One of them is sad coz he doesn't have his Growlithe anymroe, and his buddy wants to help him. So he will ask you if you want to trade your Growlithe for Mareep. As Growlithe is an event Pokemon too, i suggest you breeding a second one before trading just in case you want to use an Arcanine later.
