Battery settings messing with Alt/M button

Hi all, everything works beautifully except one thing - I've been having issues with the speedup button (Alt/M) that some have highlighted in the Discord; wanted to start a thread here because the same fixes suggested there haven't worked for me (as well as having something to reference beyond flicking up a Discord thread)

When my laptop's running on battery, the speedup buttons work as intended, but when plugged in, the game reverts to normal pace and those commands become inert. The suggested fix on the discord might work for some people, so I've included it here:

Enter NVidia Control Panel (if that's what you're using!)

Go to 'Manage 3D settings' on the left-hand task menu

Select 'Program Settings' (as opposed to 'Global Settings'

Select Reborn's  exe file from the dropdown menu (add it if it doesn't come up)

Go to 'Antialiasing - FXAA' and make sure it's on

These steps didn't work for me, so I'm stuck playing on battery for now in lieu of a different fix, but hope it helps someone out!

Check your laptop's power saving settings-- they might be set to use more power when on battery rather than less. Alternatively, make sure you don't have any peripherals plugged in that would be draining power.

Thanks Ame - tried these out but no dice, but it's not a massive issue for me ATM; in fact given my ASD stuff it's probably the best way to make sure I take breaks! Started from a new save, so loving the new maps for the mission areas in the city so far! Hope you and Cass manage to get some well-earned rest

I had this problem as well but I managed to fix it. Using the same steps as in the first post except instead of the Antialiasing - FXAA, all the way at the bottom you might have whisper mode. Whisper mode might have it so the game is set at 40 fps, so changing it to 60 fps (which is kinda like 2x) or 90 fps (which feels like regular speed up speed) fixed the problem for me.

Can confirm that this was the issue all along for me! Thanks, didn't spot that the first time round.
