That's extremely weird, I feel like then it might have to do with your PC? If you have a pretty dated system/older spec then it might be why it's crashing, if there is no error log then I can't really pinpoint what's happening here outside of this might be a hardware issue.

So in my fight vs. Jarred in the Moltres questline, I've tried changing the field to murkwater water using sludge wave, but whenever it tries to poison any active pokemon the error below appears, seemingly failing to do so. (I've had two poison types out at the time, which may have affected the effect, however even after pressing okay multiple times, the game continued to show similar Error messages and seemingly skipping the end of turn phase, thus also not allowing me to send in another pokemon)

Can confirm this happening, segfault,similar log, also in manjaro, 6.0.7; can't reproduce reliably, it happens when doing an action (had it walking through grass, selecting pokemon, and talking with npcs), but what condition triggers it, no idea.

 

Also, what is zeriab_f12_removal_update in undertale.rb, which seems to be the thing dying?

Ah I think I see, it's one of those thins that modifies behavior on reset. Will try commenting out the override, hopefully it doesn't soft-locks at some point.

Seems to work fine, hopefully it wont break events.

 

Oh well, it still crashes with 'unpatched' Graphics.update, just less often (from 5min to 30 min between crashes). It tended to crash more often  at

Whenever I try to start the quest with Boss in Blackview, I get all the way through the dialogue and then the screen fills up with this box that starts with 'Exception: NoMethodError' and then has a whole list of stuff, like seven lines starting with 'Interpreter', and then 'Scene_Map' and 'Main' and '(eval)'. The game freezes and I have to restart it.

Hi, if you are getting this bug then it's due to your save potentially being older (beta save or something maybe). Anyways chuck this Map into your Data folder and it should be fixed, important note as well, please finish this quest before updating your game again! This is a personal fix and will be overwritten.

I just tried it and it didn't work. And my save isn't older, is the thing- I downloaded the game after E6 came out, around the time patch 4 was released.

On your Desktop, search for "Saved Games", open that folder and then Navigate to "Pokemon Desolation", in there you'll see a bunch of .rxdata files, find the one that says "Game.rxdata" (assuming that is your main save) and drag that into your reply here, then click send!

I'm starting to think that I somehow really fucked something up, because I can't find anything called 'Game.rxdata'. I've found 'Game.exe' and 'Game.ini' but not rxdata.

Firstly, you're not in the correct folder. That is the Game Folder, your save files are in a different folder. Secondly, I feel like you didn't place the map file in the correct folder either, all you gotta do is Download the Map132 file, Navigate to your Pokemon Desolation Folder, Click the Data Folder, then Drag that downloaded Map132 file and drop it into the Data Folder, click Replace current file then boot up your game.

I don't know if it's different for Mac users, but I've looked and there doesn't seem to be a file called Game.rxdata on my Mac. And I'm pretty sure I did put the map file in the correct folder.

Also, the exact same thing happened when I tried to start the storyline where Clarke becomes a Ranger yesterday.

Some Pokemon abilities altered after update

Was not able to relate it with specific pokemon or hidden abilities.
Note the 3 Pikachus. 2 kept their abilities the 3rd lost it.

 

(game updated to latest version 6.0.10)

Hi. Two things to note here real quick. 

 

1) This is a thread for Major/Fatal bugs. This means you only should report bugs here if they hinder your progress in the game aka from a softlock or consistent crashes. This would be more suited for the Minor Bugs thread.

 

2) We have mentioned this before, but incase you are unaware (which is fine!), Due to the change in Engine and how Data is stored from EP5 to EP6, some Pokemon's Abilities have changed, we apologise for this but it's just how it is! You can use ability capsules to edit these.

Just started to play this game yesterday with version 6.0.10 and it's crashing with increasing frequency. There were just 1-2 crashes in the first few areas but now after the first gym badge it's every few minutes. I'm on Fedora Linux. Here is the crash log from running the game from terminal.

Hello! I recently started playing Desolation, and have run into a problem with the quest Majira's Keys. I found the diary containing Majira's First Key, and it was added to my inventory. However, the quest has not updated. I thought perhaps I needed to report my findings to the rangers, but that didn't seem to do anything.
Further notes:
I found the key with 3 shards already in my inventory. I found the last one (Blue Piece) shortly after, before noticing the error.
Apologies if I've missed something, or am posting in the wrong place.
