Major/Fatal Bugs

Right uhhhh, I'll get straight to the point.

My game crashes at three specific sequences.

1. In Blackview when I try to start the teal panther boss quests

2. In Celia North when I try to start the ranger quest, not the one with Clarke, the pre-requisite

3. In Celia Prison when I enter and I'm forced to talk with Ryder

Seems like this isn't a rare issue, and an easy fix at that. I don't expect a fix, just thought to let you know as the third one is locks you out of a pretty big part of cellia.

Update your game. All of these have been patched in updates, game should be 6.0.10

My game crashes and traps me in the battle or constant error loop where regardless of the move I use it does not register. This Happens when:

1. I Summon my Houndoom on the field.
2 I take the Item off of my Houndoom and the game freezes.

This happens before and after I used the PATCH 6.0.12 update. This is a new save I just started.
This issue occurred after the battle in

Spoiler

the Lava cave of Mt.Vejyr  after THAT  Traumatizing event.

For some reason My Houndoom is holding a Data Chip and I have no idea why. Andthe game refuses to let me take it off of her, Making the game crash in the process (Tried taking it off in my party and a Pokémon center PC and it wont remove it either.)

All my other Pokémon are fine. Its only my Houndoom with this issue.
If it was a random mon I wouldn't care, But since Houndoom was my shipwreck rescue starter choice, it Kind of sucks if I could never play it it again on this save.

I Posted My save and error log below

Hi,

I'm playing on Linux and getting sporadic crashes.

The Game crashes becomes unresponsive for ~1 second and then crashes with a Segfault.

It crashed three times so far. The segfault was always at address 0x78.

The crash also always occured in the overworld, not in a battle, but I don't know if it can only occur there, or if I just spend the most time there.

It did not occur in any special area or when speaking to an NPC, it just crashes while I run around.

I have uploaded the crash info, that was printed to the terminal when the Game crashed.

If you want, I can also provide a coredump of the crash.

System Info:
OS: Arch Linux

CPU: Ryzen 1700

GPU: GTX 1060

Some Info from the Coredump:

Hiya, little late to this report I do apologise!

Few questions for you

1) Did your Houndoom evolve in the middle of a battle?

2) Did you start playing on 6.0 and then update to 6.0.12, or did you immediately update to 6.0.12 when you downloaded the base game

To answer your questions.
1. I don't recall when they evolved. But I believe it was after a battle, not during it, Though A few of my mons did evolve in the middle of a battle though. just not sure if my houndoom did aswell.

2. The Glitched happened before the update.
I updated the game after to see if it fixes it. however it did not. The glitch occurred to me both in 6.0 and 6.0.12.

First of all, please do not spam the forum with the bug over and over again. Someone will get to you eventually, I've gone ahead and deleted every other one of your posts because its just spam.

Secondly, this is a converter issue, your file seems to be unable to be properly converted, meaning your save is most likely screwed and you'll have to restart, you can chuck it my way if you wish and I can have a look at it.

Just started today, playing on Mac OS Silicon and the game crashes, a lot. Can't find any specific cause, it'll happen when I start a battle, pick up the potion in the beginning of the game before the forest, just running around. Applied the game and the patch I think, from the 'Additional download for Mac' link. No idea what to do.

Hi,

I recently updated to ep 6 and patched the game afterwards.
Currently I'm "stuck" at Hardened Mountain. When arriving at the top the battle against Hardy isn't triggered:

Hi so, you didn't follow our conversion guidelines. When updating to Episode 6 from an older save you must have completed Episode 5 and save in the Bedroom of the Cellia Manor, that way you can start Episode 6 and go through the ingame conversion, you are stuck due to variables not being aligned properly. I have teleported you back to the Bedroom in the Manor, to continue Episode 6 and not be stuck, please interact with the Bed.

Hey y'all! So, long story short -- the down arrow on my keyboard broke, and I was trying to change the movement controls so I could still move down without using the down arrow. I messed up, and can't move down or to the side because I didn't realize they were already connected to other shortcuts. Normally I would just go back into options and fix that...but now my little in-game menu is frozen, and I can't move my cursor to access "options." I hope that makes sense.

I already tried redownloading the game, and reverting to previous saves -- nothing seems to override the changes I made to the controls, and I still can't move my cursor in the menu, even when using the down arrow on a bluetooth keyboard.

I attached my save file just in case this could be fixed somehow. Thanks so much!

Hey everyone! I recently started the game (like a few days ago), and I have been having an issue where seemingly at random the game has some sort of error and quits. It is fairly sporadic, and isn't at a specific/predictable point (that I have noticed). I can restart the app and play for a bit but it'll still eventually crash.

For some background, I am on mac running Sonoma 14.5, I used the desolation_updater version that just opens up a terminal window and does some sort of process which seems to have updated but I'm not sure how to check what version it is on, and I downloaded and followed the steps for one of the patches (the mac-specific one). The 6.0.12 patch at the bottom of the downloads page just gives me a folder that doesn't have a playable game in it, but on one of my tries downloading it, it gave me some sort of "alias" version of the regular Desolation app? (If it isn't already clear I don't exactly know what I'm doing).

I've attached a few screenshots of the pop-up I got during one of the shut-downs, as well as the Z-universal terminal which I used to open the app one time, and took a screenshot of the point at which it crashed.

I'm not sure if it's my computer or that I messed up downloading (both are definitely possible), but would appreciate any help I can get, I am really enjoying the game so far!

Thanks!

Re install or patch your game again. Both bugs you've reported have already been fixed.
