Duskfang Shadowpaw
Before Battle Welcome, my Name is Dusk of the Elite 4. I joined this League to spread the belief that everyone is able to do good things with the Powers of Darkness. So far, however, only naive Trainers have challenged me, who have the firm belief, that only evil clusters should be allowed to train dark types. How about you? Can you offer me the ultimate fight of light against dark, so that more people in the world open their eyes and accept the beauty of darkness? I'm curious!!!! After sending out last Pokémon "Those, who've lost belief in themself can never triumph." General afterword "How peculiar...it seems like the Power of Darkness has abandoned me.........Be that as it may , this loss will make me even stronger once you've returned. You should take what you've learned in this battle and test if it helps you against the rest of the Elite 4. They paired up, so the defensive one supports it's offensive partner (for example: Slowking's Reflect + Light Screen, while Musharna's combination of 2× Calm Mind and Psychic/Moonblast). Additionally Future Sight might also be a threat to opponents due to the field and Calm Mind.QuotesBefore the battleGreetings challenger, I'm Crystal- the Psychic Gym Leader of Starlight City. As the seer of Infinity and Beyond, I observe humanity's activities and it pains me to see such corruption and hste in this world. So many souls and life disappeared because of selfishness and cruelty. It just terrible, isn't it? All hopelessness and despair... However I can sense a strong light filled with hope and determination inside your soul and mind. Are you different from the creatures of corruption? Are you perhaps someone, that can make- even with smaller steps- changes? Then prove yourself in this trial of observation with the power of your mentally. After sending out last Pokémon Mental health is equal to physical health. You must always keep them on line for improvement or else your lose the balance. Being defeatedSeems like you won this trial and proved yourself, but will it be same in the future? General afterwordI see... You determination and strength were proven to my eyes in this battle. So according to the League rules, you shall receive the Sync Badge. The Sync Badge enables your Pokemon's royalty up to Level 100 maximum. Also here's another gift from me (hands out TM4 Calm Mind). This Psychic move raises both Sp. Attack and Sp. Defense of any Pokemon, that can use it. It helps to cease your worries, while you focus more on the same time. And with that, I congrat you for completing your Gym Challenge, <player>. However be aware of the Elite 4 and the Champion. They are in much higher position than us Gym Leaders. I wish you good luck for your next page and may your determination shine bright in this world.
LuckyBlackCat
You navigate through a Dark Crystal Cavern, solving illusion based puzzles caused by tricks of the light, in addition to the usual crystal key ones. Eventually, you find yourself in a small chamber that has been converted into a jewellery making workshop, where a young woman turns to face you. Pre-Battle Dialogue: "Uhh hi! I'm Cat, and... Well, it goes without saying I'm the gym leader here. You nervous? Eheheh, if it makes you feel better, I get the jitters too. It's why I like to retreat here, in my little haven of a workshop, taking comfort in the presence of protective spirits. People tend to think ghosts are scary, huh? But if you get to know them, they'll make you smile and laugh. They'll be just as loyal as any Pokemon. That's why we have to face our fears. As terrifying as uncertainty may be, once you confront what scares you, it often becomes far less daunting. So! Let's do this!" You are challenged by Crafter Cat! Format: Single battles Team: Froslass "Opal" Level: 37 Ability: Cursed Body Item: Focus Sash Moves: Draining Kiss, Frost Breath, Shadow Ball, Aurora Veil Sableye "Almandine" Level: 38 Ability: Prankster Item: Leftovers Moves: Thunder Wave, Confuse Ray, Shadow Sneak, Power Gem Mismagius "Harmonia" Level: 39 Ability: Levitate Item: Magical Seed Moves: Shadow Ball, Mystical Fire, Perish Song, Dazzling Gleam Spiritomb "Sisyphus" Level: 38 Ability: Pressure Item: Roseli Berry Moves: Shadow Sneak, Nasty Plot, Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse Doublade "Ferrin" Level: 39 Ability: No Guard Item: Colbur Berry Moves: Night Slash, Autotomize, Shadow Claw, Iron Head Mimikyu "Velia" Level: 40 Ability: Disguise Item: Magical Seed Moves: Shadow Sneak, Shadow Claw, Swords Dance, Play Rough Dialogue upon sending out last Pokemon: "Being resigned to a near-inevitable outcome is somehow easier to deal with than the dread of the unknown. Weird, right?" Post-Battle Dialogue: "Heh... You see? I'm not so scary. I hope this gives you the confidence to keep pushing through anything in your way. As a reminder of your victory, here's the Crypt Badge. With this, Pokemon up to level 45 will listen to you. Also, take this TM. As well as dealing a fair amount of damage, Shadow Ball may unnerve the opponent and reduce their special defense. The thing to remember about fear, though, is it isn't the opposite of courage. As much as we praise the so-called fearless, those who fight on despite it are the bravest of all. It isn't easy by any stretch, but I have faith in you, and wish you the best of luck on your journey!" (Low levels are because, as per tradition, I'd be the 4th gym leader.)
