I saw Oscaru's post about his own version of Ame's team and it made me want to publish my own team of hers based on my AU Rebornfic series "Reborn: Chronicverse. Also I could perhaps post other characters teams I designed for them in the forums after so long time.

Went down the rabbit hole and did lots of research about Ame's Pokenon and will use Pokemon, she likes mostly (from custom battles, Memeborn mods and Tumblr asks to ingame inform) and I'm trying my best to stay both true on her avatar and make it overall nice and strong team for her.

We only know only little about Ame's team (until the current E18 like Saphira, Lin and the Elite 4), unlike many other Champion teams from other Pokemon games for example (Steve, Cynthia, Diantha etc.)

Spoiler

Thanks alot Lin and you stupid Hydreigon for making her lose her head *angry Evi noises*

Here's some questions I have in mind, when it comes to a Pokemon trainer's team👇🏽:

❤ What is their rank?

💙 What type(s)/theme(s) they specifically specialize?

💚 How it's the team build or function?

💜 What do these respective Pokemon represent?

👆🏽These make me think about Ame, what kind of a character she was in Reborn. From her personality to her Pokemon team. 👆🏽

To clarify it upfront, this concept is a non-canon and it's more associated with AU elements of my fanmade series more than in Gameverse. Also it is a team for Amethyst's avatar and not the the game developer herself. Keep that on mind please👀💡

Also no levels and held items; expect Mega Stones, Z-Crystals, Seeds and some expectional boost items. Plus in an anime-like world where we don't have to worry about levels, EVs, IVs, base stats or other bullcrap, our imagination can go to infinity and beyond, especially with creativity 😁🚀

Ah, here's something else, before I start: Some of the information will be taken from my AU fanfic" Reborn: Chronicverse" storyline and most of the characters based on many alternative scenarios together with a fantasy/supernatural theme and more personally-added elements, like having my OC as protagonist, events being drastically changed (like some characters get to live or playing a bigger role) or using/having magic powers for example. For short, the fanfic trilogy is 100% based on an alternative timeline than in the canonical one, including various AU headcanons as well.

Okay, enough with the long talk and let's dive into the au team concept of Reborn's champion, shall we?

Let's start with the most important piece of a trainer's team: The signature Pokemon, that is commonly more associated with it's trainer. The leader or star of their team, that holds a more deeper connection to them, than their other Pokemon in particular. Could more than just one signature mon (like Blaine from Kanto, Olympia from Kalos etc.).

It was an easy pick for Ame's ace, since it's more associated with her in an aesthetic and personal sense.

🌙Signature Pokemon: (Mega) Absol🌙

absol-mega.png.403f030139b0362ce841dc21a818f5d7.png

Ability: Super Luck, Magic Bounce (in Mega Form)

Gender: Male♂️

Moveset: Night Slash, Psycho Cut, Shadow Claw, Detect

Outside/Others moves: Megahorn, Zen Headbutt, Shadow Ball, Ice Beam

Description

3rd Pokemon, Ame encountered overall. Her royal friend since her childhood days, she encountered it in Chauros Mountain at 8 during a family vacation and was chosen to be it's trainer. Like Ame, he deeply cares for the Reborn region and desires to help those in need, despite the hardships around them.

My Reason(s):

1)They are both kinda enigmatic in an odd but good way. Mysterious, but kind and charming beings.

2) Intimidating aura it emits. Chronicverse Ame is nice and supportive, but once you anger her... Run for your lives.

3) They are in a sense of "Guardian Angels" for me. Like watching over Reborn with Absol roaming around during our journey ingame. Ame is the leader of the "Restoration Project" and like her father (the previous Champion) cares for her homeregion and does her best to save it against all odds. They are watching above the people and protect them. Warn them. Helping them. They care. Like trainer, like Pokemon.

Fun fact: In my AU, Absols are an endangered species in Reborn due to the majority of them being hunted and  killed in the last years, because they are blamed as the scapegoats for "attracting disasters" by a supernatural species. Luckily they are a few of them alive, but hide themselves from civilization mostly. Others decided to choose a trainer to live with them, if they are worthy of a good yet determined heart.

Spoiler

In which Ame and Luna were approved as such people and worthy trainers in this case.

Now coming up with her second Pokemon in the team and potentially her alternative and secondary signature one...

❄2) Alolan Ninetales❄

ninetales-alolan.png.6d0ee777ce0ac5007c497096929270d1.png

Ability: Snow Warning

Gender: Female♀️

Moveset: Aurora Veil, Freeze- Dry, Dazzling Gleam, Nasty Plot

Outside/Other moves: Blizzard, Ice Beam, Psyshock & Mist

Description

Ame's 1st Pokemon, recieved as a birthday gift from her late mother. It's her most treasured Pokemon in her team and her most favourite one. It often accompanies her trainer on several occasions.

My Reason(s):

1) It was an one obvious, wasn't it?

2) Elegance and grace befits Ame very much in appearance due to her white hair and it's very pretty.

3) The greatest supporter thanks to Snow Warning + Aurora Veil tactic or other icy shenanigans, despite it's 4x weakness to Steel types.

Fun fact: Ame's Alolan Ninetales is the mother of the many Alolan Vulpixs, that live in Grand Hall. Even have their own big room with many luxurious things for them.

Also some female characters have Alolan Ninetales in their teams, since having one is considered like having a Milotic or another beautiful Pokemon. Bonus points, if they are on the same team.

Now here comes another Pokemon, that could be confirmed and considered in Ame's team, if you look on some certain parts of the game. Like picking a certain Water type Starter at the very beginning of the game, the Champion's quote is slightly changed and another NPC during the Starter Egg sidequest is confirmed that fact. Even the game developer...

🌊3) Primarina🌊

primarina.png.05a699cb00ec6616db006c84ddbcd107.png

Ability: Liquid Voice

Gender: Female♀️

Moveset: Moonblast, Psychic, Sparkling Aria, Blizzard

Outside/Other moves: Hydro Pump, Hyper Voice, Acrobatics, Iron Tail

Description

A Starter Pokemon for the once little prodigy by the previous Champion, her father, to start her own journey.  Sometimes she likes Popplios too much than anyone else...

My Reason(s):

1) It's confirmed in the game and in Amethyst's Tumblr account, that the Primarina line is her favourite one, especially Popplios (because they are very cute, like the fluffpixs).

2) Aestheticwise it fits her and is a solidly good special attacker with good moves overall.

Fun fact: Her Primarina's singing often acts as a way to calm the Champion, helping her to relax or sleep easier. You could consider it a therapy Pokemon, especially when dealing with many bullshit from the council and various other problems, which she handles it pretty good... But there are some rare moments, she gets stressed.

Okay, we just finished with the first half of Ame's team with all the confirmed in-game Pokemon (Her Ace Absol, A. Ninetales and Primarina). As for the other last 3 Pokemon... It gets a bit difficult, since we could establish, that Ame favours Fairy types, adorable Pokemon and... maybe elegant/beautiful ones. I'd say, that there aren't so many options left, if we went into game competitive stuff (and I suck on those🥴) and just choosing some random mons would be not great for our champion, right?

Yes and no, because 1) they are no more clues so far- you could say in the canon game... However, I disagree you on the "No" part, because I dig the possibilities out for this problem.

And especially, when this lovely white haired lady was...

Spoiler

formerly the 2nd Fairy Gym Leader in my "Reborn: Chronicverse", before she took over her father's position as the league's Champion, after the latter died in a... tragic accident along with his wife (Ame's mother) 5 years ago.

Yes, my friends you heard that right. Our champion used to be a Fairy-Type Gym Leader, after the previous gym leader... vanished one day.

So we could say, she prefers Fairy types the most, even if she isn't one any longer. So, I picked the probably best ones for a Fairy lover and where she used them in many battles. I represent you guys.....

Sylveon and Whimsicott👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

sylveon.png.468ee8de6074fb31b40eec0d869c8771.png

whimsicott.png.1b807195f1888755a3aafed455668bc1.png

(Imagine this as a Reborn shiny and yup, I'm giving her a shiny)

I pick these two Fairy Pokemon, because they do happen to be the favourite ones of Amethyst. Gardevoir was also a choice to go with, but decided against it because of their abilities and movesets. Also bonus points with them being her favourite ones from Amethyst.

4️⃣I'll start with Whimsicott:

Ability: Prankster

Gender: Female♀️

Moveset: Tailwind, Nature Power, Dazzling Gleam, Cotton Guard

Outside/Other moves: Moonblast, Magic Leaf, Toxic, Hidden Power (Fire), U-Turn

Don't lie, the Prankster, it is a very useful setter of status moves and that's why it's also a popular Pokemon for supports🙂👍🏼

5️⃣Now into to her Sylveon:

Ability: Pixilate

Gender: Male♂️

Moveset: Hyper Voice, Dazzling Gleam, Psyshock, Hidden Power (Ground)

Outside/Other moves: Calm Mind, Sunny Day, Shadow Ball, Wish

And now for the last spot of her team: First I was against the idea of using Legandaries in teams, but didn't scrapped the idea entirely. Just change it a little.

Spoiler

Although, she is bonded with one Legandary/Mythical Pokemon like many other characters are or were (in some tragic cases for them both)... However it's a massive spoiler for the upcoming chapters and arcs.

So I decided to pick another Pokemon she likes, that could be also confirmed in her team, if we look ver closely into the Director's office (which was Ame's office). A Lopunnite to be exactly...

lopunny.png.14e0888e081f5d6f39de455eeb614bcf.png

Yeah, Ame has a lovely cute Lopunny that can kick your butts, if you don't out.

Lopunny is her Nr.6️⃣

Ability: Limber

Gender: Female♀️

Moveset: Fake Out, Fire Punch, Power- Up Punch, Return

Outside/Others: High Jump Kick, Bounce, Attract, Ice Punch, Dizzy Punch

And with that concludes my AU team for Ame Liddell's😁

I hope you guys (especially you Amethyst, if you notice it, like my version of it. I don't expect much, but it is fun writing AU stuff and designing teams for various Pokemon characters. This makes me very happy🙂👉🏽👈🏽

Which Field Effect is Ame Liddell fought at?

Have finished the concept of Ame's team for my AU Rebornfic series "Reborn: Chronicverse", that I almost forgot the most important piece, which is the main standard in the Reborn region and it's league: The Field Effects.

Not only didn't we saw too much of Ame's team in-game, but only small glimpses... We never find out, which field she prefers to fight during the Pokemon battles, like many gym leaders and trainers have in the region...

But fear not I have picked two alternatives, that would fit Reborn's champion like a glove. Like in the previous post, this is merely for my AU Rebornfic and NOT for the official and canon game of Reborn; just a concept for it💡

Okay, let's start with the first and easiest Field Effect for Ame:

Misty Terrain

I revealed that in my AU, Ame used to be the 2nd Fairy Gym Leader of Coral Gym after the previous one disappeared one day and was never found again. For 5 years, she used to uphold the position until her father (the previous Champion) died and took over his place at the age of 20. She also had a Reborn League profile, her first one a Gym Leader Profile specifically:

Title: Fairy Maiden

Specializes in: Fairy types

Badge: Amaranth Badge

Rank: Ace Leader (Rank A)

Strategy: Combination of type coverage and increasing defenses

Battle Format: Single Battles

Confirmed Gym Team: A. Ninetales, Primarina, Sylveon, Whimsicott, Aromatisse and Grandbull

This confirms all the information, that I could confirm spoiler-free for now on and you could say, Ame was like Noel as a Gym Leader with similar tactics and strategies🥴🤷🏽‍♀️

Alright then, guys! Now into her second field after she became Reborn's 2nd Champion, shall we?

For Ame I decided to go for the Starlight Arena for various reasons:

1) It boost Fairy, Psychic and Dark type moves on this field.

2) Aestheticwise, it suits Ame very much. Just look at the nightly sky with the many stars. Isn't it pretty?

Spoiler

Anna would have a field day and enjoy this very much with Nostra. Like this field effect is made for her

3) I established as a headcanon, that Ame loves stargazing and enjoying the nights more than the morning days. It is quiet, peaceful (well sometimes) and it is also fought sometimes at night.

And here's her second and current Reborn League Profile👇🏽:

Title: Grand Champion

Specializes in: Varied (but mostly Fairy and Dark types)

Rank: 2nd Champion

Strategy: Counter attack with type coverage

Battle Format: Single Battles or Triple Battles

Confirmed Team: (Mega) Absol, A. Ninetales, Primarina, Lopunny, Sylveon and Whimsicott

Wouldn't that be nice for a friendly sparing match one day? Maybe, just maybe🤫....

And with two chosen different Field Effects, I'm officially finished with making Ame's team and I hope, you guys like my concept on both parts🙂

I'm flattered, being an inspiration for someone (the last time that happened, my friend got a depression because she thought she'd never match me; unfourtunately, she still thinks that way).

However, I'm more than impressed with the details that you've put into; giving the team actual movesets and abilities insted of mine "Oh, this Pokemon could learn this, that and those". Also... how could I forget about Field!? That is so embarassing!!!

Actually, when you think about it... it kinda matches, because when Florinia asked Oscar (my OC) about noticing the additional effects of the Field, he was like "What Field? We killed everrything in one strike. Was there any field to begin with?". Currently, he cares more about Fields, as Gym Leaders are now more aware of his abilites and won't be holding back (so, expect longer and more described Gym Battles). But, he was doing it earlier still (using Aggron to ignore poisoning of Corrosive Mist Fields and have it jump instead of run in the Wasteland Field, or have Reuniclus reflect and deflect attacks to counter Serra's strategies; including Froslass' Double Team powered by reflections of Mirror Field)

Continiuing, you "repaired" my "mistake" by giving her the "right" type speciality. I gave Ame Dark because I assumed her ace is Absol (which might be), and since all Aces match up to thier Trainers' type speciality (if they have) or theme (fe.: Solaris has Garchomp, as it is a deadly Pokemon which is one of the icon of Sandstorm teams). Also... just because it's a Dark-type (Evil type in Japan), doesn't mean the trainer has to be evil or something. In fact, I cannot recall ANY Dark-type specialist; be that canon or fanmade games, that is evil, cruel, villanoius... there are some creepy ones, but that's about it. Still yes, Fairy suits her more.

The reason I would not give her Primarina, however, is because it is a one of Cain's signature Pokemon (one of the very few Trainers in Reborn to have two aces). But that's justified with the backstory which seems interesting, to say the least. And definetly better than mine: in my universe, it was just said Ame was a prodigy, Ace Gym Leader... and so timid that she was scared to enter depressed man's house to give him a simple gift. In comparison, Shelly was a symbol of courage (oh, and apparently she was besties with Euphie and in very good relationships with Adrienn). We know that eventually she overcame the difficulties, after having become Champion, because other potential candidates were...

Spoiler

Adrienn who disappeared earlier in the story,

Radomus who was overcoming his own personal demons,

Caroline and Monthy had children to be taken care of and no one could replace them as Fire and Dragon Leaders respectively,

and Elias also had his own duties within Elite Four and also taking care of Luna and Taka

Nevertheless, I'd like to see and read the fanfic of yours.

Finally, there would be something to read.

Your welcome, Oscarus. I like to add the details, as long it makes sense and it fits the research🙂

Also that's okay, if you forgot some things and you'll learn from them. Now I'm curious, what Field Effect your OC could use, if given a choice.

Well the grunts from the villainous teams from the canon games (like Team Magma, Team Rocket, Team Plasma etc.) could be a sinister example, but people like Karen, Grimsley aren't (although the latter gave me still some creeps), despite being Dark type specialists themselves. You could also say, there's "good Darkness (Luna) and bad Darkness (Zero), good Light (Mitsuko, my Hoenn OC) and bad Light (Elias)".

Choosing the Fairy type for Ame was the easiest choice due to the number of Fairy Pokemon in her team (and seeing many custom battle videos around her having such Pokemon and even battled in the Misty Terrain in one video)...

Spoiler

Especially, when her family has a strong preference for Fairy/Fighting/Normal and Steel types and mostly grew up surrounded by them in my AU

Absol is associated with her and Lopunny could be also considered as part of the team, if you dig enough down the rabbit hole and voila: Bunch of headcanons💡

However, I'll make sure not to overlap too many times😅

What made me interested is, that how our "Ames" differ from eachother in out respective Rebornfics: Your once timid one, who underwent an interesting character development and mine being a kind-hearted and hardworking person, who decides to protect and make her father's dream and protect her already ruined region, fighting against two villainous organizations (Team Meteor and a corrupted mafia clan family that played a direct role in Reborn's downfall) and being in charge.

Oh, I've forgotten about them. Because I was thinking about important characters.

Now when you mention it... Once, while I was doing analysis of Oscar and Solaris being "mirror reflections" of each other, I've noticed something interesting:

- Oscar Pendragon wears all black and dark (someone even asked me, because of it and different similarities, I quote "Is he Cynthia's son?"), is brutal and relentless; not afraid to dirty his hands, but aside from his homicidal nature, he's a chill guy with strong sense of justice and faith.

- Elias Hazel portrays himself as a holy man, devoted completely to Arceus, but many things he say and do can be described as "heretical". Like copying Arceus with Ditto (creating "Dittoceus" - a cheap copy of Alpha Pokemon), or forcing Luna into following his beliefs.

(also, was he wearing leather in the Subseven Sanctum? Because that's what it looked like - yet we are limited due to the nature of pixeled over world).

So. Yeah, here we have Good Darkness and Evil Light.

Now I'm curious, what Field Effect your OC could use, if given a choice.

......................

PTSD activated

I've once created a fanmade battle for myself (I, unfortunately, don't have it now {I've left it in my former computer}) and... holy shit, this was pure Kaizo! I was... amateur back then, and didn't think about some methods, but still! To this day, whenever I hear "Battle! VS Meteor Commander" I see the image of:

"Pokemon Trainer Oscar

would like to battle!"

"Pokemon Trainer Oscar

sent out Aggron"

The battle too place on Dragon's Den - with me being a Dragon specialist; I'd obviously pick a field which favorites Dragons.

Continuing... That Aggron wasn't the most difficult to face, but was certainly tricky - with Sturdy, Stealth Rock being thrown at the beginning was basically certain. But Custap Berry ensured it will strike back if you activate Sturdy at the beginning. And since it had Heat Crash, Outrage and Head Smash, the damage would turn out to be REALLY nasty.

But then we get to Chandelure... and it hit like a fucking truck! 145 Sp Atk (and thanks to Elemental Seed it starts with +1 SpA), Timid nature, and wide moveset. I think I've given it Lava Plume instead of Flamethrower, because under that field it was stronger than even Fire Blast, and more accurate, with 30% chance if burning... Ouch, but two strong hits usually are enough to defeat it.

But then... One of the worst possibilities: Focus Sash Dragon Dance Haxorus. And because I kept forgetting about possiblity of changing the Field... After one turn, it's sky-high Attack and great Speed were doubled! One can say "so what? Just bring priority move after it uses the Sash and GG". Yeah, about that, on the first attempt I forgot, and other second I realized... sighs... that I had given it Extreme Speed... I wanted a difficult battle, and I created it, but it was just a beginning...

The next in line was Dragonite... ... ...

I think I don't need to explain WHY it was such a pain - after all, in a few months most of us will experience the terror Saphira Belrose shall bring upon us. Actually, while I was creating a team, and I selected Dragonite, then it was a moment when I realized how dangerous is Saphira gonna be...

(Fun Fact: Dragonite is the only Pokemon on the team Oscar isn't seen using in any universe: "game", "anime", "manga" nor "Reborn" ones. However he is using Dragonaiad in "anime" and Reborn - which can be considered Sacronian Dragonite. But it would be equally dangerous, if not more, with Dragon-Water typing and also having Multiscale)

Then we have Oscar's substitute ace - Hydreigon. Hitting hard, being fast, and able to take quite some hits... as long as those aren't Fairy-type, because it's not like every Hydreigon is as strong as Lin's. I don't remember what have I given it: was it Elemental Seed, Roseli Berry, or something else. Of the all pseudo-legends in that battle, it is the most manageable (yet cannot be disrespected).

And then... the ace...

Level 110 Sacronian Mega Tyranitar.

I had to bullshit my way through to make this Pokemon as powerful and challenging as in lore. So changing it's typing, moveset and BST...

I don't remember the details, but I think I've made it such a tank that it would scare off even early-and-mid game Dimensional Pokemon; Rock-Dragon upon Mega Evolving, Defense around 250, Special Defense around 200, Attack somewhere close to that of Mega Mewtwo X, Magic Guard as a Ability because it's the closest to Oscar's Tyranitar's Mega Ability (Coelesteus' Blessing)... Oh, and it - of course - knows Dragon Dance.

Did I win? I, honestly, have no idea.

But after V19 comes out, I'll create this battle anew and upgrade it. So not only I will have to suffer.
