Champ10
I may have posted this in the wrong section, but I've been wanting to post this for a while. I've been wanting to start a mono type run recently since they seem really fun and like a good experience, the only problem though is that I don't know what type to choose. I would more or less be fine with any type and I am really curious to hear everyone's opinions on what type my mono type run should be. Thanks for the replies in advance! Seel The Deal
Fairy is very fun, once you're past the initial nightmare that is Julia (Brionne and Jigglypuff for an electric leader...) but definitely is far from the hardest. Normal is arguably the easiest type but lets you explore a good few 'mons you would absolutely never use, even in Reborn. I could see Fighting, Psychic and Flying being super fun, too, but I haven't messed with those types.
Node15
Not really a mono run but did a run where I had to use Noel's team beat the game btw: Yes I had to catch each of them legitamately no trading or debug mode was so happy when I finally got Clefairy after Luna. Ryou
I did a mostly Mono-Ice run, and its pretty fun! The early game is quite difficult, but once you get to the later parts, it gets really interesting! (Relying on hail attacks like blizzard with the fields later on add up to some fun interactions.) Another cool one would maybe be Dark but I have yet to try that one out myself! Gentleman Jaggi
Flying and Bug both get a decent variety of Pokémon early on but somewhat struggle with defensive coverage. Ground has somewhat of a slow start with few Pokémon having tot ank through a lot of hits (also Grand Hall Fern is a nightmare), but gets very strong around the midgame. Fire doesn't have too much variety but it's a lot of fun if you like hyper offensive playstyles. Grass gets a lot of variety early on but has to deal with its many weaknesses and the Pulse Tangrowths are a big blocking point if you didn't pick a certain starter. You get to abuse the hell out of Grassy Field from very early on however. Dark is honestly not that interesting unless you really like the availaible mons. Variety is a little low and the Type doesn't offer too much interesting strategic elements.
Super__
I would honestly suggest poison Its not the hardest but its definitely not the easiest. Its really fun with early access to nidoran male (right before Florinia from the game corner) makes the run super fun. I also think that if you want a real challenge I would do the dragon challenge easily being toughest (toughest is an understatement). You rely on treecko if you think about it since mega sceptile is dragon, and on noibat, who is not good in the early game.
Mia789
I did a Psycho & a Normal Mono run and I am at a Ghost one right now. Psycho wasnt hard besides Radomus with his Trick room & Luna was a little tricky but aftr learning her timing not hard. Normal was interesting and the hardest was shade & sadly Hardy for me. Ghost isnt that hard till now besides the early game cause of the lack of Teammembers at the start. But I got lucky with both Eggs. My favorite is still Psycho till now
