The top of the Strange ball on Lupus's belt went white again for a split second before Lobo let himself out. The Houndoom take form out of the brilliant white light the came from the ball. He stood confidently, with his head held high, as he stared at the Luxray, his eyes full of competitive fire.

"Looks like I have no choice but to battle you, because If I say no, Lobo is probably just going to say yes himself." Said Lupus with a giant grin on his face. "A friendly match then."

Lobo looked ready, he was looking forward to the battle with Kael and her trainer. Been awhile since he could relax and just spew some flames. He let off a flamethrower into the air, as if he was saying he was ready.

Kaine smirked and hopped down from the statue, sparks crackling in her mane as she stretched her limbs. Kael chuckled softly and sat his guitar aside before hopping down beside his partner. "Ladies first." the trainer said in a playfully snarky voice as Kaine circled Lobo with a grin, sizing up her opponent. The tip of her tail began to glow a bright white, and her pelt crackled with electricity. "Kaine, use Iron Tail!" Kael called out, and the luxray rushed forward before leaping into the air and lashing downward with her glowing tail, aiming for Lobo's flank.

Kaine narrowed her eyes and growled as the pulse hit her right in the face, digging her claws into the moist earth so that she could withstand the blow. "You alright, Kaine?" Kael called out to her. "Lux! Luxray!" the pokemon grunted back as she shook her head, refocusing her eyes on Lobo. "Good." Kael thought to himself for a moment. Hmmm, this weather is perfect for a thunder attack. But I don't want to hurt Lupus's Lobo too bad. He pondered as his luxray leapt back from the houndoom, giving herself some distance from her foe. "Kaine, use Charge Beam." Her trainer instructed and Kaine braced her paws as her body began to glow with energy. Suddenly, she parted her teeth and a powerful beam of electricity burst from her jaws, straight at Lobo.

The beam hit Lobo square in the face, but it wasn't terrible damage at least. He got to his feet quickly. however the Houndoom was starting to have misgivings. He no longer wanted to fight this fight. He didn't want to hurt Kaine, you see Lobo had a bit of a crush. He was a bit of the hopeless romantic type. He devised a plan to get around having to do this, but he would need to fight convincingly enough that neither trainer suspected anything, and especially that his love didn't figure out he went easy on her. Lobo would need to take other hit before he pulled off his grand finale.

Lupus knew it was raining, he had to use a more powerful Fire attack then Flamethrower for it to do anything of note. He deicided to have Lobo charge in and get close to have less chance of missing the Fire Blast.

"Lobo, Crunch!" Lobo got what he wanted. He figured his master would do this. Now to make a good show.

Lobo Dashed towards the Luxray with surprising speed. His Form was very graceful, as his lithe body seemed to fly through the air. He aimed at the Luxray's midriff as to make it look like he was aiming for the head. He beared his fangs, a bit of black smoke billowed out of his mouth as he moved in to strike.

"Dodge it!" Kael commanded, and Kaine rolled out of the way just in time for Lobo to go barreling past her. "get him with a Thunder Fang!" her trainer cheered, and Kaine's jaws started to glow and shoot sparks everywhere. Lunging forward, the luxray sank her electrified fangs into the scruff of Lobo's neck, shaking her head back and forth with a playful growl.

Lobo was happy she dodged him, but now he had to get her off of him. He heaved the Luxray off himself as he went for the grand finale to his plan. Lupus always thought of him as a bit of a show-off, so it was time to live up to that.

Lobo Jumped up onto the statue after getting away form the Luxray. He Jumped and started to do a corkscrew midair. He leased a powerful Fire Blast that spun the same direction as his corkscrew. It rotated quickly and looked impossible to dodge, if not for the fact that Lobo planned it to miss. If the Luxray didn't move too much the spokes of the flaming X would miss her entirely. Lobo would have admired his craftsmenship if he didn't have to look convincing. He crashed to the ground, not badly hurt but panting a bit as the Flame Blast sped towards Kaine, spinning madly in a beautiful dance of flames.

Pressing herself to the ground, the luxray gathered her energy in her haunches before suddenly leaping high into the air, right over the fire blast as though she were a lion leaping through a flaming hoop. "Great Job Kaine, now finish him off with another thunder fang!" Kael called to his luxray. Kaine's fangs began to glow again as she bounded toward the houndoom at top speed. But just as she was about to attack, she stopped just inches from his neck and closed her mouth. Smirking playfully, she instead lightly lapped her tongue against Lobo's cheek, the electricity stored up in her mouth causing the houndoom's fur to stand on end in a comical manner. Kael chuckled in approval of his luxray, knowing that she didn't want to make Lobo completely faint. "Well, that's checkmate then." Kael said with a smile as Kaine rubbed her face up against Lobo's cheek with a purr rumbling in the depths of her throat, her tail coiling with his.

Lobo was pretty happy knowing Kaine stopped her attack from him, and it definitely showed on his face, since his big dumb grin reappeared.

Lupus laughed heartily. "That was a pretty great battle." He said a big smile on his face. "Lobo tends to get a bit crazy in battles that are for fun. He has a real sense for the dramatic". Lupus thought about telling his tale to Kael at this moment, however he decided to wait, he didn't want to spoil the moment at hand. He figured he could tell him anytime.

He went back to the spot under the statue where he had been standing before. "I wonder what is going on with the others..." He said as he looked at the sky with his one good eye. "I could care less about Josh and the Serial Killer we have on our hands here. I wonder if they gave into the wanton destruction of life that Aeon has." He let out a big sigh "I hope the rest of our teammates are made of things better than deceit and recklessness."

"Oh, t-this must be it." Miki commented as she, Raito, Sarcus and Absolution stood in front of an imposing door. Compared to the rest of the cell doors, this one had a particular flair to it that screams authority. It seems to be made of a dark-red mahogany tree etched with fancy designs with the three deities of Sinnoh in the middle of it all: Dialga and Palkia stood at the sides looking up at Arceus, their creator. Miki would have been impressed by the intricate details if it weren't for the fact that Arceus is now controlled by their enemy. Her eyes then ran to the top of the door; there were 4 little holes that would make a perfect fitting place for a plaque. Miki gave a grin despite her nervousness. "I guess Team Dusk did away with this place. I wonder whose office this belonged to." She tore her eyes off of the door to face the others.

"S-So, Sarcus and co, shall we?" Without waiting for a response, Miki knocked on the door. "S-Sorry to interrupt, but i-is Silver here?"

Sarcus silently nodded acquiescence, as he bent closer to the door to study the carvings. They were quite intricate, and one rarely found something like this. He ran his fingers over the craftsmanship, exploring each line. It was an extremely good representation, judging by all of the images he had seen. "But where is Giratina?" he wondered out loud.

Miki took a step back to examine the mahogany door once more. Sure enough, as Sarcus mentioned, there was no sign of Arceus' counterpart anywhere. There was no space left on the door for Giratina's figure to be represented. Surely, even the Goddess isn't that ignorant to not know of the serpentine of the underworld. Giratina is always mentioned in mythology, especially those of Sinnoh. To Miki, it can only mean one thing. She turned to Sarcus to voice her opinion.

"Nowhere. I-I think Dawn purposely left Giratina out... B-Because G-Giratina represents us."

Suddenly, the door to Silver's office opened, and the two trainers were now face to face with Silver himself, who was sporting a tiny smile. Apparently he had been able to hear their small conversation through the walls of his office.

" Pretty astute observation there, and I'd say you're absolutely right. The church sees themselves as God, while anyone against the church is knocked down to the shadows. Hence why our name is Team Dusk. Anyway." Silver paused for a moment to look straight at Miki.

" I can only assume that you have your answer now?"

Seeing as Silver is not going to budge from his position, Miki steeled herself for her response. She was hoping that they can discuss this in a more comfortable room, but Silver's decision did make sense. Who would want an outsider to know about their base?

Raito came up and gave Miki's right hand a comforting nudge. Miki smiled at the Jolteon sitting at her feet before facing the leader of the Dusk's Covert Ops. "It's now or never." She took a deep breath and nodded in Silver's direction.

"Yes, I have made my d-decision. B-But before I say it, I-I do want to say a f-few things. First off, I want to thank you... F-For those Shuca berries. I know that they are r-rare to come by and by g-giving them to me, Dusk c-could be at a d-disadvantage at some point in time. A-And thank you for taking c-care of Raito while I-I was away. It really means the world to me.The second thing is... Well, I-I want to say you're right. I am, indeed, a risk factor. Back there, a-at the interrogation, I shouldn't have done what I have done. I was f-foolish and, perhaps m-most importantly, I underestimated my partner. I n-never took into account my Pokemon's desire to end this hellhole we are in. This desire, I feel, is what can m-make all of the difference in a b-battle. In my t-three years of hiding and isolation after Dawn drove us out of our h-home, I had r-relied on s-statistics to win a fight, but I had forgotten to f-factor our will to decide a victory. In a s-sense, I became a robot. A-And that will not do at all, since I am a human. Sarcus, Flux, and you made me realize my flaws and I'm r-really grateful."

Miki paused for a brief moment as Raito stood up and face Silver. It's time to wrap this up, and her Jolteon knew it. Her voice grew steady as she passed her final decision.

"I know that I need to a-assimilate myself back into the world and f-face the threat that my parents tried to save me from. A-And to that, I need to be a-around other people... That is, people that I can trust. You, and the members of Team Dusk, are all that I have left. I want to make a better future for everyone, a future where trainers, and even ordinary citizens, can live in peace without the threat of a tyrannical Goddess. And I know it will not be easy. Raito and I know that there will be sacrifices along the way, sacrifices that will force me to lose my loved ones in order to protect Team Dusk's mission. We are willing to do that and anything else that is required of us."

She offered a handshake to Silver. "I know I have a lot to learn outside of books. And I know you are taking a risk by accepting me. I can definitely assure you, though, I can learn quick. I will make sure that the risk you are taking is worth it. And with that, I am honored to accept your invitation to join Team Dusk."

After Miki's response to his question, a small smile formed on Silver's face as he lightly chuckled and brushed a lock of hair out of his face.

"Very well said. I can see that you've sincerely thought about this and are dedicated to our cause. I'm glad to hear you've found your resolve. Welcome to Team Dusk then, Miki." He said as he accepted Miki's handshake with gusto.

After a moment, he broke the shake and looked at the two again, smile disappearing.

"Now that you've all decided to join the cause, I've got news. From this moment on, you two alongside Flux will be operating as a Covert Ops Squad under my command. Currently we're awaiting results from Unit 1 before beginning our mission. I'll round you all up with mission details when it's time,so be on alert and ready. Inform Flux of this as well. Until then, you're dismissed." Silver said, speaking in a commanding tone to the two newly-cristened squad members.

"With your permission, I have one last question. Could I get my knives back? I've seen what happens when a Trainer cannot defend themself against attacks, and I'd rather not have it happen to me." He knew he probably sounded a bit arrogant, but he didn't particularly care. "Thank you, by the way, for this opportunity."

After her leader gave them his first instructions, Miki instinctively bowed as a sign of her appreciation. Inside, she was elated to be working alongside Sarcus and Flux because they are two familiar people that she knew since she has been out from her hidden home. Although she doesn't mind meeting new people, Miki didn't want to overwhelm herself just yet. Two people are good enough for now.

Miki decided to stay with Sarcus before leaving to find Flux. The trainer is quite curious about those knives that Sarcus mentioned. Maybe she could ask Sarcus to show them off in their spare time. She positioned herself on the side of the wall and gave them some space, just in case she wasn't allowed to listen in on the upcoming conversation. Miki then waved Raito over to respect their privacy.

Silver only looked at Sarcus before nodding.

"You're right, it's always good to have a little backup insurance. Your knives are in the weapons room around here. Just take your knives only, the rest is for emergencies."

He gave Silver a respectful nod. "Thank you." He started to turn away. "I'll be training with Absolution if you need me," he said over his shoulder. "Miki, do you want to come with me, or find Flux first? If you come with me, I'll locate him after I stop by the weapons room, and then go train. Raito looks like he could use the training; he's got a lot of energy to burn."

"I think--" Before Miki could finish her response, Raito darted by the two trainers and ran off in the direction of, what she assumes to be, the weapons room. "Looks I have no choice but to follow you then!" she laughed. "And, b-besides, we need to find the t-training room too. Four pairs of eyes a-are better than just two."

As the two trainers and Absolution head to the weapons room, the lights above flickered for a second. Miki heard a small chuckle just ahead. Raito's trainer suddenly recalled that he had eaten a Tamato berry when they met up again, which would explain a slight, almost unnoticeable, decrease in the Jolteon's agility. She would have to help her Jolteon get back up to speed, no pun intended, before their mission begins.

"Raito," she called after him, "Get away from that outlet! You can cause a blackout when we get to an enemy conclave, not here!" She turned to the duo to explain. "A little training definitely would not hurt; Raito gets too restless if he has built up too much electricity. Plus, it will keep his mind away from his bad habit. He loves investigating electrical outlets since he was an Eevee."

Sarcus jogged to the weapons room, nearly being knocked off of his feet when Raito darted past him. "Someone's excited." He continued into the weapon room. The two blades were fairly easy to spot, resting on top of a table. I'll have to find a whetstone for them. I left my tools behind when I went to Eterna. He examined the knives carefully, checking for any damage or corrosion they had occurred. The two knives were exceptionally sharp, since he spent much of his free time caring for them. They appeared fairly simple, but were made of an incredibly strong alloy that he had researched himself, with a little help from some of his online friends. It had been expensive, but the peace of mind it had granted him had been worth it. The metal was a bluish gray, strikingly similar to the color of his eyes, but it shined in a variety of colors if the light hit it at the right angle. The guards were simple, but molded for both aerodynamics and his grip.

Once he was satisfied that no harm had come to the blades, he slipped them up his sleeves, into their sheaths. Sarcus started when he realized that he had been standing there for a good five minutes. "Err. . . sorry about that. Let's go find Flux." He turned away abashedly, and started to walk back to the room with the healing machine.

Kael nodded his head, "I swear, those two are going to be in so much trouble with Lucas when we get back to base." he sighed heavily as Kaine disappeared into a black haze and returned to her dusk ball. The trainer turned to his friend, "We should probably go heal our pokemon up at the center; it wouldn't do for us to be caught by a church member with weakened pokemon." Kael spoke quietly, lightly tossing his dusk ball from glove to glove.

Miki glanced at the blades that Sarcus is holding before he put them into his sleeves. They seemed like ordinary kitchen knives to her, why is he so keen on getting them back? But then again, she is no expert on knives, nor on any weapon for that matter. She focused her eyes on the abundant shelves full of knives, swords, and guns. Team Dusk definitely hit the mother-load of weapons with the capture of Eterna City. It made her wonder if she should pick up one weapon just in case she could not run. It wouldn't hurt to try but, considering her thin frame, the only things that she can lift easily would probably be a knife or two, or a small handgun.

"Err. . . sorry about that. Let's go find Flux."

"Mhm," Miki nodded, "We probably have been gone long enough." She walked quickly after him and closed the door to the weapons room. Raito, in his hyper state, ran swiftly to the healing room once more without a word to any one of them. "Let's hope there are people that are willing to battle once we get there," she thought. "Maybe those breeders...?"

Jory looked around him. He'd lost track of his team what seemed like hours ago and he was still only on the third floor of the four-floor building. He looked down at Shredder, his Zangoose. The Pokemon was battered and breathing heavily, but otherwise okay. Around him were a bunch of acolytes caring for their Pokemon after Jory had defeated them in battle. He'd been a little more than upset with himself when he'd remembered Lucas's instructions. Color must be rubbing off on me, he thought sarcastically to himself. He walked up to an acolyte caring for her Magneton and put his hand out. She looked up at him, confused, but quickly realized he wanted the Hyper Potion in her hand. She gulped and handed it to him. He gave her a quick smile, then applied it to his Zangoose's wounds. They had battled over twenty separate acolytes at this point and the trainers only got stronger as Jory and Shredder were progressing up the condominium complex. Luckily, Color's rampage had not reached the third floor or upward.

Jory sighed and beckoned for Shredder to follow him toward the stairs. As the pair continued upward, the air became more humid. It seemed thicker, and as Jory's shoes began to glide silently over the moss on the floor he realized that the entire fourth floor had been turned into a jungle! There were exotic plants everywhere. The ceiling, if it still existed, was completely blocked out by the canopy of the jungle. Small Bug-types like Spinarak and Paras were visible on tree trunks and on branches. A flock of Chatot burst from a tree in a cacophony of radio talk show chatter and TV jingles. Suddenly, all the sounds of nature ceased. Branches snapped in the distance, slowly getting closer to Jory. He and Shredder stood facing the sound, ready to take on whatever was approaching.

Suddenly, a deafening crack came from the tree in front of them. A horizontal gash tore through the tree, leaving the top suspended in the air for what felt like an eternity. Then it fell, crashing into the jungle to its left. Behind the trunk was the most vicious-looking Pinsir that Jory had ever seen. Next to the Pinsir stood a middle-aged woman in a Conclave Mother's ceremonial garb. She gingerly stepped over the roots of the slaughtered tree and into full view, presenting herself for battle.

"It's remarkable that you've made it this far, dearie. But I'm afraid that I can't quite allow you to defeat me. After all, we can't have some dirty rebels in charge!" she said happily. "My name is Penny! Now let's get to the battling part. Pinsir, dearest, use X-Scissor!" she commanded. Her Pinsir lunged forward, closing the distance between himself and shredder at an alarming rate.

"Shredder, Detect!" Jory shouted. Shredder's eye gleamed just as Penny's Pinsir was closing to strike the first and last blow. Shredder sidestepped the charging Bug-type, allowing it to zoom past. "Now use Swords Dance!" Jory commanded. Phantasmal swords crossed above Shredder's head and he looked up, swinging his claws.

"Keep up the attack, Pinsir! Use Quick Attack!" Penny ordered. A white trail appeared behind her Pinsir as it quickly came back around and struck Shredder at top speed. Jory's Zangoose was knocked back but landed on his feet. He did not appear injured.

"Shredder, use Fire Punch!" was Jory's next order to Shredder. He sprang toward Penny's Pinsir and swung a flame-cloaked fist. It connected with incredible effect, sending the Bug-type flying backward. It didn't get up, signaling that it could no longer battle.

"Fine, you may not be as weak as I thought, dearie. Go, Carnivine!" the Mother shouted. She laughed as she released her Carnivine from its ball. It hissed at Shredder and flew directly toward him. "Carnivine, use Power Whip!" the Mother ordered.

"Shredder, Detect again!" Jory countered. Once again, Shredder managed to dodge his opponent's attack with relative ease. "Now Shredder, Fire Punch!" Jory continued, chaining together the two commands. Shredder nodded and immediately leapt at Penny's Carnivine.

"Carnivine, use Sludge Bomb!" Penny shouted. The plant Pokemon opened its gaping maw and released a blast of toxic sludge at the fast-approaching Zangoose. It hit directly, causing Shredder to go down.

"Shredder! Buddy, are you okay?" Jory asked as he ran toward his Pokemon. Suddenly the Zangoose twitched and its eyes opened. They were a deeper red than usual- blood red- and an aura of power radiated from Shredder.

"ZAN-GOOOOOOOOSE~!!!" he roared. His paw caught fire once more and he charged at Carnivine once more.

"Carnivine, Sludge Bomb!" the Conclave Mother ordered once more. Carnivine released its Sludge Bomb at Shredder once again. This time, however, Shredder swung his fist at the malodorous projectile. It detonated, sending goop everywhere. Despite this, Shredder was fast approaching Carnivine. He leapt up and delivered an explosive Fire Punch, sending Carnivine in a smoking trail into the tree behind Penny. It slumped to the ground, clearly unable to battle anymore. Shredder winced and then roared at Penny again.

"Ah, Toxic Boost," Penny noted. "Well my snookums isn't going to like that very much, are we, Chanterelle? Go!" she shouted throwing a Net Ball high into the air. It burst open in a flash of light. The beams coalesced into a solid form, which turned out to be a Parasect. "Chanterelle, use Venoshock!"

The Parasect fired a blast of corrosive purple liquid at Shredder. He jumped out of the way just as it arrived. In the place where the attack hit, the forest floor was dissolved immediately by the poison. Chanterelle continued to fire Venoshocks at Shredder, each one landing closer than the last. Finally, one got too close.

"Detect!" Jory shouted. Shredder moved incredibly quickly out of the way of the acid, landing just next to it. "Now, use Quick Attack to close in and finish it with Fire Punch!" Shredder nodded and looked at the Parasect. Shredder was breathing heavily but he began moving forward faster and faster on all fours, a white trail blazing behind him as he darted between blasts of the Parasect's Venoshock. Narrowly avoiding the last one, the Zangoose took his last few steps and delivered a devastating Fire Punch to the Bug/Grass type. It fainted immediately and Penny ran to it, crying out in shock that she had lost.

Jory moved up behind her and zip-tied her hands together and searched her for listening devices, then began to propel her down the stairs toward the exit. He'd finished his squad's mission and defeated the Conclave Mother. He returned Shredder to his Premiere Ball for some well-earned rest, then headed to the statue to rendezvous with the rest of the team. He grinned when he saw Kael and Lupus. At least some of the team had survived the ordeal.

Squad 3 (Cont. for Pokelord from Rin's perspective)

"I have to admit you are first opponent I fought that should be a challenge"

Hmm, if she wanted a really challenge I'm right here. Seeing Gardevoir finishing off Hydreigon with another Moonblast made Rin think This seems wayyyyy to easy, why would this lady even use a Hydreigon against a fairy type. And with Hydreigon finished off the Conclave Mother returns it to it's Pokeball and soon a church member whispered in her ear something, only to response with, "Yes good my last two should get rid of this pest." She then turned her head towards Daniel, proclaiming, " Well dear it would seem that the new typing isn't information I've yet to memorize, but all is well as one of the members has reminded me of all I need to know about the Fairy type, and I know the next one I use won't be having much of a difficultly defeating that Fairy type. Now, come forth, Torkoal," and from its ball Torkoal came out with steam covering its entire body. Wonder what this thing can do?

"Gardevoir, a Psychic if you would," Daniel commanded Gardevoir

"Torkoal, Smokescreen please." Soon the entire ground floor seemed to disappear and we were unable to see. Ugg sneak bitch, what the hell is gonna do?

"Gardevoir can you still sense them," Rin heard Daniel talking."Alright then use a Psychic there. Huh, what's wrong, did we not hit? But Torkoals are slow how could we have miss?"

Soon the smokescreen lifted and we see only the Conclave Mother and her Torkoal, and with no hesitation Daniel yelled, "Psychic once more Gardevoir."

"Dodge it," replied the Mother. And with speed as fast as a Accelgor the Torkoal moved aside dodging the Psychic. How the hell did a slow ass Torkoal dodge that fast? Soon the Mother said with enjoyment from her mouth, "You see the smokescreen was only used for two purposes, the most important one being so my Torkoal can set up some Shell Smashes, and now it can out speed anything you got. Don't you find it ironic that one of the slowest Pokemon would be able to out speed all of you?"

Then looking back at the Torkoal it got hit with a Psychic only to be noticed by the Mother after it happened. "How rude of you to attack my Pokemon while I was talking, No matter my darling can still take quick care of you, now Torkoal, Fire Blast!"

"Gardevoir, Teleport away from-" but Gardevoir was hit before he could even finish. And to make matters worst she was inflicted with burn.

"Now it's only a matter of time before your Pokemon faints, whether I choose to attack or not. Oh how that Gardevoir was a problem but now-" Looking back at Gardevoir it was getting ready to use another Psychic, but the Mother was smart this time and noticed it before it happened. "Torkoal, dodge it and Return the favor." Barely dodging the Psychic Torkoal ran up to Gardevoir and used Return on her, which ended up finishing her.

"No, Gardevoir! Return." Daniel returned her to her ball with a look of sadness upon his face. "So I just in the end you still couldn't avenge your family. Now then, since that's out of the way, which one of you two would like to try and take us on." I guess it's my time to shine and- "Let me Rin," Bereft said to her putting his hand on her shoulder, "I got a way to counter her don't worry, and I believe Pearl calmed down enough to battle." "Fine," Rin replied to Bereft," lets see what you got."

"Ah, so your the next victim, you and your Espeon was it?"

"That's right," Bereft yelled," and it will be I who will defeat your Torkoal."

"Oh, I'd like to see you try."

"As you wish, Pearl Psych Up."

"Well then it seems you copied Torkoal's Shell Smashes, no matter Torkoal Return it!"

"Pearl dodge and Psyshock it!"

Soon it was a showdown of speed as it was impossible to see both of them move at the same time. One second they're over to the left and the next to the right. After just a minute of the speed war both Pokemon seemed tired and the Trainers as well.

"Pearl, Psyshock once more."

"Now Torkoal Endure it!"

Then with only one health left Torkoal stands with a ready look on its face.

"Pearl, finish it with-"

"They're dead," the Mother said to Bereft, stopping him in the moment of victory.

"Wh-what do you mean by they?"

"Your precious wife and daughter, dead."

"N-no, they can't be, I know they're out there looking for me as I for them."

"Must I show proof to prove it to you?"

"You can't because they're not-"

The mother soon tossed a Pokeball, which a close to being fainted Gallade popped out of next to Torkoal. Then seeing Bereft fall to the ground with his hands over his face he cried out, "No, it can't be, that Gallade, it can't be."

"But it is, your welcome to take it if you wish, but I must warn you that there's a reason why there's no one but us here."

Walking slowly to Gallade he held his arms open with his Espeon waiting behind him calling out to him. When he finally reached Gallade the Mother grinned and said," Ditto, come back." Then Gallade turned to a pink jelly and rushed back to the Mother.

"Wait, so that means they aren't dead?"

Then the Mother started laughing and replied to him, "Of course they're dead, why would I have the Gallade if there is no more proof of their existence! My Ditto just remembered the pathetic look on that Pokemon's face before it got obliterated trying to save the little baby right after the mother died!"

All Bereft could do was fall on his knees and cry, but with a strange look on the Mother's face after calming down she told him in a soothing voice, "Oh, but don't worry, you can soon reunite with them, Torkoal, Explosion."

Soon the Torkoal blew up, with Bereft along with it. The explosion was strong enough to damage Drapion a little as it protected Rin, but when she turned her head she remembered Daniel who had no Pokemon left to defend him from the explosion was standing defenseless, and as Rin extended her hand to grab him, he was blown back from the force of the explosion, hitting a nearby building. After the explosion with the Torkoal lying down next to the ashes that is Bereft Rin ran to check on Daniel. "Hey, are you alright," she said to him, and then again loudly in his ear. "Shit, his unconscious." Looking back at the explosion Rin saw Pearl lying there too, but slowly it tried to pick itself up and tried to get to Bereft, but before Pearl could get to him the Mother with a vase gathered all the ashes left and with a member appearing from the door the Mother gave her Bereft, and seeing Espeon crawling towards him she picked her up to and gave her to the member too. The building was apparently still standing with all the members from before inside it, and returning Torkoal to its ball she soon began to explain what just happened.

"Another reason for the Smokescreen was to get everyone inside before the Explosion, which Torkoal knew it would do as a last resort. The building was built to withstand an explosion outside if such a case ever happens."

"You bitch," replied Rin. "Why did you do that to Bereft?!"

"Since he was in so much pain from his family being apart from him I decided to help him relief of that pain, and if he couldn't except it wouldn't it be better off ending his painful life?"

"So why did you collect his ashes then, do you have the ashes of his family too? And why did you take Pearl too huh?"

"Not here but somewhere else. And since that Espeon seemed so well attached to him I thought it be better off with us instead of you." Then she looked around and noticed there was no one but her and Rin left.

"Oh and know it seems your the last of your group, well then I guess it's you and that ogre scorpion against my pride and joy Ditto."
