V13 New Pokemon Strategies

Just wanted to make a thread where we just come up with different ways to do Pokemon Battles in Rejuv with the new pokemon.

For example: maybe using Galarian Weezing with the ability Neutralizing Gas and Slaking during an important double battle.

Electric/Grassy/Misty/Psychic Surge users with corresponding seeds on them, and/or on partners in Doubles. Really obnoxious would be Rillaboom with Eruption Typhlosion, or a tanky partner who gets boosted defense and Ingrain, especially Rock/Steel types since Surf and Earthquake like moves only do half damage to them.

Also Galarian Stunfisk with Mimicry will be really fun to use, assuming it will change type on every terrain in the game.

The Ape Starter will probably be in the endgame too if you didn't pick it first.

Anyway, perhaps using Arctovish with the Fishious Rend attack in the Nim fight could work? Since you have that Trick Room set up.

devs have confirmed on discord that the official terrains (grassy/psychic/misty/electric) are being separated from the other ones so that the gen8 Surge mons aren't such a problem. Even if you made all of them available super late, Grookey starter would be a problem

Would it though? We already have Blaziken and Greninja, and are about to get what is essentially fire Greninja, so it's not like Grookey would end up being the only viable starter choice.

Grookey would break the game on a fundamental level by turning off terrains in every fight. The others are just really good at what they do.

I'm curious as to what point in game the Galar fossils will be implemented, speed creep and lack of choice items makes Dracovish/zolt less scary than it is normally, and Arctovish/zolt are both insanely strong in Trick Room, but since the TM for that isn't in yet, you're limited to Oranguru and Porygon-Z, but even with these drawbacks they all have an insanely strong stab move

I love them, but they might be a little too strong.

Along the lines of this would be G-Darm, who out-muscles and slays anything in their path that doesn't have priority or is faster than base 95, so we probably won't be seeing the yeti quite yet.

If we get dracovish available its going to be extremely good, since it basically makes any pokemon slower than it completely trivial (unless they have a water immune ability or are like 4x resistant), just like how blissey  invalidates 97% of all special attackers you will face.

Combine Dracovish with t-wave or sticky web support allows it to fight speedier teams. Or you can use baton pass to pass speed boosts, but baton pass is extremely broken no matter what pokemon is the recipient, dracovish or not.

Don't forget about bulky teams that have crest Bastiodon in them. If your one of those guys that can't do a major battle without healing item because your kinda bad at pokemon game that have actual diffuculty (totally did not just describe me) then this boi/gorl will be hella useful

I don't think terrain setters will be overpowered. Sure, their abilities will be powerful, but once an Indeedee created a psychic field, its only an average pokemon with a now useless ability. A Gardevoir, on the other hand, may need a turn to set a psychic field, but then thanks to the Telepathy ability it can outspeed nearly anything and dish out massive damage with its great Sp.Atk stat.

Same for Rillaboom, after creating a field effect its still a good pokemon but very vulnerable due to its low speed. If you think about it, a Rillaboom that sets a grassy field upon entry but then attacks after the enemy is not so different than a Serperior that moves before the enemy to use grassy terrain, then can attack first on the second turn. Rillaboom will be one of the best starters, but I doubt it will be the best

I'd be more concerned byCinderace. Prothean-like ability, overall stats better than Greninja's (much better offensive stat for only 3 points less in speed), and gets a good movepool by leveling and breeding where Greninja heavily relies on TMs we get very late. That thing will likely beat Blaziken as the most broken starter
