Shade Help

Me again. Sorry.

I'm battling Shade now and he's actually pretty easy for the most part.

He starts with Gengar. I lead with Beware.
Gengar uses Thunderbolt and Beware sweeps it with Payback.

Next is Banette.
I swap out for my own Banette and One-Hit KO it with a field-powered Shadow Ball.

Third is Rotom.
I keep Banette in and get it down to about a quarter of it's HP with Sucker Punch. Unfortunately, Banette then goes down with a Shadow Ball.
I send Beware out again and finish Rotom with two or three Paypacks as Shade Hyper Potions Rotom and the damn thing has leftovers.

This is where he varies.
His 4th Pokemon is sometimes Dhelmise, sometimes Mimikyu.
Dhelmise is any easy sweep with two Flame Bursts from my Charizard and I expect the same for Dublade though I've not battled it yet as his 4th Pokemon has always been one of the two.

That damn Mimikyu with Swords Dance is where I run into trouble!
How do I get rid of that thing?

I recall you mentioning having a Klink. An option would be to evolve it, set it up, and Gear Grind the damn thing.

You can also work in a Mightyena with Intimidate or a Moxie sweeper set, whichever you prefer.

That said, I would not have kept in Banette against Rotom or Mimikyu, since it will be outsped and not used to its full potential.

Mightyena is a bad idea if her problem is Mimikyu. Not only is Mimikyu faster than Mightyena, Play Rough will easily one shot.

Since it seems you have no problem with anything other than Mimikyu here are the two things i can recommend:

1.) Female Meowtstic learns Shadow Ball and is super strong against this gym in general. It's also faster than anything in this gym. But it needs to be aware of Mimikyu's Shadow Claw.

2.) Klang can resist Play Rough, which is Mimikyu's strongest move. If you set up by using Autotomize one or two times first, you should be able to go for the kill with Gear Grind.

One thing to note: While i would pick Meowstic for a lot of reasons, Klang might be the safer choice against Mimikyu. On the other hand, while Klang is most useful for Mimikyu here, Meowstic could sweep the entire gym by itself, if it were not for Mimikyu's Disguise ability that prevents the first damage move from doing any damage.

Actually if I recall correctly

‘The nature power move in the factory field should actually be gear grind

So anyone of your mon with nature power and the right investment can easily swoop in and deletus that Mimikyu

Always prepare in advance against what kind of field and strategy

Discharge spamming is usually the go to. Usually people hope and pray they get the paralysis hax or beg for mold breaker drillbur/exadrill

Back when I was in your struggles... I didn’t struggles

Minimize Muk cheated my way against the earlier reborn leaders and I ain’t mad one bit

I’m just here chillen

Have fun Chaos

My line of thinking was more along using Mightyena to fight the others like Banette so that she can spend more other mons as cannon fodder to whittle down Mimikyu instead. That's how I did my run

So I guess your current team is Charizard, Bewear, Banette... Any other high leveled Pokémon around?

An easy strategy against him is to PP waste his Rotom. By continuously switching between a ground and a normal type, Rotom will never hit you. Once it is out of PP, it will immediatly switch out.

The best part is that whenever you KO one of his next Pokémon (let's say Dhelmise), if Rotom is still alive, he will send it in. Then immediatly switch it out, giving you one early free attack. Since this strategy also saved your Banette, you should have the extra needed strength to beat Mimikyu.

I do have a Kilnk. I had to box it in favor of Ampharos for Shelly.
My Mightyena has Moxie which definitely would boost my sweeping power if it can resist his electricity.  Currently, her strongest Dark move is Assurance.
So Mightyena and Klang it is.

This isn't the Factory Field it's the Short-Circuit Field which is similar but has a darkness aspect that boosts ghost moves and the Nature Power is Discharge.

For those who are curious the rest of the team I was going in with was:
Swanna
Pikachu
Garbodor

Garbodor's Aftermath has done some sweet damage to Mimikyu but then it uses a damn Sitrus Berry.

...

Right you don’t have the move discharge amongst your pokemon.

I assumed you had an ampharos to change the field between short circuit into factory field

Clear smog exist for garbodor

I'm afraid to ask how old you think I am 😅, but no, most certainly not.
I'd never taken a liking to either line. This isn't the first time that has happened though.
I have a Shiny Mudsdale in Moon that I had not expected to use much but he ended up being a key member of my team and is amongst my hall of famers.

Update:
I got him.
Mightyena and Klang did the job, albeit barely. Neither was able to outspeed him and I had to use a super potion and a hyper potion to keep Klang in the game through Mimikyu which interestingly just spammed Discharge the whole time, it didn't even bother with Swords Dance.

He also changed up his order on me, he sent out Rotom second, Mimikyu third and Banette last.
