Starter choice

So my save file got corrupted(somehow) and im starting a new game

i narrowed my starter options to two

chesnaught and greninja (im not using torchic because its a crutch)

 

Im leaning towards chesnaught cuz of leech seed strats and bulk

but greninja has protean

 

what do u guys think

If you're not using Torchic because it's a crutch then you probably shouldn't use Greninja either, since you can argue that it's a crutch in its own right.

 

So out of those two I'd go Chesnaught, but it probably won't be very useful in the early game and is a steep drop-off from the other two you mentioned

Eh, Blaziken can blast through most of Reborn, Greninja has a few weak points still I would say and is also weaker early game, even Torchic gets really useful at the first gym.
