How many gyms are you planning for this game and would you say the Hard mode is similar to reborns difficulty?

Love the plot description.  Got me hooked without revealing anything about it honestly. Good luck with eevelopment

The game is going to be 10 Gyms long, there will be some secret bosses, that you can consider mini Gyms if you want, but they aren't needed for game progression.

Hard mode should be around Reborns difficulty yeah, I'm unsure if I want literally everyone to have 6 mons in Hard mode, but its highly probable that they will. So definitely.

Sup humanoids, non-humanoids and semi-humanoid creatures!

In the main thread, I mentioned I was going to do Pokémon Rebalancing, so i want to give some examples, and where I am with it.

I currently have touched upon every single Gen 1 and Gen 2 Pokémon, its mostly based on Drayano hacks, but I also did some things my way, here are some examples:

* = New move added to the level up movepool

** = Move replaced by another one in the same level

Spoiler

#186 Politoed
=====================

Stat Changes:
Attack: 75 >> 60
Defense: 75 >> 90

Total: 500 >> 500

Ability: Damp >> Icy Veins

0  Cosmic Power *
1  Bubblebeam
1  Hypnosis
1  Hail *
1  Perish Song
1  Water Spout *
1  Icy Wind *
1  Penance *
32 Swagger
38 Hail **
43 Baton Pass **
48 Hyper Voice
53 Ice Beam *
56 Light Screen *
60 Water Spout *

I gave Politoed Light Screen and Cosmic Power, so it can be slightly more tankier, and Baton Pass for it to do some memey strats with his team,giving him a more supportive role.
BUT!
I also gave him a new ability, called Icy Veins, this ability powers up water and ice-type moves in Hail, and also give Hail immunity.
Politoeds with this ability are capable of becoming more of a power house instead of a supporting role!
Water Spout is there for its ultimate water move.

Spoiler

#124 Jynx
================

Second Ability: Forewarn >> Cute Charm
Hidden Ability: Dry Skin >> Charming Touch

0  Wake Up Slap *
1  Draining Kiss
1  Perish Song
1  Pound
1  Lick
1  Lovely Kiss
1  Sweet Kiss *
1  Powder Snow
5  Lick
8  Lovely Kiss
8  Sweet Kiss *
11 Powder Snow
15 Double Slap
18 Ice Punch
21 Heart Stamp
25 Fake Tears **
28 Psyshock **
35 Frost Breath *
40 Aura Sphere *
44 Body Slam
49 Calm Mind **
55 Perish Song
60 Blizzard

For Jynx, I gave it some more special attack moves, and made Calm Mind a level up move, nothing too wild there.
But I also gave it a new ability called Charming Touch, this ability works like Poison Touch, but instead of poison, it infatuates the target.
Meaning that Lovely Kiss and Sweet Kiss will be way more stupid.

And these are only some of the changes,  there are at least 25 new moves, 15 new abilities, etc...

Another thing I want to talk about are the Starters!
Pokémon Divulgence won't offer the same starters as Pokémon Reborn or Rejuvenation, or any fangame I know really.

The starters are:

Don't freak out, I balanced them too, all get 2 new moves and other cool tools : )

If hard mode is the cannon difficulty could you mention it when we start the game. It could inform new player who didn't view the in-dept information. Usually normal would be the mode for the game that is cannon. Good luck with the rest or the developement

Sure, I can do that.

While it wasn't intended, I guess I kinda did base it on them in a way :P, but it was mostly because I like bears.

Thank you to everyone else too 🙂

I've been working on Rustling Grass, Dust Particles and other mechanics like that from Gen 5. Slowly getting the hang of it:

Dust Particles:

I've also been doing custom shinys for the Pokémon that will appear in the alpha. Not a lot of progress on that sadly yet, but it's getting there.

This looks really promising, can't wait to play this. And that map looks so huge, I'm surprised the game will only have 10 gyms.

Since you mentioned Drayano, will you add the option of choosing between vanilla version (no changes to pokemon) and the rebalanced version (with your changes) like he did with his hacks?

Nope, sorry.
It would sadly be too much work to, and it would go against the vision I have of this game.

Yeah it will only have 10 Gyms, but it will have mini gym-leader kind of bosses for you to find and fight.

Yeah, already thought so. I can totally understand that.

Either way, I'm not against self made rebalances, was just curious, so I'm still looking forward to playing this 😁

If someone were to suggest to you a regional form, would you consider it? If not, I totally get it but I am curious. 😬

Regional forms are actually already included:

If you have any ideas sure.

I don't promise I will add them. But I'll for sure look into it.

Same goes for anything really

If you have item ideas. Field effects ideas. Move. Abilities. Anything.

I'll gladly think about it.

I already have a list of things I want to add. I can probably add more.

I was thinking of maybe an Aquatic Ekans/Arbok? It'd keep the Poison typing but a water Typing would be added.

Yellow again humanoids!
In the main thread I said I was gonna add Field Effects, so I wanted to show some custom ones I have made so far;

I have been slowly adding the ones In this list to the game, there's still some things that don't work properly, but that is a problem for future me 😜

Spoiler

    1. Grassy Field [GF]
    2. Forest Field [FF]
    3. Forest Fire Field [FFF]
    4. Burning Field [BF]
    5. Electric Field [EF]
    6. Library Field [LF]
    7. Misty Field [MF]

    9. Water Surface Field [WSF]
    10. Underwater Field [UF]
    11. Floating Island Field [FIF]
    12. Open Air Field [OAF]
    13. Light Forest Field [LFF]
    14. Dark Forest Field [DFF]
    15. Cave Field [CF]

    xx :  Swamp Field
    xx : Corrosive Mist Field
    xx : Toxic Water Surface
    xx:  Frozen Field
    xx : Earths Core
    xx : Heated Cave
    xx : Vulcanic Field
    xx : Graveyard Field
    xx : Haunted Field

The new ones compared to Reborn and Rejuv would be:
Forest Fire, Library, Floating Island, Open Air, Light Forest and Dark Forest.
The first gym leader is gonna use one of these, good luck guessing which one.

For Dark Forest, probably one of my favorite so far, it does this:

Spoiler

[  ]----------------------------------------------------------[ 14 ]
               Dark Forest Field
[  ]----------------------------------------------------------[DFF]
                  "Monsters hide in the darkness"

*    Cursed Body has doubled activation chance (30% >> 60%)

*    Shadow Shield is activated

*    Prism Armor is de-activated

*    Justified boosts attack by 1 on entry

*    These abilities won't work unless the user is dark type:
        Magic Guard    Magic Bounce

*    Multitype and RKS System will turn the user into a Dark type regarless of held item

*    Dark-Type moves are boosted by x1.5

*    Dark-Type moves ignore stat changes

*    Fairy-Type moves are boosted by x1.2

*    Grass-Type moves are boosted by x1.25

*    Psychic-Type moves decrease in base power x0.5

*    These moves stat changes are doubled:
        Parting Shot    Memento

*    Geomancy stat boosts are halved

*    These moves have 85% accuracy:
        Dark Void

*    Pursuit damage is doubled

*    These moves have decreased effects:
        Fleur Cannon (now lowers Special Attack by 3 stage)
*    These moves have increased effects:
        Nasty Plot (now only increases Special Attack by 3 stage)

*    These moves heal 75% HP:
        Wish    Synthesis    Moonlight

*    Nature's Madness deals 75% damage from 50%

*    These moves also activates Lock On effect on the target:
        Forest's Curse

*    These moves turn the field into Light Forest and gain a power boost (x1.3):
        *Fairy-Type moves (use twice)

*    Nature Power becomes Dark Void

*    Camouflage turns the user into a Dark Type

*    Secret Power may lower accuracy

*       Activates Magical Seed:
        *Gives +1 Atk, Sp. Atk and Speed
        *Gives Focus Energy to the user

If you want to see others, just tell me I'll post them too.

Anyway, another mechanic that I actually have yet to add, but have a lot of ideas for, is based on Field Effects and Natural Objects from Gen 6,
for those that don't know, Natural Objects, are things that would sometimes appear randomly in the background of some fights.
When using specific moves, you would get a berry or item at the end of battle once you broke them.

The new mechanic I am making will be both that AND field effect related, they are called Field Objects, here's an example:

Spoiler

    1. Speakers Object [SO]
    2. Spiderweb Object [SWO]
    3. Ice Stone Object [ISO]
    4. Mossy Stone Object [MSO]
    5. Acid Tank Object [ATO]
    6. Whirlpool Object [WO]
    7. Pot of Gold [PoG]

Speakers Object:

> Boost Sound Moves by x1.2
> Sound Moves become part electric type
> Activates Throat Spray and Metronome on entry

> Boomburst, Overdrive and full power Echoed Voice break the speakers

Spiderweb Object:

> Raises Speed of bug mons by 1 stage on entry
> Can't switch out unless airborne/bug type
> -1 prio for all physical moves not made by a bug type pokémon

> Destroyed by flying and fire type moves

The basic premise is:
Does a maximum of only 3 things + always has a method to be destroyed.

<o/
The end folks.
