because I think Giratina will be the one in Chrysolia Cave. It behaves very similarly to Turnback Cave in DPPt, and, if you read the book in the room with Eevee, you can find out that the captain found a "door glowing with light" that he couldn't open, so there's clearly something there. And the story about Giratina messing up the region has it land somewhere in the southwest... I agree with most everything else though. Imperial
Cass' allusion to a quest were you need to reduce your relationship points with Adrienne from Sandy is most likely a follow-up of E18's leading to Shaymin. Giratina, I imagine its fight against Arceus that nearly destroyed Reborn in the past will happen again. With Arceus back, Giratina will break free and you'll have to fight it with Arceus (caught previously) before it messes up with Reborn again Articune/Moltres/Zapdos : top of ametrine mountain/top of pyrous mountain/old power plant (or Calcenon's power grid, we don't know the place yet) after a quest/the intention of an item to make them appear Entei/Raikou/Suicide: something that will remind us of GS' roaming, maybe really roaming if they are sadistic enough Mewtwo : hidden (meteor?) lab in a place we don't know yet. Groudon/Kyogre: Groudon under ametrine/citrine/idontrememberthelastmountain and Kyogre under pyrous mountain (yes, in that order). Pyrous used to be a cold mountain filled with clear water while ametrine was a volcano. Giratina's influence changed that (and pyrous' melted snow drown the city, forming azurine lake). Maybe the two legendaries were trapped by the sudden change Victini:the victory Pokemon so maybe it will be related to victory road and us being the new champion ? Mew: is there any truck in Reborn ? Ultra beasts : in another world made accessible after Lin tried to create her own world. That's all I can think of now
Urist_Imiknorris
Zeraora in Chrysolia cave is a joke from the postgame dev blog post. My biggest question is what fields are we going to battle each legendary on? So far my guesses are: -Volcanion on a Superheated Field -The Tapu on their respective terrains -Shaymin in a Flower Garden -Diancie in a Crystal Cavern -Genesect on a Factory Field -Darkrai in a Dark Crystal Cavern -Ho-oh on a Rainbow Field -Kyogre underwater. edit: Come to think of it, some quests may require us to actually beat the legendaries concerned, which makes me feel we might have to fight Mewtwo's mega evos one after the other (probably on an Ashen Beach). Sorry to confuse you, I should have stated that completing the Kyogre/Groudon quest or the Xerneas/Yveltal quest should not allow Rayquaza or Zygarde to be caught, just unlocked for a future quest involving them, which was where I was trying to go with the ideas that they're not in the Reborn region until their respective prequest has been started/finished. I've fixed it in post.
crulla
Hmm I think all the roaming legendaries will probably be a hide & seek event, as Ame has not been using them for a while. I can't think of a place for Xerneas, but for Yvetal, maybe we'll get a chance to renovate the Wasteland and find Yvetal there.
Amphibi
Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos could roam like in X snd Y, where they just autorun and you don't have a chance to throw a ball, and then end up on Ametrine, Pyrous, Shade's power plant respectively In Red/Blue Rescue Team. In that game Mew was in a 99 floor dungeon and it would transform into other pokemon so you didn't know which one was Mew. So maybe you find it under a random train and then it roams while hidden as another Pokemon. Regirock in a cave in the desert, Regice in Citrine or in a cave on Ametrine Mountain makes sense. Not sure where Registeel would go, maybe the depths of Tanzan? In Emerald after you beat the game you could find caves/dive spots on random routes that were caused by Kyogre and Groudon. Whenever they were on a route there would be harsh sunlight/rain too. Maybe they find eachother and start fighting. That could lead to you having to find Rayquaza, who could maybe be on the summit of Charous Mountain, pretty sure it's the tallest in Reborn. Uxie, Mespirit and Azelf I could see being in a quest related to Eve, Lumi, and Zero.
CorEagle
Cresselia and Darkrai: Reborn City plunged into darkness as the moon and the sun, at that exact moment, seemed to collide in the sky. A phenomenon called eclipse, which on earth is such an awe-inspiring event which called everyone outside for pleasure viewing. This was not so in Reborn. A careless wish of a man with nothing left to lose and nothing to live for transformed this phenomenon into a living nightmare. Dreams seem to come alive in Reborn City as dead loved ones spontaneously appeared from thin air and horrible abominations roam the street. However, the moon seems...strange. Why does it keep flickering so? The Sacred Swords + Victini: Apophyll Gym's Sensei, Victoria, has taken upon herself the duty of protecting the students of Apophyll. Yet, she cannot erase the guilt she bore after witnessing the death of her beloved Sensei and longtime-friend Amethyst. Everyday was hollow, her movements were like a machine whose only purpose was 'to protect the legacy of Sensei Kiki'. One day, while meditating on the beach, she saw a majestic Pokemon with flowing red hair, blue scarf-like appendages, and a sharp horn. All the while, the remnants of Lin's tyranny planned their first target. The pillar which supported Reborn's workforce: Apophyll gym. Will Victoria be able to find her [RESOLUTION], achieve her own [VICTORY] with her own two hands? ("I will no longer look back! This I swear as your master, Keldeo." "Let our actions trample our enemies, and our spirits burn with glory and victory!") This is what I imagine what would happen with these legendaries. The "Sacred Swords" though, I really feel like Victoria would be the central point of them. Keldeo[Resolute] would probably Victoria's signature mon. Failing that, it would be Victini, considering that one of her strongest wishes is to achieve victories that actually mean something. She's tired of losing with great consequences and winning bitter victories. Edited December 2, 2019 by CorEagle 1
