Thielt
Trying to decide on my final poke to complete my team. Currently the plan is: Swampert - Bulky, physical tank Gardevoir - Psuedo special tank / sweeper MIsmagius - Fast utility (Destiny Bond / Pain Split / Confuse Ray) Luxray - Physical sweeper Ninetales - Nasty plot sweeper Now I'm looking for a fast, physical sweeper, as Luxray is not the fastest of creatures. Considering I have Ninetales, sun will be up, making chlorophyll look very good. Leavanny - Higher base attack / defenses, poor offensive coverage (Bug and Grass is really all she gets), poor defensive typing (Bug / Grass T_T) obtainable somewhat early. Sawbuck - Higher base speed / health, doable offensive coverage (Bug, Grass, Fighting, Dark, Normal STAB), decent defensive typing (really just a Grass type weak to fighting and immune to Ghost) Leanng towards Leavanny, as she is obtainable alot earlier. Just wanted to hear the inputs of other players. Also open to other suggestions, such as Leafeon (turned down for poor offensive coverage), though please back it up with some info. ShatteredSkys
Personally I would go with Sawsbuck, it has much better coverage with jump kick, megahorn, horn leach, it's typing is slightly better it has one more resistance and one more immunity. But, leavanny is probably the better sweeper because of swords dance unless your going against steel or ice types. The only real other physical, grass sweeper that uses chlorophyll is victerybell though he's more of a mixed attacker and shiftry whos more of a special sweeper Edited September 20, 2013 by ShatteredSkys
Khayoz
If you wait for the DW abilities to be fixed, then you should go for Sawsbuck. Serene Grace, that is all.

Does Swasbuck have a decent set of moves to take advantage of Serene Grace? Nature Power and Rock Smash? Can it learn Bounce through tutor? If it can, then my Zebstrika needs fixing cause he can't learn Bounce

LeoG
Okay, I chose Sawsbuck because I like Sawsbucks. Happy now? It was a serious question. I haven't played Black/White at all. I only recently started getting back into Pokemon after watching LPs of Reborn. I watched the anime too but don't know much about the new Pokemon. I've never trained a Sawsbuck myself and only tried a Blitzle/Zebstrika cause it was in the anime
Khayoz
It was a serious question. *serious face* Sawsbuck CAN learn Bounce, but it is via Move Tutor only, and since that's not in Reborn yet... To be fair if you have a Drought Ninetales, just go for Chlorophyll. Edited September 21, 2013 by Khayoz
Bereft
If Sawsbuck's Serene Grace worked, definitely go for it, but Leavanny seems like the better choice at the moment. Any pokemon that checks Leavanny, another pokemon from your team can easily take it down so typing isn't really a factor here
