Dr Badgercat MD
What is your main team atm?
Fiammazure
It's too bad the pidove don't evolve into powerful staraptors anymore.
Twist
For the second gym try out Scraggy (Slums after you beat Fern), Kircketune, Makuhita (Slums), Magby, Trubbish. Not gonna need all of them obviously, but yeah any of those should help you win. As for a starter team, chances are you won't have a solid team that'll carry you through the entire game anyways. Chances are you'll switch your team up eventually.
Fiammazure
Get a kricketune with perish song, trust me, you'll need it later, because you can't beat a trainer with 1 pokemon otherwise.
Wish
Please keep in mind that Pokemon Reborn is a more difficult than most Pokemon games from my experience. For a good starting team you should aim for having all different Pokemon types. A party full of one type isn't going to take you far. Please keep in mind that you should try to have everyone around the same level. If you are just starting then you can't be very picky when it comes to Pokemon. Part of the fun of Pokemon unless you are too hardcore is finding a team that you like and works for you. Personally I am stupid, I gather only Pokemon I like and most of the time they aren't very strong. But I don't care since I am having fun. I wouldn't stress out about it much but do try for a variation of types. Another tip is don't be shy to use the internet. I personally use http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/. You can look up a Pokemon and you can see everything about them. Even more than you want to know. The main things on the site you would want to look for is: Level of evolution Base stats Generation V move sets There are probably more helpful tips others but I hope it helps. Plus keep in mind there is a good chance of your starter team changing and you won't be stuck with them. Currently I hate my starter team but I am beating the gyms so I can get to the Pokemon I actually want. If I was you I would go with the flow! Good luck and have fun! The fighting types do stand a chance, but since cradilly has recover so you might want something that can put it to sleep or another kind of status. JayDo
While Bulbapedia is considered the best for comprehensive information about the franchise and pokemon, Serebii is the more active hand held trading and battling community. But if you want tips on strategies, move sets, and IV spreads http://smogon.com/ is the place to go. If you want to learn more about the games in video form, my favorite poketubers are: TheJWitz http://www.youtube.com/user/TheJWittz Tamashii Hiroka http://www.youtube.com/user/TamashiiHiroka The National Dex http://www.youtube.com/user/TheNationalDex Shofu:http://www.youtube.com/user/shofu And let's just throw in Kanto University while we are at it : http://www.youtube.com/user/KantoUniversity
Tiiger
What is your main team atm? Atm i have Patchirisu lv 25 ,Glameow lv 21,monferno,lv25 ,Zubat lv 18,Sunflora lv 14,scraggy lv13
Dr Badgercat MD
Only downside with that is the attack boost, personally I'd go with an Oddish or Bellsprout as a staller, dat sleep powder.

Pacherisu if it has thunderwave than that'd be great. Zubat sounds like a great pokemon for this gym. Try and use Scraggy for its low kick to weaken Cradily(I used that, and it worked out pretty well.) Overall, the team seams like it could work well, just try different kinds of strategies and hopefully they work out.
Wish
Serebii is a good site but it gives me a headache. Either way using a site is a good idea but I would stick to Bulbapedia or Serebii.
Tiiger
ok, ill try find a bellsprout, my main problem is monferno levels right after 1 battle so he starts ignoring me then i have no one else that does much damage haha, and is kricketot (kricketune) when it evolves? Dr Badgercat MD
Go buy some common candy at the candy store, it lowers a pokemons level by one. Really helpful in these situations.
Dr Badgercat MD
And once you mess up cradily with your other pokemon, send in monferno to finish the job.
Fiammazure
You might want to have more than 6 pokemons. put some in the PC. because you WILL NOT finish the game with 6 or fewer pokemons in your team.
Tiiger
them candys iv try'd using them but it dont do anything, he just holds it or is there some special way to give him them ?
Dr Badgercat MD
You just give it to them outside of battle like you would a potion.

JayDo
tryd that he just holds it, dont lower his level Is there a chance that you are selecting it from the pokemon hold item option and not the bag? Because you should be able to use it like any other one time use item.
