Unable to swap between Save Files

So I decided to start a new playthrough on Rejuv my main file is on Slot 2 So I deleted Save File 1 to begin anew. Everything was fine up until I saved, closed the game and attempted to reopen. I am unable to swap between Save Slot 1 and 2. When I do attempt to switch save files and continue I get a critical error. Any ideas on how to fix this? I would like to not lose my main save file as that's my completionist file.

so you always get the critical error?

if you don't want to lose your saved file you can make a backup of it, go in C:\Users\(your computer name)\Saved Games, go in the rejuvenation folder and copy the completionist save file (should be Game.rxdata) to some other folder

 

you could then try to delete every single file (if you care about the other savefile just back it up as well) and reinstall rejuvenation. then just go back to the folder and paste the savefiles back in

 

not entirely sure of how much it'd help, seeing as it's more fit for the troubleshooting section i feel like

So I did what you said made backups, delete files, reinstall rejuv and paste the savefiles back in. So I still get the critical error but it works now? I was on Save Slot 1 went to Slot 2 continue got the critical error, reopened the game and puts me on Slot 2. I press continue and I can now play the file again. The same thing happens if I go from Slot 2 to 1. Every time I want to switch Save Slots I get the critical error well at least now the game is playable I guess.

save slot 2 means it's Game_2.rxdata, Game.rxdata would be slot 1

 

also you don't have to do anything to your save files when you reinstall the game, since they are in seperate folders nothing will happen to the save files

you don't even need to delete your old game folder, just extract the game in a differently named folder and try starting the game from there before you do anything to your old files

I'm not that knowledgeable on what the error messages mean, but it might be that your save file got corrupted. Try removing Game.rxdata from your save file folder and then start the game and try to switch the save slot

I tried that removing Game.rxdata from my save file folder, start the game and try to switch save slot no I still get the critical error guess my save file did get corrupted then which really sucks.

happens sometimes to me as well. you just get used to it unfortunately lol

Yeah Ima just have to get used to it time to ignore the critical error and assume nothing will ever go wrong lol
