Tringus
Well, It's been out for a few days in America, and after waiting for 10 months for the game, I finally got it. Some say they're good, some say they're bad. It's up to one hero to explore this new land, and that hero... is me. Chapter I: Prologue It all started when Professor Augustine Sycamore introduced me to the wonderful region of Kalos. He sends out a Skiddo, and says that this world is widely inhabited by creatures known as Pokémon. He then shows me a majestic painting of all kinds of Pokémon. He then asks me if I'm a boy or a girl through two mirrors. I am obviously a guy, so I choose the one on the left. He then asks me what I look like. I choose the middle painting, because I'm me. He then asks me my name. I am a white man named Trevo. He says that I have a fantastic name, and also speaks a little French. He then shows me a huge white gate, and I stumble through it. I then see a scene of a Fletchling flying to my room, and then wakes me up! Stupid Fletchling! I wake up, and I see that I have a HUGE TV, and a black Wii U. It also seems that my dad gave me a laptop too. THANK YOU DAD! I head downstairs, and my mom notices me right away (As always). She notices that I look like I rolled out of bed, and tells me to change out of my pajamas. I WOULD have slept peacefully, but your dumb bird woke me up! I go back upstairs, and put on my clothes, and now look AMAZING. I head downstairs, and Mom tells me to say hello to the neighbors. I then notice the even bigger TV than the one in my room. How is my family so rich? I then proceed to yell at Fletchling before I walk outside, but Mom also tells me not to wake up the pet Rhyhorn. I walk outside, and then I see two tall girls in front of my door! Two Words: All right. The blond girl welcomes me to Vaniville Town, and introduces herself as Serena, who is apparently my next-door neighbor. The girl in pink introduces herself as Shauna, and tells me that they've come to get me! Serena tells me that Professor Sycamore lives here in the Kalos region, and she was told that he has a request for five kids, which includes the three of us. Heck, even I'M surprised that he knows me. I DID just move to Vaniville, after all. Shauna says that they'll wait for me in the next town over, and tells me that we're all going to get... a Pokémon! She tells me to hurry up, and they run off through a gate. At my left, I notice a Rhyhorn. Mom's apparently right about the pet Rhyhorn. I go next door, and find Serena's Mom, and like how my dilemma is, I do not see her Dad. I watch a little bit of TV, then leave. I talk with the rest of the people, then I head out to the next town. I go into Route One, or Vaniville Pathway, which actually leads to the next town, called Aquacorde town. As soon as I get there, Serena and Shauna call me over to their table. Apparently, they were talking about me. Serena says that their table is the meeting place, and introduces me to the gang. She introduces me to the gang, and then the big fat kid says that Shauna's description about me was spot on. Serena says that his name's Tierno, and he's a guy who has some SERIOUS dance moves. She tells me that the short ginger kid's name is Trevor. Trevor's a kid who never misses a single question on his tests, but he's a little shy... WAIT A MINUTE! He has the same name as ME!!! Tierno greets me, and says that maybe we should all have nicknames so it would feel like we're a closer crew. He asks me if he could call me T-Meister, but Shauna objects to this, and says that I'm a Lil' T, for sure. She asks Trevor what HE thinks my nickname for me, but he jumps. He tells her that she shouldn't put people on the spot, and says that maybe something low key like Big T will do. Serena tells me that I should decide what they should call me. All of those choices are fine, but I'd prefer to be called Trev. Shauna says that it's perfect for me, and says that we're going to be great friends, so she'll call me that too. She asks Tierno if we can see the new Pokemon, and he says that it was a cool feeling when he and Trevs met their Pokemon, and hopes that we all feel the same way that they did. He brings out a chest containing three Pokeballs. From left to right, there's Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie. I've been planning this for ten months, and I already know what I'm going to choose. I'm going to choose... Froakie! I name the cute little frog Grimsley. You'll see why I named it Grimsley once it evolves. Shauna chooses Fennekin, while Serena chooses Chespin. She thanks her Chespin, and Trevor has something to say. He says that Professor Sycamore wanted us to have something. Trevor says that he has something that will help us understand Pokemon on a deeper level. He gives each of us a Pokedex, and explains what the Pokedexes do. The reason we each got Pokedexes is because the professor wants all of us to go on a journey with our Pokemon and complete the Pokedex (Like that will ever happen!). Tierno tells Trevor to lighten up, and he gives me a letter from the professor. He tells me that I should give it to my mom. Since they're done with they errands for the professor, he and Trevor run off to catch some Pokemon. Serena says that in Kalos, kids are chosen to carry a Pokedex and go on an adventure. However, I need to give the letter to my mom before I go. As I go back to Vaniville Town to talk to my mom, Shauna stops me. She says that I'm going to be her opponent in a Pokemon battle! Allright! Bring it on! Shauna sends out Fennekin (who is actually a female for once), while I send out Grimsley. I have Grimsley use Bubble, which cuts Fennekin's HP in half. Fennekin uses Ember, which doesn't even do much damage to Grimsley. I finish it off with another Bubble attack from Grimsley, and win the battle. However, just before I win, Grimsley levels up to level 6! Yay! Plus, I even receive 500 Pokemoney for winning. Shauna says that I'm amazing, and just heals Grimsley for me. Isn't that sweet? She tells me to say hi to my mom for her, and she leaves back over to the table. I head back to Vaniville Town, and go back to my house. As soon as I get back to the house, Mom starts questioning me like I did drugs or did anything bad, and heck no I did not. She then notices a Pokeball in my hand, and asks me if I have my own Pokemon, which I do. What's even more awesome is that I'm a Pokemon Trainer now, so I don't have to live here anymore! Wait... WHAT?! I just moved here! I give Mom the letter, and she's confused about it. She even assumes that it's a LOVE LETTER from PROFESSOR SYCAMORE!!! Though it would be cool if he was my dad... She even remarks at the lovely handwriting, and realizes that I'm about to go off on my journey. She runs upstairs, and gives me a change of clothes. She even goes on and on about a racer from a Rhyhorn race. Wait a minute... Was SHE in those races? Anyways, she also gives me the Town Map, so I don't get lost. She says that a journey with my Pokemon is a WONDERFUL experience. I say goodbye to Mom and Fletching, and leave. When I walk out the door, Rhyhorn wakes up, and walks right in front of me. He roars in my face, and Mom comes outside. Apparently, Rhyhorn wanted to see me go away on my journey too! WHY CAN'T YOU COME WITH ME, RHYHORN?! Apparently, I've known Rhyhorn since I was born. She wishes me good luck, and goes back inside. I head back to Aquacorde Town, and I do not see Serena and Shauna at the table. Though I CAN get a nice view of the town from a ledge. I find a Pokemart owner, and he gives me a Potion for free! On my left, I find a Pokemart that sells Pokeballs, and on my right, I find a library and a Pokemart that sells Potions. I buy a few Pokeballs, and head to Route 2, or Avance Trail. There, I find some tall grass. The first Pokemon I find... is a Pidgey. Despite me wanting to catch Pokemon, I knock it out anyways with Grimsley's Bubble attack. Ahead, I find Serena and Shauna. Shauna says that we should learn how to catch Pokemon from Serena, who's parents are both amazing trainers. Serena goes into a wild Pokemon battle, and battles a Bunnelby. She sends out Fletchling, weakens Bunnelby, and catches it. Shauna is impressed, and forgets that her Fennekin is inside her Pokeball. Serena shares some Pokeballs with me. WHY DID I WASTE MY MONEY?! Oh well, I only bought 5 anyways, no big deal. Serena wishes us both good luck, and leaves. I try to head into Santalune Forest, but I get stopped to a battle instead. The kid sends out a Zigzagoon, but it faints after 3 turns from Grimsley's Bubble. Grimsley levels up to level 7, and I get money. I head into Santalune forest after beating the kid up, and Shauna arrives too. She says that we should walk together. She says that she feels like something exciting will happen if she stays by me. Well, that's fine by me, I guess! I find a few items, and I even battle a Panpour, who actually gives Grimsley a level up to level 8 after beating it up! Not only that, but Grimsley learns Quick Attack! After beating up a few Pokemon, Grimsley levels up to level 9. Shauna even heals Grimsley for me! We run into Serena and Tierno, and they run off. I notice Trevor, but he doesn't do anything. We go up to Tierno, who gets himself into a battle. We pass him, and Shauna finds something in the grass. She gives me a Paralyze Heal, and we continue to look for Serena. I find a trainer who looks a little familiar, but does NOT HAVE RATTATA. I beat him anyways, and we continue our quest. Grimsley grows to level 10, and learns lick, replacing Growl. Tierno shows up, but stays in the tall grass. We catch up to Serena, and she just gives me a Pokeball. Me and Shauna proceed onward, and find a girl with a Pikachu that's level 5... THAT'S WHAT I'M TRYING TO LOOK FOR!!! Grimsley Licks Pikachu three times, and Pikachu gets knocked out. I find another girl who sends out two Pokemon. I beat them, and I find another Pokeball. BY THE WAY, Serena gave me 11 Pokeballs, and I bought 5, and I found one myself, so that makes it 17 Pokeballs. We find the exit, and Serena catches up. Seems that I have a lot of potential. Trevor and Tierno catch up too, and Trevor chastises Tierno for only thinking about how Pokemon move. Shauna catches up (even though she was following ME), and we all go to Santalune City. NOPE! Instead, we go to Route 3, Ouvert Way. Trevor goes off to look for more Pokemon to catch, and Tierno goes to find more Pokemon that move. Serena goes off to look for the Santalune City Gym Leader to battle, but before she goes, she gives us each a book called Adventure Rules, which is just a few tips that every trainer should know. She then leaves, while I go find a Pikachu. I battle a few trainers, and beat them badly. As soon as I pass the stairs, somebody in roller skates passes through, and I beat the rest of the trainers, while getting some items. Now, onward to Santalune City! Current Pokemon Stats: So far, I'm feeling awesome! Grimsley is my only Pokemon so far, but he's level 12, so it shouldn't be a problem. Tringus
Chapter II: Photographer Viola, And The Country-Loving Santalune City! When I first walk into Santalune City, I hear country music. It even gets worse when I get into the Pokemon Center, where the Pokemon Center music's changed to country music. Though... it IS a bit catchy... Anyways, Tierno goes into the Pokemon Center too, and explains what Pokemon Centers are about. He even does a little dance. Like Generation V, there ARE Pokemarts. I heal Grimsley, and leave. I head into the Boutique shop next to the Pokemon Center. I find a cool hat, but it costs too much, so I leave. I go into people's houses, and get some cool stuff. I try to head out to Route 4, but the woman next to the exit stops me. She tells me to head over to the Santalune Gym, and says that her sister will be glad to meet me. The Gym Leader is her sister?! Since the Gym Leader uses Bug-Types, I guess it's time to say hello to a little friend... Torchic! I go to Mystery Gift, and download Torchic. When I load my game, I see a girl in a short outfit, and she gives me the Torchic. I even head to the Trainer's School, where the teacher gives me all these X-Attacks and X-Defends. I explore the school for a bit, then leave. After I go to the Trainer School, I head back to Route 3 to find a Pikachu... which I find a good one when a long time has passed... I catch it anyways, and decide to name it Mr. Muffintops, like how it was named back in Pokemon Yellow, though THAT story will be told another time! After getting Pikachu, I head to the Santalune Gym, and find the roller-skating kid who passed me. She blocks the door, and says that if I beat her i a Pokemon battle, she'll give me a pair of roller skates. She sends out a Zigzagoon, but Grimsley beats it down with Bubble. After I beat her, she gives me the roller skates, and I head inside the Santalune Gym. When I head inside the Gym, I see pictures everywhere, and a guy and a pole in front of me. I wonder what that long, thin pole is for... ANYWAYS, I talk to the Gym guy, and he tells me to jump on the pole. I wonder what SERENA did on the pole... ANYWAYS, Before I go down, he tells me that everyone here uses Bug-types. THIS is why I got Torchic. PLUS, It was an event Pokemon. I climb down the pole, and slam into a giant web. I find a lot of dew, which I'm supposed to knock down. I battle the few trainers, and I burn their Pokemon with Torchic. I knock down all the dew drops, and beat all the trainers. Now, it's just the Gym Leader left! I talk to Viola, who goes on about things that seem inspiring. She then proceeds to just go to the battle, with no introduction. If that's the way you want it, bring it on! Viola sends out Surskit while I send out Grimsley. I have Grimsley Lick Surskit, which paralyzes Surskit. Then, Grimsley keeps using Quick Attack and Pound, which does the trick. I send out Mr. Muffintops, who uses Thunder Shock against Surskit. Fortunately, Surskit keeps getting paralyzed. However, Viola gives Surskit a Potion, but I still have Mr. Muffintops spam Thunder Shock anyways. Eventually, Surskit gets knocked out, and Viola sends out Vivillon, while I send out Torchic. Vivillon keeps using Infestation, while Torchic boosts up from Speed Boost, and keeps burning Vivillon with Ember. Vivillon eventually goes down, and I win the battle, with a pretty good amount of money too. After the battle, she is greatly impressed, and gives me the badge. *Trevo got the Bug Badge!* With the Bug Badge, Pokemon up to level 30 will obey me at my every command. She even gives me TM83 Infestation because I had a great battle with a great "photog" like her. She says that I can use TMs over and over again! She tells me that there's a stairway behind her tent, and that leads back to the entrance. I get out through a picture, and I try to leave. However, the Gym guy stops me, and says that I should take Grimsley to Lumoise City to show Professor Sycamore Grimsley. I leave the Gym, and go to Route 4, but I'm stopped by the same person again. She introduces herself as Alexa, and says that Viola is her younger sister. She says that she is a journalist, and gives me the Exp. Share in celebration of getting my first badge. She explains the new Exp. Share function, and says that she works at the big publishing house up in Lumoise City. She invites me there, and then leaves. Well, I guess it's time to head to Lumoise City! Current Pokemon Stats: I have two new Pokemon, Torchic and Mr, Muffintops! Torchic is kicking some major bug rear. Froakie Name: Grimsley Level: 13 Moves: Pound, Lick, Bubble, Quick Attack Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 6 Moves: Tail Whip, Thunder Shock, Growl Torchic Name: Torchic Level: 14 Moves: Scratch, Growl, Focus Energy, Ember
Tringus
Chapter III: Professor Sycamore, The Mysterious Lysandre, Serena, And The Beautiful Lumoise City! I head to Route 4, or Parterre Way, and find a few hedge mazes with items in them. I battle a few trainers, and find a HUGE fountain. I even found battled some little kids who thought that a Magikarp was cool. I mean, WOW. Anyways, I train Grimsley and Mr. Muffintops, because Torchic is too powerful enough. After I beat all of the trainers, I head to the gate into Lumoise City, but these two rich kids block my way and ask me about a Pokemon called Flabebe. They then bore me with information about Flabebe being a Fairy-type Pokemon, which was classified recently. The girl introduces herself as Sina, and the boy introduces himself as Dexio. The two rich kids were sent by Professor Sycamore to discover new information about Fairy types. Two years ago, they were entrusted with Pokedexes. Sina says that they can show me the way to the lab if I'd like. When I get in the gate, Dexio gives me TM27 Return. And then, I cross the gate... and enter Lumoise City! When I get to Lumoise City, Sina wanders off to the lab. I catch up to Sina, and we both go into Professor Sycamore's Lab. She tells me that Professor Sycamore is on the third floor, so I go in the elevator and head up to the third floor, where I find Monsieur Sycamore himself. He is pleased that I am here, and invites me into his office. One of his assistants gives me TM54 False Swipe for seeing 28 Pokemon. I head into the professor's office, and he thanks me for coming. He introduces himself, and says that it's a pleasure to finally meet me. He asks how my journey is so far, and so far, it is GREAT. He looks at how many Pokemon I've seen so far, and is impressed. He then starts speaking in French again. He then says that at first, he was thinking of choosing only one child from a town when he was deciding who to give a Pokemon to. In Vaniville Town, it was going to be the child of a Veteran Trainer he knows, but then he learned that the Rhyhorn racer Grace and her son (Me) were moving here. He then tells me that in the Kalos region, I'm far away from everything I used to know, and that really hit him. He then had the idea to give me a Pokemon and have me travel around Kalos. Then, Shauna and Serena show up, and Professor Sycamore is pleased. He says that we should all have a Pokemon Battle! HE tells me that my opponent is going to be HIM. Battling a Pokemon Professor... That's a first. Professor Sycamore sends out Bulbasaur while I send out Grimsley. I then send out Torchic, and burn Bulbasaur down to the ground. Professor Sycamore then sends out Squirtle, while I send out Mr. Muffintops. I have Mr. Muffintops use Thunder Shock a few times, and that knocks him out. Professor Sycamore then sends out Charmander as his last, while I switch out for Grimsley. I have Grimsley use Water Pulse, which knocks out Charmander in one hit, allowing me to win the battle. Professor Sycamore then says that he figured something out. He remarks that I am an interesting Pokemon Trainer, and requests that I take ANOTHER Pokemon with me! He gives me three Pokemon to choose from. However, these are the KANTO Starters: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. Like Froakie, I've planned who my Kanto Starter is going to be. I'm going to choose... Charmander! He asks if I want to give Charmander a nickname, so I name him Charles. After I name Charles, Professor Sycamore gives me the Charizardite Y, a Mega Stone. He even asks Shauna and Serena if THEY would like a Kanto Starter. Shauna and Serena take their time to think, while Tierno and Trevor show up. Professor Sycamore welcomes everyone, and says a few words: "Be the best Trainer you can be!" He even does a little pose. He tells us to remember to have fun traveling with our Pokemon, and he wants to ask for our help in solving the Kalos region's biggest Pokemon mystery: the secret and potential of Mega Evolution, a new kind of Evolution that occurs in battle! THAT is why he gave me a Mega Stone just now. It's an important clue! Does that mean the item Torchic is holding is another clue? Trevor asks the professor about the Pokedex, and Professor Sycamore tells him that if that's what "best Trainer" means to him, then he should go out there and complete that Pokedex! Shauna gets hyped up about Mega Evolution, and Professor Sycamore tells us to check out Camphrier Town to investigate Mega Evolution. Camphrier Town has a lot of history, and we might even find a hint there! He also tells us that if we visit many different places to complete the Pokedex, we will probably see Pokemon with many ways of living and meet people with many ways of thinking. First, we should accept the ways of living and thinking that sometimes conflict with our own. We must think about what's REALLY important--this will truly broaden our horizons. Serena says that being different from others makes us special, and that mastering Mega Evolution will definitely set her apart from other Trainers. After that, I talk to everybody individually, and then head downstairs to the second floor. I talk to the scientists, and learn some interesting things. Apparently, Professor Sycamore knew Professor Rowan when he was younger, and Professor Rowan was his teacher! After learning a few things, I head back to the first floor, where I find this red-haired man in a black suit talking to Sina. They are talking about the five of us that were chosen by Professor Sycamore! Sina notices me, and calls me over to them. He says that I am one of the "chosen ones". He introduces himself as Lysandre, and he says that he's tried to learn as much about Pokemon as he can to help build a brighter future. He says that Professor Sycamore has taught him so much. He notices my Holo Caster, and he tells me that knowledge is power, and tells me to put it to good use. He tells me that it is vital that this world become a better place, and the people and Pokemon chosen to make the world better must work tirelessly to achieve this goal. He then says that he has to go, and tells us to give Professor Sycamore his best. He then says his desire... is for a more beautiful world! He then leaves. Sina wonders what kind of beautiful world Lysandre desires, and tells me that there are many different Pokemon in the Kalos region. She hopes that getting a Pokedex will help me learn more about Pokemon. As soon as I start to leave, Serena, Shauna, Tierno and Trevor show up. Shauna tells me that there's a place that she wants to go check out, and she leaves. Serena says that she has something she wants to talk to me about, and tells me that she'll be waiting for me in Cafe Soleil. Then she leaves, while Trevor wonders what she wants to talk to me about. Tierno says that it seems hush-hush. Even though they're curious, they'll stay out of it. Tierno gives me the directions to go to Camphrier Town, and says that Cafe Soleil is over that direction too. When I leave, Tierno and Trevor come out too. Trevor says that Lumoise City may be large, but if I stay on the main streets, I shouldn't get lost. Tierno leaves to go on a little walk, and Trevor shows me the way to Camphrier Town and Cafe Soleil. He then leaves, and I find Shauna standing in front of a building where you can make 10 second videos and show them to the world. I find the Pokemon Center, and heal my Pokemon, but I also find a guy who talks about Poke Milege, where I trade Poke Miles for prizes. I then leave. I head back outside, and head to where Trevor said. I find Serena, and talk to her. I follow her into Cafe Soleil, and find Lysandre with a girl called Diantha. Serena tells me that Lysandre is the head of Lysandre Labs, which created the Holo Caster, a video-messaging device. She also says that Diantha is one of the most famous movie stars in the world! Let's go see what they're talking about... Lysandre compliments Diantha on her debut on the silver screen as a young girl, and asks her if she would rather remain young and beautiful forever and always play such roles. Strange question... She asks him why would she want to play the same roles forever, and says that youth may be beautiful, but it's not all there is to life. She tells him that everything changes, and she wants to live and change like that too. So she looks forward to playing different roles as she gets older. Lysandre tells her that she was chosen to be a movie star, and asks her that isn't it her duty to be beautiful forever? He says that everything beautiful should stay that way forever, and says that he would end the world in an instant so that beauty never fades. He can't stand at the thought of the world becoming uglier. He then notices me, and introduces me to Diantha, and says that she moves the multitudes with her excellent acting, and says that she dedicates her life to making other people happy. He says that if everyone was like her, the world would be even more beautiful! He then leaves. Diantha comes closer, and asks who we are. Serena introduces herself, but Diantha guesses my name right on the spot. I guess it was because Lysandre said my name earlier. She is amazed that we're both Trainers, and says that she's a Trainer herself, in her off time. She looks forward to us battling one day, and leaves. Serena remembers what she wanted to say, and she asks me if I would be willing to battle her to see which one of us will become stronger. She knows I just moved in, but we're neighbors, and she thinks it will be fun to battle me. She tells me that she won't lose. We'll see about that... I leave, then get a Holo clip from Tierno. He tells me that he's on Route 5 right now, and it's FILLED with Pokemon! He tells me to hurry and check it out. I explore Lumoise City some more, and find some good items. After that, I head to the gate Trevor was blocking, and I find a guy in a pink suit. He introduces himself as Mr. Bonding, and asks me if I've ever heard of O-Powers. He explains that they're mysterious forces that have many useful effects. They can help my Pokemon get stronger, or they can help me get more money. Any friends I have nearby will also benefit from them. He gives me an O-Power, and He explains some more, then leaves. I then go to Route 5 too. Lysandre... What kind of world does he hope to create? Current Pokemon Stats: Welcome to the team, Charles! The other three Pokemon leveled up pretty good, and Mr. Muffintops even learned some new moves! Froakie Name: Grimsley Level: 15 Moves: Pound, Lick, Bubble, Quick Attack Charmander Name: Charles Level: 10 Moves: Scratch, Growl, Ember, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 11 Moves: Tail Whip, Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Play Nice Torchic Name: Torchic Level: 15 Moves: Scratch, Growl, Focus Energy, Ember
Tringus
Chapter IV: The Historic Camphrier Town, And The Ancient Shabboneau Castle! I head to Route 5, or Versant Road, and I see a Lucario run up to me, and run around me. I hear someone calling it, and a girl with another Lucario shows up. Apparently these Lucarios are hers. She apologizes and asks if I'm okay. She was just doing some special training with her Lucario when all of a sudden it dashed off... Apparently, Lucario seems to like me. She tells me that Lucario reads people's auras, and it seems something in my aura has made Lucario take a liking to me. She says that Lucario is always getting worked up in battle with her other one. Maybe... it's just been waiting for a Trainer to appear who's strong enough to challenge it... She then realizes that she forgot to introduce herself, and says that her name's Korrina, and she's the Shalour City Gym Leader. She says that if I'm collecting Gym Badges, we'll be battling sooner or later. She says that she'll be looking forward to it, and hopes that I can put up a good fight. Korrina and her Lucario leave, while the Lucario that confronted me follows them. Korrina... What an interesting name... After that little run-in, I feel that it's time to start Super Training my Pokemon. I go to the Super Training app on the PSS, and it explains what Super Training (S.T.) is. Basically, it's a virtual sports game where Pokemon face off against Balloon Bots. In the Core Training, Pokemon hit training bags to get stronger. Time to leave Charmander out in the rain! Nah, I'm kidding. I'm not like Ash Ketchum or anything. I go through the tutorials, and start training my Pokemon viciously. After I Super Train my Pokemon a little bit, I start to use Pokemon Amie, and play games with my wonderful Pokemon. After I train and play with my Pokemon for a little bit, I level up Charmander and Pikachu to level 15. However, in the process, I stumble into a few battles where I find five Pokemon ganging up on me! I beat up these Pokemon, and then beat a few trainer's Pokemon, and head onward. I find Trevor and Tierno at the stairs, and hear them talking about Pokemon hordes. Tierno thinks of them as dancing Pokemon, but Trevor chastises him, and says that it's not dancing. Tierno does his funny little dance, and says that he's always checking out their moves. However, he never wins because he always tries finding dance moves, such as Swords Dance. Tierno and Trevor notice me, and Tierno asks if my Pokemon know any sweet moves. He then asks me to show him in a battle! You want a battle, Tierno? Let's Dance. Tierno sends out Corphish, while I send out Grimsley. I have Grimsley Lick Corphish, but Corphish uses Vice Grip. Lucky for me, it paralyzes Corphish. Grimsley then uses Water Pulse, which knocks Corphish's health by half. Grimsley then finishes off Corphish, and gets some Exp. However, before the battle, I turned on EXP Share, so everyone gets Exp, AND level up to level 16! HOWEVER, there are some evolutions too! Grimsley evolves into... Frogadier! Charles evolves into... Charmeleon! Torchic evolves into... Combusken! Trevor says that it's good to see me, and confirms that Tierno ONLY thinks about dancing and moves. When a horde of Pokemon popped out, he just stood there watching them... Tierno says that dancing is his dream, and he was born to dance. Trevor says that he should show just as much dedication of completing the Pokedex. He then walks up to me and gives me some Honey. He tells me that Honey encourages Pokemon Hordes to appear. He says that if I want to challenge a whole horde, I may want to use moves that can hit multiple targets. After that, I head onward. I roll over the hills, and battle my way through trainers, and find a field of pretty purple flowers. I grind over the flowers, and grind myself to a ledge where I find a yellow Pokeball. I pick it up, and it's TM01 Hone Claws. I battle a few more trainers, and find a kid who talks about shorts. Seems that Youngster Joey has returned... Nope, false alarm. It's a different kid. I beat him, then roll my way toward Camphrier Town. As soon as I cross the gate to Camphrier Town, I get a Holo Clip from an employee from Lysandre Labs. Lysandre Labs explains that they developed the Holo Caster to make the lives of Pokemon Trainers richer, fuller, and more convenient. They hope I'll continue to enjoy the fine services that the device provides, and the clip ends. I head into the house next to the gate, and find a punk kid named Cassius. He says that he's the guy who runs the PC, no joke. He tells me that Bill over in Kanto asked him to come here and run things. He tells me in brief words to get out there, catch some Pokemon, and put them in the PC. He explains everything about the PC, and I then go. I talk to the ladies there, and one of them gives me TM46 Thief. I leave, then head to other buildings, and get some items. There's even somebody who never 'drop the balls.' In the hotel, I find Mr. Bonding again. He gives me an O-Power, and leaves. I try to leave, but I get stopped by someone. He tells me to go to the Shabboneau Castle and explore it. So, I will go do that. When I enter the castle, I find Shauna, and a karate guy. He explains that Shabboneau Castle, or Chateau, was once a manor house of a noble family. It may be run down, but that's because there's history to the place. During that history, the owners of the castle gave away a lot of their stuff to everyone, so that's why it feels so empty. Shauna is surprised, because she wanted to know if there's anything related to Mega Evolution. The guy is confused, and doesn't even KNOW what Mega Evolution is. Another guy comes in, and says that something has returned. They go to Route 7, but they tell us to take our time and have a look around. She then says that we should go to Route 7. I'm going to take my time and look around. I head to the second floor, and find some furniture. I find an Escape Rope, and then I head to the other room, which is a great big room. Sadly, there is nothing else, so I leave with Shauna and head to Route 7. I head to Route 7, or Riviere Walk, and I find the two men being blocked off by a large Snorlax. Shauna shows up, and asks what's going on. Seems that Snorlax is asleep... again... Seems that Snorlax has been here before. The karate guy says that he handed the Poke Flute to some other people, so it seems we're going to have to find them to get it. Shauna asks what a Poke Flute is, and he basically explains that the Poke Flute is what we need to wake up Snorlax. However, the Poke Flute is at Parfum Palace. Time to head to Route 6! Shauna says that we might be able to learn something about Mega Evolution from Parfum Palace! Before I head to Route 6, I head down to a Berry Field, where I find a man and a little girl. The man asks me if I can take care of his Berry Field, and he's basically giving it to me. First, a shopping mall, and now this? Awesome! I say yes, and he teaches me how to take care of the field. We walk to some soil, and he gives me some Oran Berries, and some Pecha Berries. The man also gives me a watering can called the Sprinklotoad, and wishes me luck on taking care of the field. He leaves to go rest, and the girl tells me that we live in the house at the corner of the field. She then leaves too. I grow the berries, then leave to Route 6. Parfum Palace, here we come! Current Pokemon Stats: I'm surprised, because Grimsley, Charles, AND Torchic all evolved AT THE SAME TIME. Now, they're all kicking butt. Some of them even learned new moves, too! Frogadier Name: Grimsley Level: 19 Moves: Pound, Lick, Water Pulse, Quick Attack Charmeleon Name: Charles Level: 18 Moves: Scratch, Dragon Rage, Ember, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 17 Moves: Tail Whip, Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Play Nice Combusken Name: Combusken Level: 18 Moves: Scratch, Peck, Double Kick, Ember
Tringus
Chapter V: The Majestic Parfum Palace, And The Battle Chateau! I head to Route 6, or Palais Lane, where I find a LOT of trees and grass. I can see Parfum Palace from here, and I see a few tourists ready to battle. I beat them, and head to the palace. I find the golden palace, and it's blocked by a gate. I walk up to the gate, and Shauna shows up. The man guarding the gate tells us that we have to pay $1,000 to get in. Shauna bursts in an outrage. Apparently, the owner of the palace follows the school of thought that you can never have too much money, which is hypocritical because this is how the rich get richer. She gives him the entrance fee: $1,000. The reason why there's the entrance fee is to help pay for repairing and restoring the palace... Probably... He opens the gate, and Shauna just runs in there. I run to the giant doors, and they open. I head inside, and find Shauna and a man with a golden Milotic statue and small gold Bisharp statues. It seems that the man is looking for something important. He then confirms that he's looking for his Furfrou, his dog Pokemon, who has disappeared. Shauna tells me that we should help him look for his Pokemon, cause if our Pokemon were missing, we'd be sick with worry. Time to look for Furfrou! I head through the doors, and explore the palace. I find a wandering minstrel, who sings a little tune. I learn a little bit of history of Parfum Palace, too. Apparently, it was built after Kalos won a war with neighboring regions. Long ago, there was a king whose garden was his pride and joy. He'd gather the castle folk and hold garden parties! There's a guy who tells me not to sleep in the king's bed, but too bad, I do it anyways, cause I AM a king! I head to the second floor, and head into the rooms too. In one room, I find a picture of the king of Kalos. I look outside the balcony, and it is STUNNING. It has Dratini tatues, and I can see a Reshiram Statue, and a Zekrom statue. I head to the left wing, and find a book where it talks about something that occurred in Shalour City... Could this have to do with Mega Evolution? I head back downstairs, and head out to the courtyard, where I find a statue that has Golurk, Palpitoad, Eevee, and a knight. When I get to the courtyard, Shauna shows up, and says that she'll look in the back. I find a few people, and talk to them. Apparently, the king who built this place ruled the entire Kalos region all on his own, just like an ancient king from 3,000 years ago. I look around in the hedges for Furfrou, and I find HM01 Cut. Just north of the HM, I find Furfrou, who runs off when I try to grab it. Shauna's been trying hard to grab it, and asks me for a hand. She tells me to find her a spot to hide in so that we can corner it in a dead end. Eventually, we corner Furfrou, and Shauna is happy. She says that we caught it because of me. How sweet... Furfrou's owner shows up, and is happy we reunited him with his Furfrou. He gets overjoyed, and says that he shall put on a tremendous fireworks display... All because we saved his dog. He tells us to rendezvous at the balcony. He then pronounces it like we're idiots or something. I've been to the balcony before, it's from the hall with mirrors on the second floor. He and his Furfrou leave, and Shauna's surprised, saying that maybe we shouldn't have found Furfrou. It was probably better off if we hadn't found it. Stupid rich people... If we were Pokemon, we would hate to have a trainer like that. But... since there's fireworks, we should make the best of it. I do enjoy Shauna's positive attitude. Eventually, I make it to the balcony, and I already find Shauna there! Are there two Shaunas? Oh well. It seems that me and Shauna have a little moment, because she says that she's never watched fireworks alone with a boy before. She says that even though we haven't even seen them yet, she'll never forget these fireworks... because she watched them with me... The fireworks start, and it's magical. Shauna's silent at first, but she says that fireworks show was AMAZING. She says that she never ever want to forget this, so she'll keep this memory in an album in her heart. The greedy palace owner and his butler show up, and the greedy man says that the fireworks show was for HIS DOG. This is when Shauna SNAPS. Wait... She almost forgot about the Poke Flute. The greedy man tells his butler to go get it, even though he didn't want to part with the flute. He says it was Shabboneau Castle's treasure, but he took it as payment for a loan. He says that a rich guy like him and a common person like that just didn't go together. The butler comes back, and the greedy man tells him to give it to us. He gives it to us, and then the greedy man tells us to always return what we borrow. When he's gone Shauna says that she wants to make lots of memories on her journey... but she says she'll try hard and forget about him... The servant says that to the greedy man, it's stressful running the place. Shauna asks the butler if he knows anything about Mega Evolution, and he says that there's a book about it in the palace library. He says that it had something to do with a Trainer holding a mysterious stone high and making Pokemon evolve even further. He also gives me TM17 Protect, which will be quite useful for Combusken when he evolves. He explains what Protect does, and then he takes his leave. Shauna says that the owner of Shabboneau Castle used to be friends with the butler. The butler is much nicer than the greedy man who abuses his dog. Shauna says that we have to be sure to give the Poke Flute back after we wake up Snorlax... Time to wake up Snorlax! I head to Route 6, and take the long way out this time. I find some items, and beat some trainers. Eventually, I find TM09 Venoshock, and I eventually make it back to Route 7. I give the Poke Flute, and get ready to battle the lazy Snorlax. Eventually, I catch the defensive bear, and then Furfrou and its greedy owner show up. He says that the only thing he can do with the Poke Flute is put it on display. However, the karate guy has been playing since he was little, and the tone is lovely Even his Furfrou enjoyed the sound of the flute. However, the fireworks were better. So, the greed rich man will let the karate guy keep his Poke Flute. Shauna knew exactly what I was thinking. That guy fails at patching things up. Oh well, all's well that ends well. I head over the bridge, and find what I think is the day care center. Before I can go any further, Tierno and Trevor show up. Tierno confirms that it's the day care center, because Trevor wanted to check it out. I follow the two pals, and Trevor explains what the Pokemon Day care Center is about. Both of them are amazed at the fact of hatching eggs. Tierno leaves, and Trevor follows him out. I head onward, and then talk to Tierno. He asks if I've caught a Dunsparce yet. I talk to Trevor, who asks me for a Pokemon Battle. By that, he means comparing Pokedexes. Well, I've seen 58 Pokemon, so he lost. I battle the trainers here, and Trevor runs to this huge building. I head over to him, and ask him what the building is. He says that it's called the Battle Chateau, and it's famous for being a place where Trainers gather to improve their skills. He says that if he learns even more about Pokemon, he's sure he'll be able to defeat Kalos's eight Gym Leaders. Time to enter the Battle Chateau! I enter the huge mansion, and find Viola there talking to a fellow gentleman. She notices me, and asks me what my title of nobility is. Too bad for me, I don't have one yet. She explains that my title at the Battle Chateau shows everyone just how strong I am. She also says that only a handful of Trainers can join the ranks of nobility and earn these titles. The gentleman notices me, and asks Viola if she is acquainted with me. He notices that I have the Bug Badge, and says that Lady Viola has recognized my ability as a Trainer. He says that it's a pleasure to meet me, and says that his name is Hennessy. I tell him my name, and he calls me Sir Trevo. Viola recommends me to have a title, and says that I have the makings of a very strong Trainer, so she's sure I'll contribute to the Battle Chateau. Hennessy is fine with that. Besides... HE also senses extraordinary potential emanating from me. He grants me the title of Baron, and says that Trainers with noble titles can do battle against other Trainers with titles in the nobility here at the Battle Chateau. He explains that the title of Baron or Baroness places me at the lowest rank of nobility. He tells me that if I continue to battle here, my victories will increase my rank and my title. He says that it's likely that higher-ranking members of the nobility will appear in hope of fighting me. He tells me that if I ever have any questions, then I shall direct my inquiries to the two clerks at the door. He then takes his leave. Viola says that she is also a member of the nobility, so we should battle again if we get the chance. She also leaves, and so I guess it's time for me to leave too. I battle the last trainer I see, and then I find Serena. She says that she would like to have a Pokemon battle with everyone. However, it seems that we're all doing a tag battle. She says that the battle will be Tierno and Trevor against me and her. Since me and her are neighbors, we might as well team up. Let's do this! Tierno sends out Corphish and Trevor sends out Pikachu, while Serena sends out Fletchling and I send out Grimsley. I switch out Grimsley for Mr. Muffintops, while Fletchling attacks Pikachu with Quick Attack. However, Corphish and Pikachu decide to gang up on Mr. Muffintops! Mr. Muffintops knocks out Corphish with Electro Ball, and we both then gang up on Pikachu. Trevor sends out Flabebe, and Mr. Muffintops knocks out Flabebe with an Electro Ball and a Quick Attack. In the end, me and Serena win, and Tierno and Trevor lose. Serena says that it's always interesting to see how different each Trainer's style is. She says that we should all head off to Ambrette Town, so we might as well do that. I climb the steps, and find a cave called Connecting Cave. However, this part of the cave leads to Cyllage City. I have to find the one leading to Ambrette Town. Eventually, I find the part of Connecting Cave that leads to Ambrette Town. It's a creepy cave called Zubat Roost. Oh gosh... Not Zubats again! I get myself into a few horde battles, and guess what? Annoying Zubats! I find a kind scientist, who heals my Pokemon for me! I find the exit, and leave. I find myself on Route 8, or Muraille Coast, and I get stopped by Sina and Dexio. They ask how my journey is going, and ask if I wondered how a single Pokedex could cover a big region like Kalos. Well, it apparently can't (even though the Unova Pokedex got at least 300 Pokemon!), and they upgrade my Pokedex by giving me the Coastal Kalos Pokedex. They give friendly advice, and leave. I get a good view of a small town, and make my journey across the mountain. I find a few trainers, and all of a sudden, it starts raining. I battle a few more trainers, and find some items. I even find a Sky Trainer, but I can't battle him yet. I hop on some stones, and finally make my way to Ambrette Town. As soon as I try to take the first step down, Serena shows up. She says that to get to Cyllage City, we have to go through the aquarium, but first we should go to the Fossil Lab and have them tell us about Fossils. She says that we might even learn something about Mega Evolution. I can't wait! Fossils, here we come! Current Pokemon Stats: Well, it seems that everybody leveled up and learned some moves! I even caught a fat Snorlax on a bridge! I had it named Sleepy, but I decided to head all the way back and name it Fatty Boy. Frogadier Name: Grimsley Level: 24 Moves: Round, Lick, Water Pulse, Quick Attack Charmeleon Name: Charles Level: 22 Moves: Scratch, Dragon Rage, Ember, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 20 Moves: Thunder Wave, Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Electro Ball Combusken Name: Combusken Level: 23 Moves: Scratch, Peck, Double Kick, Ember Snorlax Name: Fatty Boy Level: 16 Moves: Tackle, Defense Curl, Amnesia, Lick
Tringus
Chapter VI: Pokemon Fossils, And The Mysterious Team Flare! I head down to the Ambrette Town, and talk to a girl who randomly gives me TM94 Rock Smash! Time to start smashing some rocks! I explore all the other places, and in the Ambrette Hotel, I get TM96 Nature Power. I also find Mr. Bonding, who gives me an O-Power. I find the Fossil Lab, and find a hiker who asks if I have a Pokemon called Genesect... Seems that he has some items relating to Genesect. Oh well. I notice a Dragonite Skull on one of the shelves too! I head into the other room, and Serena shows up. We head into the room together, and the male scientist welcomes us. Serena introduces me and her and tells the two scientists that we are researching Mega Evolution, and asks them if they know anything about it. Unfortunately, all they know is that it has something to do with mysterious stones. Since we're here, we might as well learn about Fossils. The scientist says that Fossils are the legacy of prehistoric Pokemon, and tells us that we should go to the dig site and see the real thing firsthand. Serena tries to excuse herself, but the other scientist explains that Pokemon that can be restored from Fossils just might have something to do with Mega Evolution. She says that the assistant in Glittering Cave right now might know something about Mega Evolution too. Time to go to Glittering Cave then! To get to Glittering Cave, I apparently have to ride a Rhyhorn. The man at the gate says that I could even pretend I'm the famous Rhyhorn racer, Grace. WAIT A MINUTE!!! My mom is FAMOUS?!? I talk to the ladies, and get an item from one of them, and I then cross the gate. I head to Route 9, or Spikes Passage, and hope on a Rhyhorn! I cross the spiky terrain, and find some items on the way. I find a Sky Trainer, but can't battle him yet. I find Glittering Cave, and step inside. When I first step in the cave, I feel like I'm going to Wonderland. I head to every turn, and find some dead ends. I make my way through, and battle a few Pokemon. I find a few items, including TM65 Shadow Claw, whenever I find a dead end, and continue my quest. Eventually, I get far enough to see light. When I see light, I find tracks, and a man in a red suit, red hair, and red shades. He notices me, and is surprised I'm down here. He tells me that he's a member of the fashionable team whose very name makes people tremble in fear: Team Flare. He says that Team Flare's goal is to make it so they're the only ones who are happy, and says that they don't care one bit about what happens to other Trainers or Pokemon. He tells me to leave, and scolds me for trying to play with fire. He says that someday, everyone not in Team Flare is going to get burned. I go up to him again, and try getting him out of my way. He says that getting his fancy suit dirty isn't the stylish way to do things, but he doesn't care if I battle him. He threatens that he'll obliterate me, and sends out Houndour. He does a pose, and the battle begins. The Team Flare Grunt sends out Houndour, while I send out Grimsley. One hit from Water Pulse, and Houndour is down. However, the Team Flare grunt also has a Zubat. However, another Water Pulse, and Zubat goes down too. Looks like I win. The Team Flare grunt tells me that he's not the only member of Team Flare, and that there's many more. He then gloats that Team Flare is awesome and for winners. He says that it's stylish and awesome. If he's a winner, then why did he lose? I head deeper in the cave, and find more Team Flare grunts. They reveal why they're here, and that's to find Fossils. Someone calls my name, and Serena arrives. She is well aware that these guys are Team Flare grunts too. She was in a bit of a scuffle with them too. She encourages them to make Team Flare happy, but won't let them get away with threatening other people. Serena sends out Espurr while I send out Grimsley. However, Espurr gets beaten down, so she sends out Absol. We eventually beat their Pokemon, and the grunts start crying about their suits. One of the two reveals that they want to restore Fossils to make some money. Probably to gain funds for Team Flare's evil plans! I head deeper, and find the assistant in a dead end. Serena follows me, and the scientist notices. Serena asks if he's okay, and asks if Team Flare came here. Apparently, he's unaware of the situation, as he was completely absorbed in his research for Fossils. The scientist says that he just now found two Fossils. However, he already has these, so he's giving them to us! I decide to get the Jaw Fossil, because I already know what it's going to be. Serena gets the Sail Fossil, and the scientist heads back to the lab. Serena says that we should train more so we can travel safely with those Team Flare people running around. She says that she's going to challenge the Cyllage City Gym, and so I might do that too. After that Team Flare fiasco, I head all the way back to Ambrette Town, restore my Jaw Fossil, and get a Tyrunt! I name him Bowser because it's basically a Pokemon version of Bowser. After that, I talk to the scientist who told me to go look for him, and he's thankful I found the assistant. He gives me the Aerodactylite as thanks, and tells me that Aerodactyl can be restored from Old Amber, which is found in Glittering Cave while using Rock Smash to break rocks. I head to Glittering Cave, and find an Old Amber when I smash some rocks with Fatty Boy. I head back to the Fossil Lab, restore my Old Amber, and get an Aerodactyl! I name him Ridley because Aerodactyl is pretty much the Pokemon version of Ridley. Time to head to Cyllage City! With Bowser and Ridley in my team, I put Fatty Boy in the PC, and teach Bowser Rock Smash to replace Fatty Boy. I head to the Ambrette Aquarium, and look at all the cool stuff. I find a man in front of a golden Magikarp statue. He gives me an Old Rod, and teaches me how to fish. I then leave the aquarium. I head outside, and it seems that I am still on Route 8. I smash some rocks, get some items, and I even find a girl who gives me the Dowsing Machine! I then look for some hidden items at the beach and underneath Ambrette Town. I then battle all the fishermen and the swimmer girls on the beach, and make my way to Cyllage City! What waits for me at Cyllage City? Whatever it is, I'm ready! Current Pokemon Stats: Well, it seems that everybody leveled up pretty well, and there's two new Pokemon to the team. Two Fossil Pokemon, in fact! Plus, they both allude to the Mario and Metroid series as well, so that's good! Frogadier Name: Grimsley Level: 26 Moves: Round, Lick, Water Pulse, Quick Attack Charmeleon Name: Charles Level: 23 Moves: Scratch, Dragon Rage, Ember, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 23 Moves: Nuzzle, Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Electro Ball Combusken Name: Combusken Level: 25 Moves: Scratch, Peck, Double Kick, Ember Tyrunt Name: Bowser Level: 21 Moves: Rock Smash, Stealth Rock, Bite, Charm Aerodactyl Name: Ridley Level: 20 Moves: Bite, Scary Face, Roar, Agility

Tringus
Chapter VII: Grant, And The Active Cyllage City! As I get to Cyllage City I head to the Boutique and buy some clothes. I then head to the Pokemon Center, and I find that the lights are shut off. When I walk in, the lights turn on, and Nurse Joy wishes me a happy birthday! The music is even slightly different too! I head outside, and I find that the Gym Leader is on top of a hill. I head deeper into town, and find a bicycle shop next to the Pokemon Center! When I head in there, I find that I'm their 10,001 customer since they opened shop. The man says that if I was number 10,000, I could have gotten a Bicycle for free, but... as a runner-up, I get the chance to win a Bicycle by answering their quiz correctly. I answer the corrections correctly, and get the Green Bicycle because Green foreshadows something that's yet to come... I find another hotel, and find TM44 Rest and TM88 Sleep Talk. I then go into the bedrooms, and guess who I find? Mr. Bonding... AGAIN... I head outside, and climb the mountain, where I find a guy who tells me that I'm too late for the Bicycle race. He already won first place. However, he feels bad that I missed it, and gives me HM04 Strength as a consolation. However, to use it outside of battle, I'll first need a badge from the Gym he runs in the city. He says he'll be waiting for me in the Gym, and leaves. This guy is Grant, the second Gym Leader. I head to more houses, and get some more items. However, now's the time to challenge the Gym. I head inside the Cyllage Gym, and I find a huge rock climbing mountain, with Grant at the top. I talk to the Gym guy, who explains how to climb the rocks. After that, I climb the rocks, and battle the trainers in my way. Eventually, I make it to the top, where I find Grant under a beautiful scenery. He tells me that he has been waiting in eager anticipation, and says that he has been waiting for a worthy challenger to appear. He remarks my achievement at climbing all the way up to the top. Hopefully, our battle will be worth the wait. He actually hopes that I win. He cracks his neck, and the battle begins. Let's crush some rocks! Grant sends out Amaura, while I send out Combusken. Combusken makes short work of Amaura with Double Kick, and then Grant sends out Tyrunt. Combusken tries to wipe out Tyrunt with Double Kick, but it only drops Tyrunt's HP down to its last. Grant then uses a Hyper Potion, and Combusken finishes Tyrunt off with two Double Kicks. Tyrunt goes down, and I win the battle. Grant tells me that there are some things that seem out of reach no matter how hard you try. However, it's important that I never give up-- no matter the opponent or the odds. He then gives me the badge to commemorate such an impressive show of teamwork. *Trevo got the Cliff Badge!* With the Cliff Badge, Pokemon up to level 40 will obey me at my every command. He also gives me TM39 Rock Tomb, which also lowers Speed and prevents the opponent from moving. He tells me that since I've become a master wall climber and conquered the Cyllage Gym, it's time I thought about how to apply my skills in other areas. He tells me to think about how I can improve myself, as well as the Pokemon that are always by my side. When I find the answer, that's when I'll truly be able to smile! I slide all the way down, and leave the gym. Now that I got the Gym out of the way, it's time for some unfinished business! I head into the cave at the mountain, and find a man who gives me TM21 Frustration. After making a shortcut to Route 7, I head back, and move a boulder to find TM40 Aerial Ace. Now it's time to go back to Cyllage City. Actually, I think my work is done here in Cyllage City. Onward to Route 10! Current Pokemon Stats: Well, the team leveled up pretty good. Bowser got a new move, and so did Combusken. Other than that, not much has changed. Frogadier Name: Grimsley Level: 28 Moves: Round, Lick, Water Pulse, Quick Attack Charmeleon Name: Charles Level: 25 Moves: Scratch, Dragon Rage, Ember, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 24 Moves: Nuzzle, Thunder Shock, Quick Attack, Electro Ball Combusken Name: Combusken Level: 28 Moves: Bulk Up, Peck, Double Kick, Ember Tyrunt Name: Bowser Level: 22 Moves: Rock Smash, Stealth Rock, Bite, Strength Aerodactyl Name: Ridley Level: 22 Moves: Bite, Scary Face, Roar, Agility
Tringus
Chapter VIII: Team Flare, And The Mysterious Geosenge Town! I head to Route 10, or Mehir Trail, and find some trainers to battle. One of them even references that my Pokemons' power levels are over 9,000!!! I then move some boulders and find TM73 Thunder Wave. After that, I battle some more trainers, and then head into a field of large, strange stones. I talk to a guy who says that a few years ago, a strange man named Colress told him that these large stones emit strange energy. I head deeper, and a Team Flare member pops out from the stones. He remembers me from when I foiled their Fossil-finding plans, and asks if I have any idea what these stones are. He then spoils a little bit of history from 3,000 years ago, but forgets afterwards. He then battles me with Houndour and Golbat, but I beat them easily with Grimsley. He asks if I'm some kind of Trainer prodigy, but then he gets a call from his boss. For some odd reason, Team Flare has Holo Casters too. He says that whoever thought of the Holo Caster must have been one truly stylish individual. He then scrams... with style! I battle another trainer, and find a Thunder Stone. When I try to go deeper, I find another Team Flare member, who sends out Electrike and Croagunk, who easily get beaten down by Bowser, who makes his debut in the battle! After I beat the Team Flare member, I find another one, who threatens to inspect me if I inspect the stones. She sends out Gulpin, who I just destroy with Grimsley. After the Team Flare fiasco, I battle the last trainer on Route 10 before entering Geosenge Town. I head to Geosenge Town, go into the Pokemon Center, and heal my Pokemon. I then receive TM66 Payback from an old man, and leave. I then head to a hotel next to the Pokemon Center, and find Mr. Bonding again... After he gives me an O-Power, I leave. I find the same Team Flare member from before, who sings about the mysterious stones and Geosenge Town. He then heads to a dead end, and I follow him. He knows I'm there, and he tells me that Team Flare is planning to use the stones on Route 10 and a fantastic artifact to change the world to make Team Flare happy. He says that only people with flair can have power, and leaves. Serena appears from behind, and asks if that was a Team Flare member. I say yes, and she says that something is going on with Team Flare... She then leaves, and I pursue the grunt. When I get to a dead end, the grunt is nowhere to be seen. However, there are a pile of rocks strangely assembled. Perhaps this leads into a secret base? Oh well. Since I can't open it, I might as well just go back to the hotel to find some information. I find that some of the bigger stones on Route 10 are 30 feet tall! And there's so many of them, spanning more than a mile in all! However, why are the stones here? Some people think that the stones mark the burial site of warriors from ancient times. Others say they were built as family memorials or that they were set up for a ritual to celebrate life. However, ancient cultures used stones to track the movement of the sun. However, the most common belief is that they contain some kind of mysterious power. However, there are also some mysterious stones in the neighboring Shalour City, too. Time to head to Shalour City! Will I find the key to Mega Evolution in Shalour City? Tringus
Chapter IX: Mega Evolution Successor Korrina, And The Key To Mega Evolution! As soon as I leave for Shalour City, Korrina shows up with her two Lucarios. She remembers me from Route 5, and Lucario sounds like he wants to battle with me. Korrina asks if I would like to battle with her, and I reply yes. She asks me which one has a shine to me, and the battle begins. The one on your right is the Lucario that likes me. Let's rumble! Korrina sends out Lucario while I send out Charles. I have Charles use Ember, which critical hits Lucario, and Lucario gets knocked down after one more hit from Ember. I then finish off the other Lucario with Ember and Dragon Rage from Charles. Korrina is defeated! Korrina sees why Lucario likes me so much, and asks me if I remember that she's the Gym Leader in Shalour City. Once I get past the cave beyond this gate, I'll be able to challenge her! I head to Route 11, or Miroir Way, and battle a few trainers. I then find some strange rocks in the ground, but ignore them. As I head up the stairs, I get a Holo Clip from Professor Sycamore. He's surprised I'm almost at Shalour City already, and says that he wants to tell me about a person in Shalour who knows a great deal about Mega Evolution. People call him the Mega Evolution guru. Professor Sycamore then tells me that he's already told everyone else about him, so if I have a second, I should give him a visit. The Holo Clip then ends. I battle the last two trainers, and enter the cave. I enter Reflection Cave, and find signs that won't allow me to use my Bicycle or my Roller Skates. I battle some trainers, and find some items. I then find some stairs, which take me deeper. I find a nice lady who heals my Pokemon for me, and so I can continue my quest. After battling some trainers, I find Tierno, who gives me TM70 Flash. I head onward, beating the rest of the trainers on this floor, then head upstairs. I find an exit, but decide to get the items and stuff over with in this long cave. I find TM74 Gyro Ball in a hidden room, and then after I find everything, I go out of the horribly long cave. Seriously, this cave was just about as hard as Chargestone Cave in Pokemon Black and Black 2! I finally make it into Shalour City, and I head into the Pokemon Center to heal my Pokemon. Guess who I find? That's right. Mr. FRICKING BONDING. He's in a corner, near the changing room, FACING A WALL. JUST WHAT KIND OF PERSON MADE THIS GUY?! He gives me an O-Power, and leaves. I get a few items from the townspeople, and head to the steps. All of a sudden, Tierno and Trevor show up. Where was Trevor in Reflection Cave?! He does another Pokedex battle, and loses. Again. They remind me to say hello to the Mega Evolution Guru. Tierno forgets for a minute, but Trevor reminds him. Trevor says that the Mega Evolution Guru lives in the Tower of Mastery, a high tower that holds the secret to Mega Evolution. I head to Korrina's Gym to challenge her, but the Gym guy says that she's at the Tower of Mastery. I head to the beach-like area, and Tierno shows up. I assume he's going to show me a new dance, but he shows me an stone that may relate to Mega Evolution. In fact, he even GIVES the Intriguing Stone to me for being a good friend! He then goes to get Trevor, and I head inside the Tower of Mastery. When I get inside, I find a large, majestic statue of a Lucario in a completely different form. Could this be Mega Lucario? I find a door at the bottom of it, and enter it, where I find Korrina with the Mega Evolution guru. He introduces himself, and says that he's an acquaintance of Professor Sycamore. He's surprised that there's only one of us, but Trevor and Tierno show up. They all introduced themselves, and the Mega Evolution Guru notices the Intriguing Stone I have. I honestly say that it was given to me. However, the Intriguing Stone is just a rock, he says. He then notices the hubbub, and leaves. Korrina says that Lucario is happy to see me, and we should go see what's going on too. However, it seems that Serena and Shauna are finally here. Everyone rejoices in their reunion, and Tierno asks who Korrina is. The Mega Evolution Guru reveals that Korrina is his granddaughter. Since everyone is here, he finally explains Mega Evolution to us. Mega Evolution is a new kind of Evolution that transcends all other Evolution. It is a transformation of Pokemon that were thought to be unable to evolve any further. It is a whole new level of power! Not all Pokemon have a Mega Evolution. Mega Evolution differs from Evolution because it ends after a certain amount of time. In other words, it is a temporary Evolution. It requires special items, and a strong bond between Pokemon and Trainer. To make Mega Evolution work, two items are required: a Mega Stone for the Pokemon, and the Mega Ring, which has a mysterious stone set in it, for the Trainer. Since Professor Sycamore entrusted all of us with a Pokedex, he would like to give these items to all of us... He'd like to share them with us, but... he only has one Mega Ring at the moment... It's a very precious item, and that's why his research isn't getting anywhere... He wants all of us to decide among ourselves which one of us will be the one who challenges the Mega Evolution Successor. Tierno automatically passes, and surprisingly Shauna passes. Trevor wants to complete the Pokedex first, so he passes. However, Serena still goes strong for the Mega Ring. She decides to battle me for it, and to see who Vaniville Town's best Trainer really is. Her goal is clear: To master Mega Evolution and set herself apart from other Trainers. She'll also do it for her Pokemon. She tells me that me and my Pokemon are stronger... However, she will not lose, no... She's going to win! No... You will fall... Just like the others! I will not lose... I will be victorious! Serena sends out Meowstic while I send out Grimsley. Grimsley fires a barrage of attacks, and eventually knocks out Meowstic in a few turns. Serena sends out Quilladin, but I send out Charles. Charles attacks Quilladin with Fire Fang twice, and finishes him off with Dragon Rage. Serena sends out Absol while I send out Grimsley again. I have Grimsley use Water Pulse, which confuses Absol. I finish the battle with another Water Pulse, and win the right to challenge the Mega Evolution Successor! Serena says that my bond with my Pokemon is powerful. She says that losing is frustrating, but... I'll definitely be able to evolve my Pokemon! Korrina then says that there may be winners and losers in a Pokemon battle, but in the end, we're all winners. Mega Evolution is nothing more than just one way to make Pokemon stronger. She also says that there are many Trainers who bring out the strength of their Pokemon without Mega Evolution. The Mega Evolution Guru tells me that I should challenge Korrina first before I battle the Mega Evolution Successor. Korrina says that Pokemon need a Mega Stone, and Pokemon Trainers need the Mega Ring. She says that her Lucario may have taken a shine to me, but now she must test me to see if I'm ready to challenge the Mega Evolution Successor. She says that she'll be waiting for me at the Gym, and leaves. Serena says that the professor will be happy if I study Mega Evolution. Mega Evolution is one way I can show mastery as a Trainer. She then leaves. Shauna, Tierno, and Trevor all agree to try to work to be the best Trainers they can be too. Tierno and Trevor leave, and the Mega Evolution Guru says that we don't need to compare things. Every living creature is unique. However, having someone to compete against and aim for greater heights with is a very fine thing. Shauna knows that me and Serena are now the main rivals on the field, and is glad that we're all traveling together. Time to head to the Shalour Gym! I enter the Shalour Gym, and find that it's a skating rink. The Gym guy says that all I have to do is battle the Roller Skaters and beat them. Every time I beat a trainer, a platform rises. Eventually, I beat all four Roller Skaters, and all of the platforms rise and allow me to grind to the middle platform. When I get to the middle platform, Korrina drops from above, and makes her dazzling entrance. Before I battle her, I head to Route 12 to train my Pokemon. After training my Pokemon for a little bit, I head to the Pokemon Center, where I find from Nurse Joy that one of my Pokemon has Pokerus! I check Mr. Muffintops to see if he has Pokerus, and he does! However, I check the rest of my team and ALL of them have Pokerus! After training my Pokemon, I head back to the Shalour Gym, and I go to the center platform. Korrina decides to skip the introduction, and we then battle. Let's get this show on the road! Korrina sends out Mienfoo, while I send out Grimsley. Grimsley attacks with Water Pulse, which knocks out Mienfoo after two hits. Korrina sends out Hawlucha, and Grimsley nearly faints from a Flying Press. Luckily, Grimsley knocks out Hawlucha in two hits, and Korrina sends out Machoke. I give Grimsley a Hyper Potion, and Grimsley attacks with a barrage of Water Pulses. Luckily, Machoke gets confused from the first Water Pulse, and hurts himself. After another Water Pulse, Machoke is down for the count, and I win the Gym battle! However... In this battle, all three starters leveled up to 36, which means... Grimsley evolves into... Greninja! Charles evolves into... Charizard! Combusken evolves into... Blaziken! Korrina admits defeat, and gives up her title- However she is only joking, and gives me the badge. *Trevo got the Rumble Badge!* She tells me that if I have a Rumble Badge, then Pokemon up to level 50 will obey me and my friends. Not only that, but I'll be able to use HM Surf outside of battle. She also gives me TM98 Power-Up Punch, and tells me that Power-Up Punch increases the user's attack stat every time it's used. She then asks me something important. She apologizes because if I want the Mega Ring, I'll have to make it up to the top of the Tower of Mastery. She apologizes to me again, and asks me a favor. She asks me to battle her again, but this time, it won't be just another Gym battle... She wants a battle between equals, as two Trainers who can use Mega Evolution. She tells me that she'll be waiting for me with Lucario at the top of the Tower of Mastery, and she rolls away on her Roller Skates. Time to head to the Tower of Mastery! Korrina... Is SHE the Mega Evolution Successor? I enter the Tower of Mastery, and the Mega Evolution guru tells me that the Mega Evolution Successor is waiting for me at the top of the tower. However, he spills that Korrina is, in fact, the Mega Evolution Successor. Time to climb the Tower of Mastery! I head to the stairs, and a karate guy blocks me. However, he recognizes my skill, and allows me to pass. I head to different rooms while climbing the tower, and I learn that the Mega Evolution Guru's real name is Gurkinn. I also learn the legend of Mega Evolution... Long, long ago, a Trainer came to this land accompanied by a Lucario. They found two strange stones. This is said to have led to the world's first Mega Evolution. I climb the stairs some more, and enter a different room where I learn that the Mega Evolution Guru is apparently a descendent of the first Trainer to evolve Lucario into its Mega Evolution. I climb more stairs, and enter another room, where I get TM47 Low Sweep. I also learn that Professor Sycamore trained here when he was younger to learn about Mega Evolution. However, he decided he didn't have what it takes, and left quickly. Professor Sycamore is a wuss. I climb the last stairs, and enter the last door... I find Korrina with her two Lucario, enjoying the view. Korrina says that when she's here with her Pokemon, looking at the wide-open sky above, all her worries disappear, and she feels like she can do anything. She thanks me for coming all the way up to the top, and she tells me that it was decided that this must be the place where the Mega Ring is handed over. She says that the reason is because we as Trainers must make sure we never forget to set our sights as high as the sky. She then gives me the Mega Ring, which is actually in the shape of a bracelet. *Trevo got the Mega Ring, and equipped it on his left wrist!* She tells me to give my Pokemon the right Mega Stone, and try battling with it. She says that my Pokemon will surely answer to the call of the Mega Ring. She then looks over to her left, and finds that Lucario wants to battle alongside with me! She's honestly a bit shocked that some traveling Trainer seems to have a stronger bond with that Lucario than she does... She then asks me if I'll battle alongside Lucario against her and her Lucario. She tells me that they both have the Lucarionite in hand, so let's begin the battle! Korrina... I will show you what it takes to be a true master of Mega Evolution! The background is filled with rainbows, the music is different, and the day is young! Korrina sends out Lucario, and so do I! I call forth Lucario, and Mega Evolve him. Korrina also Mega Evolves her Lucario, but her victory is short lived when my Mega Lucario knocks her Mega Lucario out with a critical hit Power-Up Punch. With that said, I win the battle! Korrina is greatly impressed, and says that both Mega Lucario didn't hold anything back. She tells me that with strong bonds, Mega Evolution is easy. However, she tells me that it would be best if I took Lucario along with me on my journey, as it's easy to tell that we make an awesome team. I take Lucario, and name him Lucas. Looks like I have another member on my team! Korrina tells me that as long as Pokemon and Trainers have the kindness to care for each other and give each other courage, the world will be full of smiles. I then leave, and head downstairs. I then leave the Tower of Mastery. Just as I am about to leave Shalour City, Serena shows up and gives me HM03 Surf! She tells me that with HM Surf, I can now travel by water. She tells me that it's kind of amazing how a person like me came to Kalos and ended up traveling with her. She calls it destiny, I call it fate. She then runs off, and I head for Route 12. Serena... Such a strange girl. Sadly, she'll never be as powerful as me, and she'll just have to accept the truth. Enough chatter... Onward to the next city! Current Pokemon Stats: Well, there's been another simultaneous evolution, as three of my starter Pokemon evolved. They learned some new moves too! Since Lucas joined the team, I'm going to start putting my team in rotation, like how I'm doing it with my Reborn Journey. Speaking of that, I still need to finish the next chapter... Greninja Name: Grimsley Level: 36 Moves: Round, Lick, Water Pulse, Water Shuriken Charizard Name: Charles Level: 36 Moves: Wing Attack, Dragon Rage, Flame Burst, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 36 Moves: Nuzzle, Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Electro Ball Blaziken Name: Blaziken Level: 36 Moves: Bulk Up, Peck, Double Kick, Blaze Kick Lucario Name: Lucas Level: 32 Moves: Power-Up Punch, Swords Dance, Metal Sound, Bone Rush Tyrunt Name: Bowser Level: 29 Moves: Rock Smash, Stealth Rock, Bite, Strength Aerodactyl Name: Ridley Level: 26 Moves: Bite, Scary Face, Ancient Power, Agility
Tringus
Chapter X: The Aquatic Azure Bay, And The Peaceful Coumarine City! I head to Route 12, or Fourrage Road, and I find that it's not blocked off anymore. I talk to the Pokemon Breeder next to the sign, and he tells me that he has a Lapras who saved his life from drowning. However, he can't afford to travel around and show it the wide world beyond Route 12. He notices my Rumble Badge, and asks me if I could have Lapras instead. I take the Lapras, and name it Deliverance in honor of Amaria's Lapras. He then releases Lapras as he hands it to me. I teach Lapras Surf, and surf across to the other side. I battle some Trainers along the way, until I reach a farm of Skiddos. I go inside the house, where I get TM45 Attract from a young girl. I then head inside the Skiddo farm, and ride on a Skiddo, which is freakishly fast! I battle the rest of the Trainers on Route 12 until it's time to leave Skiddo behind. I surf on Lapras, until I find Azure Bay, and then I battle the Trainers that are there. After I beat the trainers, I surf until I find a beach with an old man on it. He asks me if I have a Mega Ring, because he has a Mega Stone that is reacting to it. He then gives it to me, and says that I'm better off having it than he is. The Mega Stone is an Ampharosite, which allows Ampharos to Mega Evolve. I battle the rest of the people there, and sail back to Route 12, where I enter Coumarine City. As soon as I enter Coumarine City, I get a Holo Clip from Serena. She says that she challenges me to a battle right in front of the Gym! She tells me to prepare myself, and the Holo Clip ends. I find a fisherman who gives me a Good Rod. I go on a hill, and a girl gives me TM63 Embargo for guessing a TM right. I then head to the Coumarine Hotel, and I get the Lucky Egg from a woman (Finally!) I then head upstairs, and guess who I find? Surprisingly, I do not find Mr. Bonding, but the Game Freak Director! I then head to the Coumarine Monorail Station, and find Professor Sycamore and Diantha waiting for me! Professor Sycamore congratulates me for finally obtaining everything I need for Mega Evolution. A Mega Stone for the Pokemon, a Mega Ring for the Trainer, and a strong bond with Pokemon. Diantha is surprised by the last part, but however, it is only a hypothesis. However, the Professor thinks that the bond between Pokemon and Trainer is the key to this new Evolution. However, he asks questions about Mega Evolution, and says that there's still so much to learn. Diantha asks if Mega Evolution has anything to do with Kalos's Legendary Pokemon, as they are also exclusive in the Kalos region. Professor Sycamore then realizes that he came to give me HM02 Fly (FINALLY!) He tells me to use it to fly to any Pokemon Center I've already been to. He then bids me and Diantha farewell. Diantha then talks to me about her acting, and how she tries to form a bond between herself and her character. She then realizes she's babbling, and tells me that the next time we meet, we should battle. She then leaves too. However, just before I board the Monorail Train, I learn that Lumoise City hasn't been getting enough power from the Kalos Power Plant. Odd... I head to the Pokemon Center after riding the Monorail Train, and find Mr. Bonding HERE. He's in a corner, facing the wall, doing who knows what. After 'Bonding' with me, he leaves. In this city, there are a lot of Unova references, from Dr. Fennel, to sad, sad, memory music from Black and White, Black and White 2. I head to the front of the Coumarine Gym, and Serena pops up from behind me! The reason why she wants to battle me is because she wants to see what I can do with Mega Evolution. Girl, I'll show you what Mega Evolution is all about... Serena sends out Meowstic, while I send out Grimsley. Grimsley knocks out Meowstic after a few Water Pulses. Serena sends out Quilladin, while I send out Blaziken, who I Mega Evolve, and beat the crap out of Quilladin with Blaze Kick, and Quilladin burns to death. Serena sends out Absol, who I obliterate with Blaziken's Blaze Kick. Once again, Serena gets whooped. Serena is probably getting furious and annoyed by now, cause I keep beating her. Every. Single. Time. She wishes me luck, and leaves. With that said, I heal my Pokemon, and enter the Coumarine Gym... What type of Gym Leader will I face next? Current Pokemon Stats: Well, not much has changed, except for the fact that a new member has joined us. Say hello to Deliverance! Oh, and also the others leveled up a bit, nothing special. Greninja Name: Grimsley Level: 39 Moves: Round, Lick, Water Pulse, Water Shuriken Charizard Name: Charles Level: 38 Moves: Wing Attack, Dragon Rage, Flame Burst, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 37 Moves: Nuzzle, Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Electro Ball Blaziken Name: Blaziken Level: 40 Moves: Hone Claws, Peck, Double Kick, Blaze Kick Lucario Name: Lucas Level: 36 Moves: Power-Up Punch, Swords Dance, Metal Sound, Bone Rush Tyrunt Name: Bowser Level: 29 Moves: Rock Smash, Stealth Rock, Bite, Strength Aerodactyl Name: Ridley Level: 26 Moves: Bite, Scary Face, Ancient Power, Agility

Tringus
Chapter XI: Old Man Ramos, The Grass Loving Flower! I head inside the Coumarine Gym, and I find that it's a giant tower, and I have to climb and swing on ropes to reach Ramos, the Gym Leader. The Gym is essentially a garden playground. I guess he made it to prove that we're all little kids compared to him. I talk to the Gym guy, and find that it's a Grass-type Gym. And that means, that it's time to send Charles and Blaziken to do the job. The Gym is filled with Pokemon Rangers, who I beat swift and easy with my two Fire-types. Essentially, my plan in this Gym is to train Charles. because Blaziken has enough training already. Besides, if I wanted to, I can just go to the Battle Chateau to train. Doing this, I go and defeat all of the Pokemon Rangers in the Gym, and then climb to the top. I find Ramos at the top, and find that he has a LOT of books in his room. I switch out Charles for Lucas, because now it's time to train Lucas. I go and talk to Ramos, who flips his gardening scissors, and introduces himself as Ramos. He asks me what I thought of his Gym and calls me a whippersnapper. He asks if I enjoyed the garden playground he made with all the sturdy plants of his. He says that their strength is a sign of his strength as a gardener and a Gym Leader. He asks me if I'm sure I'm up to facing all that, and the battle begins. Oh you know I'm ready for it, Ramos. Let's do this! Ramos sends out Jumpluff while I send out Lucas. I Mega Evolve Lucas, and have him use Swords Dance. He survives an Acrobatics attack, and then uses Power-Up Punch on Jumpluff two times to knock him out. Ramos then sends out Gogoat, who faints immediately from Power-Up Punch. Ramos sends out Weepinbell, who faints from Lucas' Bone Rush shortly, allowing me to win the battle! Ramos gives me a word of advice, and gives me $5,440. He says that if I believe in my Pokemon, they'll believe in me too. He gives me the badge, and calls me sprout. *Trevo got the Plant Badge!* Ramos tells me that if I have a Plant Badge, I can use the HM Fly even when I'm not battling. He also tells me that Pokemon up to level 60 will listen to me, even if I got them from a trade. He also gives me TM86 Grass Knot, and says that the heavier the opponent, the harder it'll fall, and the more it'll hurt. He states that even frail little blades of grass can break through concrete, something he admires greatly. A little door opens, opening the way down. And how do I get down? SLIDING DOWN A SLIDE. Yup, Ramos has truly made a garden playground. Now it's time to teach Charles Fly, and catch 'em all! After that, I'll go see what's wrong with the Kalos Power Plant! Current Pokemon Stats: Well, not much has changed, except Charles grew a few levels and learned Fly. DANG this chapter is short! Greninja Name: Grimsley Level: 39 Moves: Round, Lick, Water Pulse, Water Shuriken Charizard Name: Charles Level: 40 Moves: Fly, Dragon Rage, Flame Burst, Smokescreen Pikachu Name: Mr. Muffintops Level: 37 Moves: Nuzzle, Thunderbolt, Quick Attack, Electro Ball Blaziken Name: Blaziken Level: 40 Moves: Hone Claws, Peck, Double Kick, Blaze Kick Lucario Name: Lucas Level: 36 Moves: Power-Up Punch, Swords Dance, Metal Sound, Bone Rush Tyrunt Name: Bowser Level: 29 Moves: Rock Smash, Stealth Rock, Bite, Strength Aerodactyl Name: Ridley Level: 26 Moves: Bite, Scary Face, Ancient Power, Agility
Tringus
Chapter XII: The Kalos Power Plant Conspiracy! Well, I didn't exactly get to catch a LOT of Pokemon... BUT... I caught my first shiny!!! Out of the blue, I found a Shiny Espurr, and caught it! She MIGHT join the team, she might not. Anyways, On with the story! After a month of doing nothing but wallow in boredom, I continue my quest. After beating the fourth Gym Leader, I set out to Route 13. However, as soon as I get to the gate, I get a Holo Clip from Lysandre. He tells me that he was informed by Professor Sycamore that I can now wield Mega Evolution, which I have been using many times. MANY. He says that is truly wonderful, and says that with Mega Evolution, I can steer my future in a better direction. He says that we can't just cover up old filth with new filth, and he implores me to consider what we need to do to change the world into a new, beautiful world. The Holo Clip ends, and once again, I am speechless by what Lysandre said. Lysandre... What is he trying to do? I head to the gate, and I find out that something's wrong in Lumiose City. Apparently, there is a power outage there! Just as I'm about to head to Route 13, Dexio and Sina are waiting for me. Dexio tells me that they were on their way to the Kalos Power Plant at Professor Sycamore's request. However, the gate connecting Lumiose City to Route 13 has been shut by a mysterious power outage. That's why those two are going to investigate. Sina asks me what comes next after Central Kalos and Coastal Kalos. Dexio tells me that it's Mountain Kalos, and they upgrade my Pokedex again with the Mountain Kalos Pokedex. Sina notices that I look a bit different somehow, and asks if I'm more mature. However, she is only joking, and they leave. Strange rich kids... I head out to Route 13, or Lumiose Badlands, and I can see why it's called Lumiose Badlands. The whole route has no grass, only cold, hard, rock. I find a few small metal huts with dorr, but a pass is needed to access both. Perhaps these are entrances to the Kalos Power Plant? Eventually, I find another one, and I also find a bridge with a Team Flare grunt on it! Perhaps Team Flare is involved with the Kalos Power Plant? I beat the grunt, and he runs away. However, he realizes that he dropped his Power Plant Pass somewhere. He then pretty much tells me where he dropped his pass, and I go and get it. Unfortunately, he doesn't have a Dowsing Machine, but lucky for me, I do, and I don't need one now that he told me where it is! I find the Power Plant Pass, open the door that is past the grunt, and sneak into the Kalos Power Plant. Just what is Team Flare up to this time? I head down a large corridor, and climb stairs that lead me to another room. As soon as I go into the other room, a grunt shows up with a knock knock joke, and seriously wonders who I am. He then states that only authorized personnel are allowed in here, which is hypocritical, considering that Team Flare is also here. I beat the grunt, and he reveals that Team Flare is busy redirecting the power that's supposed to go to Lumiose City. He then threatens me, telling me not to get in their way. I head into the room on my right, and I find all of the staff of the Power Plant trapped in there. However, in that room, I also find the Zap Plate. Perhaps it will be useful one day... I get out of the room, and continue to investigate. I battle the grunt blocking the way to the next room, and I beat her. I then enter a room, and I find that it's huge. When I go to choose a path, I am stopped by a Team Flare grunt. I beat him, but he blocks the right path, so I have no choice but to take the left path. I head around the room, beating grunts in my way. Most of the grunts are women, which may foreshadow on who I'm going to be facing last. Eventually, I defeat all of the grunts, and I'm all the way to the middle of the room. I climb the stairs, and I find a man with white clothes and a Team Flare member who looks different than the grunts, and wears an orange visor. It seems that they're standing in front of a reactor. The man asks the woman how much longer they have to take the energy, and the woman tells him that if he's just interested in the facts, then they already have enough energy to power the device. The man is pleased, and tells her that they should finish up and move out, and says that there's still more work to be done. The woman asks him what he means by other work, and she then notices me, and asks him if he means taking me out. The man notices, and he didn't think anyone remained here after they dealt with the workers. He then battles me, and it turns out that he is a Team Flare Admin. I beat his Houndoom with Grimsley, and the admin tells the woman to deal with me, and she takes great pleasure in doing so. I talk to her, and she introduces herself as Aliana. She is one of Team Flare's Scientists, and she is researching a certain something that I wouldn't seem to understand, according to her. Unfortunately for me, she has been charged with the simple task of my elimination. Who's the higher rank, you, Aliana, or that admin? Team Flare Scientist Aliana sends out Mightyena, while I send out Grimsley. Grimsley wipes out Mightyena with Surf, and I win the battle easily. After the battle, Aliana is impressed, and says that she didn't expect me to be so interesting. Surprisngly, she actually hopes she can meet me again... Team Flare then retreat, and the two rich kids show up with scarves. Dexio wears a blue scarf, as opposed to his blue tie, while Sina wears a red scarf, as opposed to her red tie. However, they also wear masks, as Dexio wears a blue mask, and Sina wears a red mask. They're surprised that I chased off Team Flare, and they say that there's always room for more defenders of Kalos. They thank me by healing my Pokemon (Which didn't really need to be healed...) Sina says that me and my Pokemon are the ultimate team, and Dexio tells me not to push myself to hard, and gives me Full Restores. He says that thanks to me, the power is back on in Lumiose City. Now people can pass through the gate connecting Route 13 to Lumiose City again. Sina says that they will be off, and says that they're mysterious people, which I don't buy. She says that she leaves before being left, and she decides. They bid me farewell, and I head back to the room with all of the workers. The construction worker gives me TM43 Flame Charge, the woman gives me a Magnet, and I buy some Fresh Water. After I get thanked, I leave the Kalos Power Plant. I head outside, and find the Flame Plate after hopping some ledges. I then head to the stairs that were blocked before, and I find an extremely tall man that looks like a hobo. He talks about a Flower Pokemon, and says that the Pokemon was given eternal life. After he mutters to himself, he walks off. I head to the gate, and enter Lumiose City. What a strange man... Did something happen to him? No matter, time to head into Lumiose City! Current Pokemon Stats: Let's give a big welcome to Eris the Espurr! She's sassy, somewhat vain, and has a Keen Eye on the boys, if you know what I mean. And her MOVES. That just proves she is the Diva of the group. She is probably going to be one of the main team members, joining Grimsley, Charles, Mr. Muffintops, Blaziken, and Lucas. Bowser and Ridley are there, but not as important. However, Eris may also be switched with Gardevoir and Malamar from time to time, so that's why this team will be rotational. As for other news, most of the team lefveled up to at least 45, with Grimsley leveling up to 48. Most of the team also learned new moves as well, and since Grimsley has Surf now, Lapras will be put in the PC. Tringus
Chapter XIII: Lumiose City Restored, Clemont The Inventor, And Lysandre's Dream! I head into Lumiose City, and Shauna calls me, and runs over to me. She says that she ran after me like crazy when she spotted me up ahead. She heard that the power's back on in Lumiose City, and that some really bad people were stealing electricity from the Kalos Power Plant. she tells me that somebody came and stopped them. She says that nobody knows who stopped them, and asks me who I think it was. I'll keep it a secret, because me and the rich kids are the only ones who know. Well, other than Team Flare, of course, because I'm the guy who whooped their butts. I tell her that I did, and she's shocked. She tells me that they're going to light the tower, and drags me along with her to go see it. ANOTHER ROMANTIC MOMENT!!! She says that straight ahead is the Prism Tower. I run straight to Prism Tower, and Shauna meets up with me. We arrive with good timing, because they're just about to turn on the lights. However, we spot Clemont, who is Lumiose City's Gym Leader, and Bonnie, his little sister! Shauna says that Clemont is also good at inventing things, and he makes all kinds of devices. The best part is that Shauna actually knows them, because they're her friends! Bonnie asks Clemont if he's done with the lights yet, and Clemont says that he's not done yet, because he has to check the lighting circuit here. Bonnie notices me and Shauna, and asks me if I'm a challenger. She asks me if I can wait a moment, and calls Clemont, who announces that everything's ready. "The future is now, thanks to science!" -Clemont, 2013 and 2014 How famous is that quote? It's even in the games. Clemont activates Prism Tower's lighting system, and the whole tower lights up. Shauna is feeling entranced, and says that now she has another great memory with me. More like another ROMANTIC memory! Clemont is intrigued, and says that his Prism Tower lighting system worked brilliantly, just like all his inventions, while Bonnie's just standing there like a dope, saying whatever. She reminds him that he has challengers waiting for him, and she tells us that Prism Tower itself is Lumiose City's Pokemon Gym! Clemont and Bonnie head inside, and Shauna is still amazed by Clemont's inventions. He even gave Shauna one that solves puzzles, but she says it's always feels like a shame to use it, so she hasn't yet. She wishes me luck, and I explore the city. I need to get some new clothes, so I head to Boutique Coiture, but I get DENIED to enter the store, because I'm 'not stylish'. What is this, TEAM FLARE?!? Anyways, I need to be stylish, and what better way to be stylish than to get a job at a fancy hotel? I head to Hotel Richissime, and guess who I find? Mr. Bonding... But first, I go up to the desk, and the lady all of a sudden asks me if I want to work here. I take the job, and I do room service first. What I have to do is correctly guess the orders of the customers. I do it so perfectly, I get paid a lot. I then make beds, and I do that job perfectly to. Finally, I do Lost and Found duty, and I do that job perfectly as well. I explore the hotel, and I get TM49 Echoed Voice on the Deluxe Suite. Not only that, but according to the maids, these pillars are thick... Innuendo, much? Anyways, I go ahead and talk to Mr. Bonding, and I head outside. I find a roller skater, and she teaches me how to do a back flip. Then, I decide to go to a restaurant to battle some trainers. After I battle some trainers there, I explore back to Boutique Coiture. On the way, I discover more innuendos, and just head straight to the store. I then head into Stone Emporium, and there's this guy who is a HUGE fan of me. He tries selling me the Blastoisinite for $500,000. I leave, and go somewhere else. I then stumble upon the place where you can make Pokemon VIne videos, and so I make a 10-second video about how awesome I am. After my video, I talk to the girl near the green screen, and she gives me the Lens Case. After that, I battle at another restaurant. Then, I battle some trainers in the alleys, and head to Lumiose Press, where Alexa gives me a tour of Lumiose City. After that, I head back to Boutique Coiture, and I finally get acknowledged that I'm stylish! I head then head to the Lumiose City Gym. I talk to the Gym guy, and he says that to get to Clemont, I have to go through a series of quizzes. I then head up the elevator, and I find myself in a quiz marathon-like room, and Bonnie is the host. She introduces herself (I already know who she is), and she says that she's Clemont's little sister (Again, I already know). She says that I have to guess the correct answer to pass. The first question... is a question of "Who's that Pokemon?" with a silhouette of Pikachu. I head to the correct elevator door, and get it right. I beat the nerd, and head up to the third floor, where I have to guess which Pokemon is Fletchling. I get it right, and beat the girl. I head to the fourth floor, where I have to guess which Pokemon is Panpour, which is tricky than it seems. I then guess Panpour right, and head up to the fifth floor, where I have to guess which order Vivillon was said. Vivillon was second, and I got it right, allowing me to head to the next floor... I head to the next floor, and I see Clemont and Bonnie. Clemont thanks me for coming, and he introduces himself. However, before he introduces himself, Bonnie interrupts, and introduces him by herself. Bonnie says that he's really strong, which makes him scold her by telling her that it doesn't matter if he or anyone else is strong, and says that none of us would be here if it weren't for our Pokemon. Bonnie says that she hopes that we have an awesome battle, and Clemont says that she's right, and says that we should both do our best in battle. A machine then pops out from his backpack, and the battle begins. Let's do our best, Clemont! Let's shock this town! Clemont sends out Emolga, while I send out Grimsley. Grimsley knocks out Emolga with Extrasensory, and Clemont sends out Magneton, so I switch and send out Blaziken, who I Mega Evolve, and have him use Hone Claws. Meanwhile, Magneton uses Electric Terrain. Blaziken then knocks out Magneton in four hits with Blaze Kick, because Magneton has Sturdy, and Clemont gives Magneton two Hyper Potions. Meanwhile, the Electric Terrain disappears, and Clemont sends out Heliosk, who Blaziken knocks out with Blaze Kick. Clemont is defeated, yet inspired at the same time, and I win the battle! Bonnie is ashamed that Clemont lost, who tells Bonnie that there is no shame in losing. In fact, he's glad whenever he gets to learn something new thanks to strong challengers like me. They then turn to me, and Clemont gives me the Voltage Badge. *Trevo got the Voltage Badge!* Clemont tells me that if I have a Voltage Badge, I will be seen as a friend and equal by any Pokemon up to level 70. He also gives me TM24 Thunderbolt, and Bonnie explains what it does. Clemont gets annoyed at Bonnie, and then exclaims his trademark quote, as he beholds the machine that gives: Technical Machines! However, he said that because he just wanted to be able to say it at least once. he then tells me that he's not just trying to make himself stronger, but all he's trying to do is enjoy every day to the fullest with his Pokemon, while doing the science that he loves with his inventing. Meanwhile, Bonnie tells me to keep whipping her brother into shape. I then head down to the first floor, and leave the Gym. As soon as I get out of the Gym, I receive a Holo Clip from Professor Sycamore, who asks me to come to Lysandre Cafe. He tells me that it's outside the Pokemon Center right by Prism Tower, and says that it's the red cafe, due to Lysandre's love for red. He tells me to hop on a Taxi if I can't find it, and he ends the Holo Clip. I then head to Lysandre Cafe, where I find Professor Sycamore and Lysandre himself. Professor Sycamore calls me over, and tells me that he was just having a conversation with Lysandre about Mega Evolution. Lysandre says that he would also like to congratulate me as well, and says that Mega Evolution is something he, too, would like to be able to use. Professor Sycamore reveals that Lysandre himself is of royal ancestry, and says that he truly is a chosen one. Lysandre says that he is a descendent of the king's younger brother. However, the story is 3,000 years old, so it may not be entirely reliable. Professor Sycamore turns to me, and asks me if I know where the Holo Caster is made, which I already know, considering that Serena told me earlier. The Holo Caster is made directly from Lysandre's lab. He states that Lysandre is a great man, and says that Lysandre supports Trainers and Pokemon research with some of the profit from the Holo Caster. Lysandre says that people can be divided into two groups: Those who give, and those who take... He says that it's just as how the Kalos region's two Legendary Pokemon gave life and took life. Lysandre says that he wants to be the kind of person who gives... But in this world, some foolish humans exist who would show their strength by taking what isn't theirs, and shouts that they're filth. Long, long ago, the king of Kalos sought to take everything for his own, and he created a terrible weapon... Then the fire of destruction was unleashed... That is the legend that has been passed down. Lysandre declares that Kalos is beautiful right now, and also declares that there will be no foolish actions if the number of people and Pokemon do not increase. That being said, the future isn't decided. He says that I can be sure each day will be like the one before. He then says that what the king of Kalos did was reprehensible, but... The ultimate weapon did manage to wash the world clean of that era's filth. He then walks up to me, and hands me a King's Rock, something that I'm actually going to use. He then walks back to where he was standing, and thanks me for listening. He says that I should take the King's Rock as an apology for taking up my time, and leaves. Professor Sycamore is inspired by what Lysandre has said, and says that Lysandre is passionate like a blazing flame. Perhaps his pride in his lineage is what makes him burn so intensely. Professor Sycamore then states that what Lysandre says is only one way of looking at things... It's not necessarily the truth. He then tells me that what's truly important is the time I spend together with others. Well, I've already spent a few romantic moments with Shauna... Heh heh... Professor Sycamore tells me to treasure these moments spent traveling the Kalos region with my Pokemon. I then leave Lysandre's Cafe. Lysandre... Burning intensely... And Team Flare... Fire... Could these two be one and the same? Oh well, onward to the next town! Current Pokemon Stats: Well, almost everyone grew a few levels, and some even learned new moves. Sapphire
Thanks for the update. You clearly aren't stylish enough for you to get the Blastoisnite any cheaper. =D
Tringus
Sadly, I'm not. I tried all sorts of things, and then I get trolled by the lady saying that I am indeed, not stylish. Then again, who needs style?
Tringus
Chapter XIV: A Friendly Reunion, And The Scary House! As soon as I get out of Lysandre's Cafe, I get a Holo Clip from Trevor. The ginger kid asks how I've been, because he hasn't seen me in a LONG time. He tells me that we're all going to meet on Route 14, and wants me to join them. He then leaves, and the Holo Clip ends. I buy some new clothes, then I head to Route 14, or Laverre Nature Trail, where I meet up with Trevor and Serena. I head over to where they are, and Serena says hello. Trevor tells me that they were just comparing how complete their Pokedexes are, and he won. Serena says that she'll leave filling up the Pokedex to us, because she doesn't like it when everyone does the same thing. Trevor tells me that me and him should compare how many Pokemon we've seen, just like we always do. However, he puts me at a REAL disadvantage by wanting to compare how many Pokemon we've seen in the Mountain Kalos Pokedex. He says that in a way, he's challenging me to his own kind of Pokemon battle. However, it shows that I've seen 18, which means he LOST. He's surprised I've seen Gible, and says that just knowing about the same Pokemon as someone else can sure make you happy. Serena says that there sure are many different kinds of Pokemon in Kalos. However, Serena then challenges me to a Pokemon battle! Bring it on, Serena. I'm only going to win like I always do. Serena sends out Meowstic, while I send out Grimsley. Meowstic flinches Grimsley with Fake Out, but then Grimsley knocks out Meowstic with Surf. Serena sends out Chesnaught, who gets knocked out from Grimsley's Extrasensory. Serena then sends out Absol, who faints from Grimsley's critical hit Surf. I win the battle, and Serena is starting to get annoyed of losing. After the battle, Shauna shows up, and is amazed by the battle. Serena is surprised, and asked when she started to watch. Shauna asks where Tierny (Tierno) is, and Trevor says that he's at the Fighting Dojo. Tierno then shows up late, and he says that he was having so much fun with a sparring dance that he totally lost track of time. Serena asks Tierno if he has found any good Pokemon for his dance team, and Tierno happily says that he has, and that he's super close to his ideal dance team. Shauna is happy for him, and says that we should all go to the scary house. Wait a minute... WHAT SCARY HOUSE?!? Trevor asks if it's the one by Laverre City, and asks if it's just a rumor. However, Shauna says that we're all going to find out if the rumor's true together. Serena says that she'll pass, and assures that it's just a rumor, and she wants to spend some time with her Pokemon before heading to Laverre City. She runs off, and it looks like we have a WUSSY IN THE GROUP!!! XD Anyways... Tierno asks if the scary house is really that scary, and Trevor says that we should go see for ourselves. He says that there's always some reason rumors like that get started, and then leaves with Tierno, leaving me alone with Shauna. She then follows them, but stops to ask me why am I traveling. She says that everyone is working really hard at what they want to do, but she's just all about memories, and says that she's kinda just goofing around. What she MEANS to say is that she wants to have a little fun, if you know what I mean... However, she says that she's just kidding, and runs off. DANG IT SHAUNA, NOW YOU GOT ME THINKING! It starts to rain, and I find an abandoned playground. I follow the others, and it looks like they've ran through the woods. I battle a few trainers, and I get a few items, such as TM06 Toxic, and eventually, I catch up to the others, as Shauna comes out of nowhere, and takes me to the Scary House. Trevor says that we should go inside, and Tierno freaks out, and asks if he's serious. Trevor says that Serena is off spending time with her Pokemon, so we'll just have to go in with out her and see if the rumor is true by ourselves... Shauna agrees, and says that we should go inside by ourselves. We then head inside... We then find an old man, and he tells his story... "It was a dark and stormy night many years ago. Lost, I arrived at this house and went inside. The lights would not turn on, so I fearfully looked around the house. Eventually, I made my way into the kitchen. There was no sign of anyone being there... I found the fridge, and when I opened it, a faint light leaked out. I could finally make out my surroundings. And I saw the faint outline of a man huddling in the corner of the room. I tried to tell him that I was lost and I was hoping he'd let me stay until morning, but when I approached him... The man suddenly screamed, "Stay back!" I apologized and continued to plead my case. :Please, can't you help me?" "I'm not talking to you!" he shouted. I looked at the man in surprise. When I did this, the man asked me... "Can't you see them? Behind you!" "A horde of faceless men!"" Since he told a wonderful story that will always haunt us... He asks us to tip him. He says that if we don't, we might see something really scary... Shauna is shocked that he is CHARGING us, and the man says that even haunted houses aren't free. Out of complete curiosity, I don't tip the man. Shauna wants to get out of here, and Tierno wakes up from his nap (I think he was sleeping...). Trevor asks the man if the story he just told us was really true, and we just leave. Shauna is still spooked, and Trevor says that was kinda like camping for Shauna. He says that people usually tell scary stories by the campfire. Tierno says that he's had enough of dark places and scary things, and he says he'd rather rehearse his dances, and so he leaves to do that. Shauna decides to go to Laverre City next, and Trevor leaves. I head back inside the house to find the truth, but the man says that it's best if the truth went to the grave... Which probably means it was true! I then head outside of Route 14, and into Laverre City. First thing I do when I get to the city is talk to a little boy, who gives me TM41 Torment. I then head to the Pokemon Center... Only to find Mr. Bonding in a corner near the dressing room... AGAIN... He gives me another O-Power and leaves. I then explore the rest of the city, and I find many items, including the Gengarite from a Hex Maniac! I also learn that there is a GYM here! Time to hit the Gym! Current Pokemon Stats: Not much has changed. Grimsley only got a few more levels up, and that's about it. Tringus
Chapter XV: Fairy Princess Valerie, And The Mysterious Laverre City! When I head inside the Laverre City Gym, I see that everything looks like a doll house. And the outside of the Gym is a tree! I talk to the Gym Guy, who says that this Gym has some truly confounding conundrums. He tells me that this Gym is a Fairy-type Gym, which I have never seen before! He then tells me that to get around the Gym and to get to the Gym Leader, I have to hop on warp panels, but I will have no idea where I'll land. Well, actually, they all have fixed destinations, of course. I hop on the left warp panel, and head into the living room. I battle Furisode Girl here, and then I head to the next warp panel. It takes me to the study room, and I battle another Furisode Girl, and beat her team. I then go to the top-left warp panel, which takes me to the dining room, where I fight another Furisode Girl. I beat her team, and then something amazing happens... Eris evolves into... Meowstic! I then use the bottom-right warp panel, and it takes me into a bedroom, where I find another Furisode Girl. I beat her team, and then I head to the next warp panel, which takes me to the Gym Leader's room. However, I don't battle the Gym Leader yet, because I explore the rest of the Gym. There's a bathroom, an sewing room, and a vanity room. After exploring the rest of the Gym Leader's lovely home, I go to the Gym Leader's room. When I get to the Gym Leader's room, I find a girl with black hair, and pink wings. I talk to her, and she is delighted to see a new challenger. she says that I have flown all the way through her Gym, fluttering down to her on a fortunate wind. She then says that I have earned myself the right to a battle as a reward for my efforts. She introduces herself as Valerie, who leads this Fairy-type Gym. She hopes that my visit will prove entertaining to me... I wonder what she means by that... She tells me that the elusive Fairy types may appear as frail as a breeze and delicate as a bloom, but they are strong. Fairy-types... This will be interesting... I'm going to enjoy this! Valerie sends out Mawile, while I send out Blaziken. I Mega Evolve Blaziken, and he uses Hone Claws to get some accuracy, while Mawile uses Iron Defense. However, this doesn't do anything, because Blaziken burns Mawile to a crisp with Blaze Kick. Valerie sends out Mr. Mime, who faints from Blaziken's Blaze Kick. Valerie sends out Sylveon, while I switch Blaziken out for Grimsley, who strikes with a Surf and Extrasensory, while nearly getting knocked out by Sylveon's Dazzling Gleam. Valerie gives Sylveon a Hyper Potion, and Grimsley nearly knocks out Syveon with Surf. Valerie gives Sylveon another Hyper Potion, and eventually, Sylveon gets knocked out by Surf. Valerie is sad over her loss, but I win the battle! Valerie says that was a fine battle, and rewards me with the Fairy Badge for my great victory. She says that the Fairy Badge's beauty is captivating. However, she got captivated by the badge's beauty, that she forgot for a moment that it is my badge now. *Trevo got the Fairy Badge!* Valerie tells me that this captivating Fairy Badge will endear any Pokemon up to level 80 to me... Even those Pokemon that I may receive from others will obey me. She also awards me with TM99 Dazzling Gleam as a personal gift from her. She can't seem to recall any longer what move is contained in that TM, but I forgive her. She says that her designs are said to be rather mystifying. She tells me that she's always wanted to be a Pokemon, which is her desire that is her inspiration and what she tries to achieve by designing. And yet...the only time she feels like she is truly one with Pokemon is when they are embroiled in a desperate battle. She wonders why that is, and realizes something, but doesn't explain, as it is nothing of my concern. I head onto the blue warp panel back to the entrance, and I leave. As soon as I leave, Shauna and Trevor run over to me, and are happy to see that I have the Fairy Badge. She tells me that they're going to go tour the Poke Ball Factory, and says that I should go with them! Trevor says that he's interested in Poke Balls because they're used to catch Pokemon, and he is utterly fascinated by them. They leave, and I follow them. There's something I don't like about this tour... Current Pokemon Stats: Not much has changed. However, Eris evolved from Diva to Mega Diva, and learned a few new moves, Charles and Blaziken grew one level, and I'm going to be getting some new clothes soon! Tringus
Chapter XVI: The Poke Ball Factory Conspiracy! After Shauna and Trevor invite me to the Poke Ball Factory tour with them, I follow them, only to find them talking about how some man let them in. Shauna says that he's going to go ask the man again to see if he'll let them in, and Trevor chases after her. Serena and Tierno show up after he follows her, and Tierno asks if Shaunee (Shauna) and Trevs (Trevor, though we already knew about this one), went running off just now. He wonders what's the deal, and Serena says that they were supposed to meet here too... Just then, a scream is heard, and Serena and Trevor run past us with a Team Flare grunt chasing them, ordering them to stop! Tierno wonders what's going on, and runs off to help them. Serena recognizes Team Flare, and says that there might be something happening inside. She says that we should go check it out while the guard is gone, and we head inside... I head inside, only to find a Team Flare grunt in front of me. She's mad that the guard failed to guard the door, and says that they're not offering tours right now. Serena shows up, and asks if she's a member of Team Flare since she has a red suit. She asks if the grunt had to take a part-time job at the Poke Ball Factory to pay for the ugly suit, and the grunt is mocked. She then battles us, but Serena covers for me. I battle a grunt, but he's blocking my path, so I ride the conveyor belt to battle the other grunts. Eventually I make my way to a flight of stairs, and walk across the beams, and find my way to a room where all of the workers are being held. I then heal my Pokemon, and find a switch that's at the bottom-left corner of the factory. I press the button, and it reversed the direction of the conveyor belt. I ride the conveyor belt, and I battle more grunts. I climb the stairs, and another room... I enter the room, and I find three women working for Team Flare. One of them has green hair, and red clothes, while another has purple hair and red clothes. The one in the middle has red hair with white clothes, so I assume this is another Team Flare Admin, and the other two are Team Flare Scientists, just like Aliana! They're trying to convince the Company President of Poke Ball Factory to work for Team Flare, and they say that if he would just help out, they wouldn't have to carry all these Pokeballs by themselves. They also say that with a contribution of $5,000,000, he can become a member of Team Flare. The president says that he'll never forgive any group that tries to take all the Pokeballs for themselves. The green-haired Scientist tells the Admin that they're wasting time with this person, and she agrees. She then says that since there's no one they can use here, they're going to blow this place to smithereens! However, I'm here to save the day, and they ask if an intruder is here, which the president snaps at them, and begs me to help him, which makes the Admin tease him by saying that he's getting a little desperate. She then states that she's just going to have to extinguish his little glimmer of hope by defeating me. She sends out Scraggy and Houndoom, but I beat them easily with Grimsley's Surf. She tells me that I didn't need to go all out for a pitiful president, and the purple-haired Scientist says that's just embarrassing from an Admin. The purple-haired Scientist also says that she and the green-haired Scientist will clean up after her, and they battle me. They gang up on me with two versus one, and they say that they must improve their chances of winning. However, Serena arrives just in time to help me out. She apologizes that she's late, and the Scientists are surprised that there's another one, but one or two kids doesn't make a difference. The purple-haired Scientist says that when they're the ones fighting together, their odds of victory increase exponentially. Serena snaps back, telling them that they might want to check their numbers, and asks them if they're really even scientists. She then asks me if I'm ready, and I am. You two... are going DOWN! You're NOT getting away with the Pokeballs! Team Flare Scientist Celosia (purple-haired Scientist) sends out Manetric, Team Flare Scientist Bryony (green-haired Scientist) sends out Liepard, Serena sends out Meowstic, and I send out Grimsley. Grimsley uses Surf, but hits Meowstic, while knocking out Liepard. Grimsley then finishes the job by knocking out Manetric with Extrasensory, and we win the battle! Bryony and Celosia are horrified that they lost, and the Admin yells at them to be quiet, and says that they have already stolen the Pokeballs, Great Balls, and Ultra Balls. She says that they should just call it good and leave. They retreat, and the president is grateful that we saved the day. He says that we're astounding Pokemon Trainers for being so young. He shows his appreciation by giving us either a Master Ball or a Big Nugget. Serena lets me choose first. I choose the Master Ball, just because, and as a bonus, he gives me the Big Nugget! He gives both items to Serena too, who's grateful for them. The president says that he's sure we'll put them to great use, and says that we're different from Team Flare. He says that even HE doesn't know the proper way to use a Big Nugget. He then wonders what Team Flare was planning to accomplish by taking all of the Pokeballs for themselves. He says that without Pokeballs, people can't catch Pokemon, which means many people won't be able to make friends with Pokemon. As soon as I try to leave the Poke Ball Factory, Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno show up, and Shauna asks if it's okay to go have a look around now. Serena gets out of the president's office, and says that Team Flare messed everything up, and says that it's not a good time right now. Shauna is oblivious of Team Flare, and Trevor asks if they were the ones in red suits. Serena tells them the current situation, and they're all sad that Team Flare took all of the Pokeballs. They say that Team Flare is terrible, and Tierno asks what they should do now. He then says that according to the map, Dendemille Town is next. Trevor and Tierno leave, and Shauna says that me and Serena are really awesome, and says that we are way stronger than Team Flare. She tells us to try to not to do anything crazy, and leaves. Serena thanks me, and says that everyone's okay, thanks to me. She says that if she keeps relying on me like this, going on this journey will lose its meaning. I then leave. Serena... Why were you at the President's office for so long? As soon as I leave the Poke Ball Factory, I get a Holo Clip from a staff member of Lysandre Labs with a special news bulletin, saying that the Poke Ball Factory in the area around Laverre has been attacked. She says that the identities of those involved are unknown. However, this is not expected to have any effect on the sales of Pokeballs... Which means that the Pokemarts are safe. First electricity, and now Pokeballs! What is Team Flare after? What is Team Flare planning to accomplish? Current Pokemon Stats: Not much has changed. A few Pokemon leveled up, but that's it. Tringus
Chapter XVII: The Spooky Lost Hotel, And The History Of The Destructive Pokemon, Yveltal! I head out into Route 15, or Brun Way, and I find trainers EVERYWHERE. EVEN IN THE LEAVES!!! I battle the trainers, and find some cool items hiding in the leaves. Most of the trainers here are Pokemon Rangers, and one of them even said that a man named Lysandre helped him out long ago and kept him on his path. I battle the rest of the trainers, and cross a bridge. As soon as I cross the bridge, I get a Holo Clip from Lysandre, who tells me that according to Professor Sycamore's research, Mega Evolution releases all of a Pokemon's hidden energy at once. He says that the Pokemon then exhibits a level of power it could not attain through ordinary Evolution. He wonders what meaning could we draw from this, and wonders if all people and Pokemon have such potential, or is it hidden within a chosen few. He then leaves, and the Holo Clip ends. Lysandre sure is such a strange man... If only Colress was in Kalos... Otherwise, he could help us with Mega Evolution, and make it better! I battle the rest of the trainers on Route 15, and I find the Lost Hotel, where I battle a bunch of Punks. When I get to the end, the two Punks say that I'm not stylish enough, so I can't meet the boss. I leave the Lost Hotel, and I head south to Route 16, or Melancolie Path, which I can also get to if I go through Lumiose City, so I fly there, and go into Route 16 from there. I find the Fishing Shack, where a Fisherman gives me the Super Rod, and I learn about Consecutive Fishing, which actually increases the rate of finding Shiny Pokemon! After training Mr. Muffintops by battling a bunch of Fishermen and Water-type Pokemon, I fly back to Dedemille Town, where I heal my Pokemon in the Pokemon Center. However, I also find Mr. Bonding in the corner again doing who-knows-what. He gives me another O-Power and leaves. I'm seriously starting to realize what the O in O-Power means... And it's not pretty... As soon as I try to continue my journey, Professor Sycamore and Dexio arrive. Professor Sycamore says that when he was younger, he visited many different regions as well. He met many kinds of Pokemon and noticed how each place had its own distinctive flavors. So, he really came to enjoy trying new foods as he traveled. Because of his adventures, he is an expert on the cafes all over Kalos. Dexio interrupts him, but Professor Sycamore says that he's going somewhere with this. He then asks me if I remember the Pokemon Lysandre mentioned in the cafe. If he means the Legendary Pokemon, then yes. He then tells me about Kalos's Legendary Pokemon... Yveltal! He tells me that according to material he's read, those who saw it were so overwhelmed by its power, they were only able to say that this Pokemon resembled the letter Y. Apparently, Yveltal will absorb energy. Yveltal's life span is said to be 1,000 years. When it reaches the end of its life, it steals all of the spirits around it. Dexio wonders where a Pokemon that amazing could be now, and Professor Sycamore says that when Kalos's Legendary Pokemon loses all of its vitality, it goes to sleep in a secret place. However, he doesn't have a clue where Yveltal could be. He says that the writings that mention it are also around a thousand years old, so they aren't much help. Dexio turns to me, and says that it would be absolutely astounding if I found Yveltal. He then says that he'll look into the legend a little bit, and also says that if he finds something, he'll let me know. Professor Sycamore says that he would also be thrilled if I found Yveltal. However, my journey is mine and my Pokemon's alone. He wants me to enjoy myself and do whatever I like. Well if THAT was the case, then this game probably wouldn't be rated E, now would it? Professor Sycamore and Dexio leave, and Trevor arrives. He was looking for the Professor so he could look at Trevor's Pokedex in person. He then says that he can still get his Pokedex evaluated at a Pokemon Center's PC. He then tells me that he's heading off to go look for Pokemon in the Frost Cavern and fill up more of his Pokedex. I then go around town, and collect some items, such as TM42 Facade, which I get from a little boy in a house near the windmill. Once I get all of the items, I then decide to follow Trevor to Frost Cavern, because from what I've heard, the Mamoswine that's supposed to be at Route 17, or Mamoswine Road (Obviously, since Mamoswine is used here) is worried about what's going on at Frost Cavern. Could Team Flare be up to something at Frost Cavern? Current Pokemon Stats: Not much has changed. A few Pokemon leveled up, Oh, and Eris learned Shadow Ball, AND got to knock out a few Pokemon for the first time!
