Seems like a decent team. But out of curiosity why use Quagsire over Swampert? Like I love Quagsire, but he is just worse than Swampert in pretty much everyway. I guess Swampert wont get Earthquake until 51, but that doesn't really matter for this next gym anyway (and after the gym you can raise him to 50, then rare candy him to 51 past the lv cap, then back down to 50 after he learns EQ).

Next gym might be tricky cause of the rain/water types, but you have a lot of rock slide users, so getting lucky with flinches is certainly possible.

My quagsire learned it

It literally can't. Unless the special shadow one gets it or something

EDIT: Neverminded, just tested it and mine learned it too, they must have added Gen 8 move sets to all mons, did not realize that. I seem to recall that some of my mons still used Gen 7 move sets, but guess I am just mistaken?

Sill toxic is only so useful, unless you are willing to spam potions it will only do so much for you, and if you ban potions like I do, then it is pretty useless without something like recover/rest. That being said it is OP in some fights, like Angel of Death for example. I still stand by it being worse than Swampert in most cases.

I do not disagree, but Quagsire does get recover, and it is useful for chipping down things

Really? Serebii says he does not by lv up. Does the special shadow one get it or something?

Edit: It can be gotten as an egg move. So technically yes it does get it.

Well I will try to use every Mon :) So not a special team right now,

Thanks. I will do that with Swampert :) Thanks for tip.

hey Dumbo can be good with endeavour ,earthquake ,iceshard and changeable move .may be useless but could be a good mon to look forward to.but i think making it defensive will also give an edge  .its my opinion though

Yeah I think Dumbo will be better in later game. But for now he is just not enough. I mean you can't get move Tutor on Sheridan at the moment.  and his only good mmove for now would be EQ.

I might have been mistaken about the Swampert Earthquake level FYI. I learned that some mons like Quagsire use gen 8 move sets, so Swampert might also. Thought, maybe Quagsire uses gen 8 movesets since they were in Sword/Shield, but Swampert wasn't, and will use gen 7? I know for a fact, that some mons do use Gen 7 move sets, like Arcannine for example. Not realty sure anymore, so I would save before hand just in case, if it uses gen 8 move sets, then you will need the move relaerner for earthquake instead.

Somebody has any tips for me against Angie? Her team is near by one shooting every Mon of mine with the damn ice attacks...

I can beat Jynx and Arctovish easily.

Her Beatric + Crabominable gave me the most trouble for now... Both are faste then any of my Mons so far... Also is there still her Walrein + her 6th Mon waiting for me...

I know that I can melt the ice with FlameBurst from Camerupt, but as I said, it's directly getting one shooted...

Well the first question you gotta ask is what can you do back to those said Pokemon? Do you have something that can one shot in return under the right circumstances? Is there anything you can get so you can beat those Pokemon?

Gonna butcher all the Pokemon names, but here I go...

Mamoswine is probably a good choice since ice is neutral against it. If Golem has sturdy then it could be useful to get off a rock slide or explosion maybe, you could explode while Golurk is out since it would be immune. Aloan Dugtrio is steel, which gives you a type advantage vs her. Other than that bring fast mons, with rock slide, preferably trained in speed EV, and try to outspeed her, if they have rock slide you can just get lucky with flinches and win eventually.

Edit: melting the field is not helpful, she will just restore it with one use of Cold Truths, so don't even bother. Flygon is probably bad here, since it will just get imploded instantly, I would only bring mons that are neutral to ice.

At this point in the game, you should be able to get yourself a Steelix as well. At least one Link Heart should be available and if you haven't found a metal coat yet, you should be able to farm one of the magnetilo in the safari zone (compoind eyes strats should still work 🤔 ). That would be another Steel-type and overall an amazing mon.

Also, you can get yourself a Rhyhorn in a den on Route 4. I think it's the one next to one of the lost kids locations. Another rock type against Angie.

For tips: You could use Sandstorm onix/steelix (smooth stone) to change the weather, could already be a game changer. I think he learns it a bit above lvl cap, not sure, but you could just rare candy -> reverse rare candy for the missing ones. I did that back in my rock-mono run when V13 released.

Sturdy Golem is amazing to survive a hit for sure and counter attack with a powermove, or to bait out a water move from Arctovish and switch to water absorb quagsire. can't garuantee that she'll go for it though.

As for Crabomidable, I would advice to go for a field seed and then one shot it with sth powerful, Camerupt might be your best choice.

p.s.: dunno about your personal rule-set concerning catching pokemon, but if you breed yourself a donphan with endeaver + ice shard and ability Sturdy, you have extremely powerful mon for any 1v1 situation, if a mon gives you trouble.

furthermore there are a few more pokemon you coulg get at this point if you didnt know:

Spoiler

- sandyghast is on valor shore! in the grass patches on the small islands surrounded by water and only in the morning, I think. might be a simple 1HKO for Jynx if you need one.

- galarian yamask is in whispy ruins and evolves by taking at least 49 damage in whispy ruins without dying afaik. Could be used to take an ability off angies mons, i.e. Beartrics Slush rush (pretty sure it runs that)

- silicobra should be in phasial cave on route 3, not a common encounter though but not too rare, probably about 10%. could be another way to set up sandstorm.

Good luck!
