Is it possible to change the content of the dialogue of characters in the game? I can't find where the files are stored to do so. I've also been having the same issue seen here with custom sprites, but its still possible to play the game, you just have to press enter every time to get passed it. Is there any way to get passed this error as well? send help

the dialogue is stored in one of the files that you can't open without booting the game in RPG Maker. you can edit the dialogue easily if you have RPG Maker XP.

and for the custom sprite, I have no idea because I've always customized my sprites and it's always worked 😕 maybe you can say what custom sprite you're trying to add and I can check if it works on my end / edit it so it works?

To change the dialogue of characters, you would also need the game's PBS, due to the fact that the game needs to compile in rpg maker's playtesting mode for changes to take effect. However, said PBS is readily made available by the Reborn Team and after obtaining it, all you would need to do would be to change the "show text" section of the dialogue within it.

so the pbs has to be opened in rpg maker xp to edit the dialogue, and then imported to the actual game? is there a process to follow for this?

When you download RPG Maker XP and Pokémon Essentials, it comes with several files. Replace Audio, Data, Graphics and PBS files with the files that come with a fresh copy of Reborn + Reborn PBS. Then you can open Game.rxproj and you'll have everything in Reborn available for tweaking. Hope that helps 😆

Ok, I've done all that and I can open the game in RPGXP now. Call me a noob, but where do I go to search for the dialogue to change? How do you save it after you're done to be a permanent change to the base files of reborn? Many thanks if this could be answered, I haven't used rpg maker xp since I was 10 lol

you can see all the maps that Reborn has. look for the map where the character whose dialogue you want to change appears. within that map, chances are one of the events there (usually the first event to be triggered when the player enters the map in game, but may vary) will have an event that reads something like "Text: [what character originally says]". now you can edit that, and voila! the character should now say what you want him/her/them/xem to say. so you can save that rxproj file and when you boot up Reborn again from Game.exe, the character should now say the text you edited. es ok, let me know if I wasn't clear in explaining this oof
