Type Specialization?

Didn't seem to fit anywhere else, so... yeah :D

I do love my water types. And the situation is likewise with my steel and ground types :) Presently, I am working on a partially-specialized team for what I hope will be an interesting gym challenge here XD

I did spot a couple of water specialists on these boards, and was just wondering if there were actually more type specialists out here other than the gym leaders :)

PS - I do find it somewhat hard to specialize online, lol. Between legendaries and unlucky match-ups (bad typing!), my team goes down rather frequently XD

Ghost, Dark, and Psychic are actually my favorite three types, in that order.

I sorta wanna try a mono-Ghost or -Psychic team now... Might be fun~

Yeeeah, the people who've known me longer will know that I typically favor Psychic/Dark/Ghost types, unlike Ikaru, in no particular order, however, given my recent rainophilia I couldn't not say that I don't specialize in water types.
...But only the ones I like.

It's funny you make this topic, MasterShaper, I was meaning to do one like this very soon myself anyway.

lol, maybe it's fate ~ (and for the record, I just despise politoed and its Drizzle, despite being primarily a water player) :)

TYPE SPECIALISTS ARISE ~ XD

Though I am now doubting whether I can make it past the gym gauntlet using my specialized team... It does have three main types instead of one, but still...

Hmm, maybe the results will have to speak for themselves, either way :D

PS - It's always fun to let my team be seen, and then dish out a surprise walloping to some dude who brought a specific hate team along XD Rarely happens, but it's always satisfying when it does come to pass :)

I used to use a Dragon Team which failed badly for the league. I'm currently using a monotype Rain Team and I also have a Fire-Grass Sun Team

For anyone who shouts Ground!, shut up, my sand team only has 3 ground Pokemon >>

I basicly specialize in every type except poison ATM >_>........ I will never get the hang of poison, not even to help a certain someone out.
I hardly ever use legendaries to battle with anymore, so thats not the case with poison. Its just the usage of Ono and Earthquake that mess over me and Magic mirror is a bitch sometimes
Out of the 16 types I specialize in, I mastered both Ghost & Normal types and excel in them abit more then the others.

Triple negative. Oh good god my brain. And I think it's wrong, to boot.

For me? Fighting's probably my favorite type, as I play offensive, but I also love Steels because a Dragon resist means they can come in on an Outrage and set up/phaze/whatever. And with the shitload of Dragons that terrorize the metagame (Dragonite, Kingdra, Salamence, Garchomp, Ononokusu, Sazandora, Lati@s, etc.), it's not tough to find an easy switch in for Steels.

Fighting Pokes that are awesomeness:
~Roobushin
~Blaziken
~Zuruzukin
~LUCARIO
~Kobaruon
~Terakion
~Kerudion
~Machamp
~Infernape
~Kojondo

Steel Pokes that are awesomeness:
~Metagross
~Skarmory
~LUCARIO
~Kobaruon
~Scizor
~Bronzong
~Heatran
~Doryuuzu
~Nattorei
~Genosect (DENNIS)

I had a dream during the last month that Nintendo and Gamefreak approached me to be the regional Gym Leader of Arizona. I chose to be a dual Bug / Normal type Gym. It seemed odd to me after I woke up, but I suppose it's true. Scizor, Shuckle and Yanmega are my favorite Bug Pokemon I like to use and I do like a lot of other ones like Pinsir, Heracross and Beedrill. Then of course for Normal types there is Snorlax as well as Togekiss and Kangaskhan. As with Bugs there are ones I just like such as Persian, Tauros and Ursaring.

I think I would also add Ground as a third favorite type. Nidoking and Nidoqueen, Marowak, Sandslash, Donphan and Flygon among others. To be honest though, I find it hard to think of a favorite type. There are plenty of Pokemon from those three groups that I hate and other groups that have only a few I like, but I really like them. For the sake of discussion and giving an answer: Bug / Ground / Bug.

I should make a Bug / Normal team...

I personally love Bug and fire types. i can win at a rate of about 80% on the beta's find battle with either mono type. and as you can probably tell by my love of the two types, volcarona is my third favorite pokemon
