ShatteredSkys
So pretty much review a pokemon that you used during your play through of reborn a x/10 scale, please leave reasons why you rated the pokemon that way, and how it has helped you during your play through. I guess I'll set the bar. Sprites: http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/blackwhite_bwa.html Spiritomb 8/10 I originally planned on getting spiritomb mainly for a another wall and for it's curse since toxic had no affect on Aya's team, but what I never realized about spiritomb was it had very strong offense too. Spiritomb has kind of meh stats, its sp atk and atk are at 92 while it's defense are ok though at a decent 108 but it's hp is pretty bad at 50 and it has horrendous 35 base speed. But spiritomb makes up a bit for this with this with its amazing typing ghost/dark which gives it no weaknesses and three immunities. It's movepool is also pretty good, spiritomb gets access to sucker punch which helps make up for it's speed, nasty plot which lets it become a potent sp attacker, and hypnosis which compliments nasty plot very well. Ever since I added mine to my team its be a huge part in every battle afterwards. With hypnosis and nasty plot it managed to sweep Aya's team, it and my arcanine also managed to take out Serra's team, and with a dark gem it one shot the lvl 100 PULSE abra. Also it walls Noel's clefable really well. But as mentioned earlier spiritomb's stats are kind of meh and it does't hit as hard as other ghosts. So overall I give I'll give Spiritomb a 8/10 its a good pokemon if your looking for a mixed bulky attacker. Sorry for my weird writing, writing reviews has never been my forte lol Edited September 21, 2013 by ShatteredSkys
LeoG
All my Pokemon are 10/10! Really, when I play Pokemon, I tend to build a personal bond with my Pokemon...probably my roleplayer side who would put himself in the shoes of the actual character sprite. But if I were changing my 'review' of my Pokemon on my team instead to a 'grade' as if I were their trainer and evaluating their performance in the game (not necessarily their usefulness overall or meta-effectiveness across the game as a whole)... Grade: B+ (8.5/10) Performance: Effective defensive sweeper Evaluation: Surpasses expectations Notes: I was not expecting my Noctowl to be quite as sturdy as he was. In the past when training Noctowls, they felt very similar to other bird pokemon but with a few psychic moves thrown in. When my Noctowl tried using Confusion and (recently) Extrasensory, I was...disappointed. It's a very ineffective attack for him, even with type advantage and his moderate Sp. Att. Changing my expectations to better take advantage of his strengths, he's worked very well against higher level foes quite well with his staple attack, Echoed Voice with some simple set-up. Reflect and above average HP helps cover his lower Def until he builds an echo and ever since making a joke of Serra's son with a -5 level disadvantage, he's grown more boastful and more aggressive than expected of his nature. The team he was a part of shifted quite drastically due to his unexpected performance and I don't regret the effort put into his training.
