How do I leave the Bybyxion Wasteland?

I am at Aya's gym, ran into some trouble, and I'd like to head off to level up my Scraggy in order to hopefully give the team some more offensive punch. Problem is, I'm not sure how to leave. I turned the machines near the gym red, went down a ledge, then found an area with more machines...and no way out. thankfully I didn't save while I was there so I wasn't softlocked, but still....how do I leave? Am I stuck here until I beat Aya?

You just go back the same way you came in.

 

You need some HMs, Iirc Cut and Rock Smash.

You're not stuck there while you haven't defeat Aya yet.

To get out, keep going south east( right side), go down the one step stair.

then go right, break a rock then go down a ledge, then go down another ledge north of that,

go a bit north then go left and go down more ledges, then climb that building, then slide down a steel beam,

then keeping going left and bit a south to see the exit.

not sure if this will help but try following these directions

Thanks a ton, I didn't originally see the south-to-north ledge. Now to train....
