Soo.. I am trying to defeat Reyland but his Torterra is.. Upsetting me
For ~some reason~ his Torterra takes "not very effective..." to Flying, Fire, Ice and Bug, the types that are ~suppose~ to be strong against it..
I checked around to see if I am missing something, checked the field type, items, Torterra's Hidden Ability, anything and I can't, for the death of me, figure out why his Torterra is the way it is.. Basically I can't do super effects on it.. Does anyone has an explanation? Am I missing something here?

Anyway I fear that, in some way, I am stuck here.. I need to down two pokemons to get that Torterra out and even when I do he follows with the Excadrill that just wipes me out cuz, yunno, Sand Rush in a field that already starts with a Sandstorm..

Torterra has a crest (the held item) on it which reverses it's weaknesses and resistances. (Not immunities.) Makes it only weak to Rock and Ground.

What you are missing is that the torterra is holding it's crest, as noted by that blue symbol in it's Health UI like this

As Uno already noted torterra's crest swaps it's resistances and weaknesses

OOOOOH!!
That makes SO MUCH sense now, so that's what that icon is? Thanks guys! Now I feel like I have a better chance!
Tho' I was pretty sure I used Stone Edge before and it did "Not very effective..", maybe I used the wrong attack(?)
Anyway, thanks you two!

It could be you got blocked by one of Reyland Sig move

It can create a wall that can lower the dmg of super effective move... which make the torterra a godlike tank poke unless you choose neutral dmg move

His Torterra is definitely one of the strongest pokemon in the game. As said by others, it's weaknesses and resistances are reversed, so you should be using ground types against it. Dig becomes a one turn move on this field, so keep that in mind. I probably only got through this fight since I played V12 back when his Claydol was bugged and didn't do anything, so the fight was technically a 6v5.
