Reborn On Android, A How-To

Hey hey. It's me, Revan. Long time no see! Now, I'm just gonna get into this one, cause it's incredibly meaty. RPG maker fangames are finally available on mobile, thanks to the absolute god that is Joiplay. 

 

Here's whatcha need:

RPGMaker Plugin

Joiplay

And obviously, the fangame of your choice.

 

Here's a step-by-step:

Download and Install Both APKs

Download and Unzip (VERY IMPORTANT! WON'T WORK WITH A ZIP) the fangame of your choice

Open Joiplay

Add Game

Find the Directory 

Select the EXE

Configure the Controls

 

Notes: Quit Game crashes the whole thing.

Hello.

I would like to play Pokemon Reborn on joiplay. I am not sure what edition of reborn should I download? Windows version for example?

Hi there, so there's two versions of the game that work:

- 18.4.1 (WIndows version) works on some Androids but doesn't work on older models.
- 18.2 is the most stable for Joiplay.

Here's some things to look out for when downloading for Joiplay:
 

- Make sure the folder is extracted properly on your phone.
- Game.exe is the executable for the game that works better for Joiplay.

- Make sure the game is in your phone's internal storage (it throws a wobbly when you try to load the game from an SD card)

The background is all black, can't see any details, only characters. The file was in internal storage, I unzipped it correctly (to the best of my knowledge), and joiplay is working.

What's the difference between 18.4.1 and 18.2? I was just wondering since I don't want to miss anything new. It's been more than two months since I last played reborn after all.

Off the top of my head, these are some of the changes that I know of:
 

• 18.4.1 has a game-z.exe which runs the game on a different engine which makes the game smoother (game.exe still exists)
• 18.4.1 is more accessible to Linux and Mac users
• Lots of essentials code has essentially been tidied up and optimized
• Probably some bug fixes

There's probably more but that's what I can remember off the top of my head.
