Grookey might be good with Grassy Surge. Grookey, being a grounded pokemon, has advantage of using Grass type moves but it becomes more weaker than before to be hit by a Fire type move. So Scorbunny may have truly the upper hand by using Fire type move. Plus Scorbunny has a bit much speed than Grookey (mostly with Jolly nature). So Scorbunny will attack first before Grookey can act. And between movepool, Scorbunny has many types of moves than Grookey, much less having the ability Libero.

Grookey struggles a bit early game with venam and not really getting better until valerie and even then it cant take more then 1 hit but it being able to bully primarina if switched in safely makes it quite a threat it gets destroyed by crawily , angie  and amber while it does demolish erick if you give grassy glide it is pretty much useless against flora or florin, Puppet master blocks rillas grassy g with psychic terrain and souta destroys it and if you can switch the field for adam its great but if you cant it will be a burden. It does manhandle ryland.

 

Scorbunny does decent with venam decent against keta and marianette cause of libero double kick it does below average against narcissa and is useless against valerie but ok and meh against crawli cause of rain its super good against angie especially if you egg move it hjk its meh against amber but maybe you can okho smt frail if you got hjk. its meh against erick but is ok against flora and bad against florin again because of the rain. Its quite good again puppet master. Its meh against souta but can put in the work against adam due to the field and garbage against ryland
