Shadyshlt
So i have some problems with the gym leader shade, and by reading on the forums i see that i'm not the only one. Currently my pokemon team is: Typloshion. Lv.40 Mr. Mime.Lv.40 Golem. Lv.40 Unzefant.Lv.37 Spinda.Lv.39 Emolga.Lv.40 Many people seem to have problems with chandelure, although with my golem i am able to oneshot him with magnitude (if I'm lucky and get a magnitude 8.) So he is out of the way with a little luck, if not my emolga can take care of him with "Acrobatics" (Seeing he ate his berry) For rotom i usually tend to either wear it down with pure force, or i will use status moves on him (E.G Confusion, Paralysis) The real problem lies in his gengar, he wrecks me. he can't take that much of a hit himself though, if i'm able to defeat him with no casualities i will often get to his spririt bomb before i'm left with mr. mime. Any tips on what pkmn would be good to get for this boss/gym leader? Though i am too restless to grind lvl's on my pkmn, anything i can do with my current team? Thanks in advance and sorry for my english -Shady/Ryanarr
ShatteredSkys
If you really can't get past him consider using x items to boost your pokemon up during the fight.
Soysauce
Hmmm, maybe you could use a Gyarados instead of Spinda or Mr Mime in this gym. Just watch out for Rotom and you'll be all fine with that monster. =p
Tomas Elliot
Don't want to sound harsh or anything, but what the hell are Spinda and Mr.Mime doing, still in your team at this point of the game? By this time, you should have obtained at least a Gardevoir/Gallade (which is better than Mime as a Psychic type) and any other Pokemon (which is better than Spinda). Hell, even Alakazam is possible, you can get an Abra by trading away a Bibarel... Many Pokemon you could obtain before this point via events would be useful. Electivire (yes it is possible) could be useful. Gligar could be useful. Sharpedo could be useful, Houndoom could be useful, hell the list goes on. I'd need to know which events you have actually exploited and which you have skipped before giving detailed suggestions... For example: did you take part in the Magma subquest or in the Aqua one? Sanji
I LOL-ed when I saw the tag "unbeatable" attached to this thread... Anyway, I beat him in the first try with this team (all lvl 38-39) : Infernape, Vibrava, Luxray, Gardevoir (my Gardevoir pretty much demolished him) and Kadabra which I didn't even had to use but I placed him there in any case. My 6th is zigzagon which I keep around to pick up stuff
Scenekidlove
I beat Shade by getting my L36 Gardevoir a +6 Calm Mind set up onto his rotom. After that its getting Her to Full health, Paralysis gone + an Xspeed and I cleaned him easily on the first try. So have something go +6 CM with an Xspeed and sweep him
Red'sCharizard
All I used for Shade was Scrafty which I leveled up to 39.
Babylonian Queen
If you have a electrike with lighting rod it may be useful against rotom or a Donphan. Also a magby or a zubat or poocheana. Hope this helped. 'Be warned his chandelure knows energy ball!!!!'
iggyazalea1
Hey cherish and nurture your Spinda lol don't get a Gardevoir, thats generic and boring
Gold
If you didnt catch it yet, I reccomend Scraggy, to evolve into Scrafty, because they re Dark/Fighting, and Dark is pretty effective, even more considering it learns Faint Attack, that never misses and Payback, that doubles damage if you attack after your enemy, Scraggy/Scrafty is good to replace Spinda who doesnt even affect ghosts, and to replace Mr. Mime who's weak to Ghosts, maybe Patrat/Watchog because they learn Bite and Crunch
