StormLord
As Francis gets into the ring his Meow Wow gets into position, as does the Moogle's Hebby Repp. As they stand there Francis notices three shapes coming into existence in front of each of them, after a few seconds three cards drop into his hands. They look nice, various bright colors, generously gilded, fancy white bordered black text. They seem to each represent an action his Meow Wow could take. Horn Dive 1: The Meow Wow gouges at an enemy with its horn, trying to gore them. Deals 1d12+3 damage. Cure 4: The Meow Wow casts a healing spell. Restore 1d4+8 HP. Balloon 4: The Meow Wow summons up three balloons that home in on enemies and detonate. Launch three balloons for 1d6+4 damage each. Status: Spoiler Meow Wow: 22/22 Hebby Repp: Healthy Notes: Spoiler Choose an action to perform each round and expend that "card", whoever plays the highest value card goes first and in the case of a tie the person who went last previously. Instead of taking an action you can expend a card to block for that value, if your block is higher than the enemy's action their action is canceled and a card of your choosing is powered up. Endlessblaze
--------------------- Leo --------------------- Leo pulls the potion out of the chest and stores it away"I see no reason not just to keep going up. I don't think we missed anything in that last room..." Onwards! --------------------- Takumi--------------------- That felt kinda weird. Not bad, but...weird? Maybe it had some kind of parameno component that could pick up on the world's feelings that created the water, and translate them into perception of it? Did that make sense? It vaugely felt like wearing a parameno ring. Curious. Maybe he could pull some equipment together and study these to figure out how they worked, though by this point most of his patience and ability to ask questions had been worn away. Getting pulled around like this and thrown out of your depth was, perhaps obviously, pretty taxing.Either way Takumi puts them on and closes the fountain, then makes sure to finish cleaning up, returning the key to where he had found it. He then decides to look around the hotel and its rooms a bit, to see if there's a bath he can use. Maybe behind the blue door?

Powder Miner
Satomi spent a while considering her next move. The path on the right seemed... festive. As in, literally, it looked like festivities were going on there, which would likely just end up distracting her, if anything -- she really did want to do something actually meaningful right now, even if she was perhaps maybe incredibly lost and wasn't likely to actually find the clocktower. Then there was the very shadowy part of the city, which Satomi... well... she... she hated to admit it even to herself, but she maybe couldn't see very well. And maybe she would have an even harder time seeing things if there wasn't a whole lot of light with which to see. So by the process of elimination, that left her only one real option, in her mind: take the middle path and maybe investigate whatever that large building over there was. "Right, well... hope I find something..." she muttered quietly.

Status: Spoiler Meow Wow: 5/22 Hebby Repp: Badly Wounded, Cards: Spoiler Balloonza 8: Meow Wow summons up five huge balloons that home in on enemies and pop into many smaller balloons which also home and detonate. Deals 1d6+2 damage twice. Horn Dive 6: The Meow Wow gouges at an enemy with its horn, trying to gore them. Deals 1d12+3 damage. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After taking only a few steps down her chosen path Satomi hears a loud *cough* from above. Her vision trails upward and behind to a blurry figure wearing a black coat and hood that stuck out against the dark but ever so slightly blue night sky. The figure is sitting quietly on the corner of the of the buildings, one leg dangling down into the intersection below and the other propped up on the rooftop they're sitting on."You look..-" The figure spoke in a gravely low voice, and as they spoke they pulled out a pipe and lit it with a snap of their fingers."-Like you could use some directions." They gave the pipe a few puffs to get it going before exhaling a small cloud of smoke and leaning down to get a better look at her.

There is some kind of mechanical device made of green and purple painted metal latched onto the clock no unlike some bizarre metal tick. Every few second a pulse of energy washes over the clock face, resetting the second hand back to its previous position. 'Antibonginator' ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Collecting the blue key and entering the blue room Takumi isn't sure what he expected to find. "I'll raise you three sanddollars..." As he drops three small tan chips in the middle of the table he grins menacingly towards the sharks on his left and right, two much smaller hammerhead and mako sharks."You know what Bruce? I'll call your bluff and match your bet!" As the hammerhead is reaching out to drop three more sanddollars into the pile as all three suddenly notice Takumi and turn to look at him at the same time. StormLord
Francis collects his rewards and starts going over the wad of notes the odd man had given him. Apparently there was some kind of cave near a "Third District" that was making strange noises at night. Consulting his map and heading back to the place he woke up and then beyond it a little. Spoiler Stepping through into the third district that this cave supposedly connects to Francis finds a small courtyard with a fountain in the far right corner depicting...a pair of dogs kissing over a plate of pasta? Oddly specific. He also notices a pounding beat coming from some distant source. There is a door on the side of the courtyard directly opposite the one he entered from, it seems to be the source of the sound and also judging from his map the direction to this cave. kj1225
Francis looks over the map again, before pausing to look at the fountain with a confused look. He starts to step towards it, before shaking his head and then heading towards the pounding beat. Music most likely... Which made this all the more odd. He'd been in caves before so he knew they weren't that great for music of that volume and type, which only could mean that it was someone who didn't want their music making found.... Hopefully it was just a party rather than anything more... sinister. With thoughts of dark lords and goblins running through his head, Francis walks towards the door, and with a deep breath, opens it.
StormLord
Spoiler As soon as Francis opens the door he can hear the music more loudly and clearly. On the other side the ground is that of a smooth blueish stone well trodden by many years of wear. Out ahead of him he sees a huge open cavern with a deep underground lake, out in the middle of the lake atop a small island is a strange structure. It consists of primarily a large cylindrical base leading to a wide round roof that goes from a shallow pitch to a drastically steeper one about halfway up(Looking not unlike a wizard's hat). Stalks and heads of various giant mushrooms stick out and plug holes in the roof while various fungal patches cover up collapsing and crumbling walls. A glowing light shines from inside the structure and flickers various shades of red, purple, green, and blue as it changes with the beat of the music. The light catches more fungus on the roof of the cave, hundreds of tiny glowing mushrooms that flicker and change to mimic the light from the structure. There are a series of smaller rocks between the shore and the central island with large flat mushrooms grown and woven together into pathways and bridges between them leading up to the front doors of the "teapot". kj1225
Francis looks around with a sense of wonder. Okay, not an evil sorcerer at least, they don't tend to like mushrooms that much. Maybe goblins? But they aren't much for music or magic... Which leaves a witch or something of the like. And that was fine by him, witches are a good lot he found. Living in forests and swamps, healing people, making potions. He never believed those stories about eating kids and candy houses himself. But he was getting off track, first he takes some samples of the mushrooms. They didn't seem very alive so he didn't feel the need to worry that he was hurting anything. And who knows, it could make a good snack if nothing else! After getting a piece of each type of mushroom he could find, he walked up to the tower, starting to bob to the beat unconsciously as he pounded on the door. StormLord
[Francis obtains Red, Brown, and Green mushroom samples] After the second knock Francis hears something shift inside and the door slowly creaks open. Inside Francis sees a large round room with a grungy brick floor, the whole place is lit by lamp sized versions of the tiny glowing mushrooms outside. Tables with chairs are sparsely littered around the outside of the room while in the center there is a raised round platform with a ring shaped bar around it surrounded by stools. The collection of occupants is obscure and odd to say the least, starting with the...thing that opened the door; A large mushroom creature with stalky arms and legs at least five or six inches across at their narrowest point and small beady eyes. Next what Francis can only assume are the bartenders; two old men wearing age-tattered robes held together with small patches of creeping mycelia, they both have long white hair and beards and yellowed eyes that look like they've been totally consumed by cataracts or something similar, one is wearing a large pointed hat that appears to quite literally be the top of a mushroom. They're standing around a pot in the middle of the raised area slam full of some kind of glowing yellow-green liquid, every now and then one of the stops to pour a drink and set it on the bartop where it is either taken by a patron or the large mushroom bouncer. One of the bartenders adds something to the pot as the music fades, and to the glee of the other another song begins. Spoiler The patrons seem just as odd; a cowboy in black leathers passed out drunk next to another much more lively cowboy in brown at the bar. A knight in brass armor sitting alone nursing a shot of something that glows. A group of purple-skinned lizard people with shiny shoulder pauldrons cackling around a table. A norseman with arms like trees sitting at a table talking to a woman in a fancy purple 1800s era dress. Some kind of vaguely humanoid creature that looks like its made of the night sky twisted into the shape of a man, it sits at a table with hundreds of tiny humanoids that flicker and twitch in and out of being as if they're only feint outlines. Two astronauts sitting together with their helmets off, one a man in a much older bulkier suit and the other a woman in a slimmer newer suit with various glowing panels and gadgets.
